- Richard Tarnas gives a short overview of the current archetypal state of world affairs focusing on the Uranus square Pluto alignment from 2007-2020 and the Saturn-Pluto conjunction from 2018-2021. Filmed at the PCC/ESR spring retreat at Bishop's Ranch, Healdsburg CA.
Thank you Richard Tarnas! You and your work are a gift to all of us.
48:23 begins the section on January 2020 Saturn Pluto aspect
I feel that astrology is only useful in retrospect. Too open to interpretation for making predictions.
@@masterdoubleyou Richard is an extraordinary psychologist and cultural scholar. He is not making 'predictions'. If that is what you hear, you are missing the point of his work. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Tarnas
The year 2020 -- "biological events that have a volcanic intensity" -- watching this from pandemic isolation, I'd love to know what
Tarnas has to say about his comment now, 1 year later.
“What’s happening in the stars right now” on youtube
I have been noticing that the most vivid manifestations of these outer planet transits appear AFTER the transit has perfected. Thank you for mentioning this.
William Medford... Yes, I have also, which is counterintuitive to my previous understanding.
It's an nteresting point. It's almost as if the pins get pulled in the first half of the cycle, and in the second half the grenades go off.
John Baker Have you often or consistently noticed this?
@@514rlfranks I'm new to astrology, so I can't claim to have much experience. But if we interpret the spread of the Covid-19 virus as an expression of the latest Saturn/Pluto conjunction, then it offers an example. The virus apparently "escaped the lab" before the conjunction, but now after the conjunction we are looking at a global pandemic. The grenade is going off, so to speak.
John Baker... take notice of March 2020, especially late March, Mars transitting. Also the full moon on March 9th coinciding with Mercury going direct.
Pluto is a FORCE. Excellent video, thank you!
What an amazing, informative hours. Thank you.
Awesome n inspiring!!
WOW!!! This is just.... SO ACCURATE to say the least. Hindsight is 2020
Consciousness tends to increase the Information Entropy in the physical area within which it is present. Having a species which expresses consciousness on this planet increases the Entropy of our system and reduces the causal stability of space in the area. While we can measure Meaning (or unpredictability) by Entropy, we also measure Quantum Entanglement by Information Entropy, which implies, but does not prove, that an active consciousness may increase the quantum entanglement of space-time. Our presence on this world puts our system in an epicenter or meaning and entanglement unusual when compared to the rest of space-time where consciousness is relatively low.
Really?
@@ariesred777 The few times I’ve posted a little nudge in the right direction, sadly-“really?”- is my best response. The fact that Information Entropy is a measure of meaning is inherent in its very definition. Entropy is the amount of unpredictable or meaningful information in a message. The Rhine Institute did experiments with Random Number Generators demonstrating that human attention could reduce the randomness of the RNGs. Therefore, consciousness makes reality more unpredictable (randomness being mathematically predictable) or more meaningful-increasing Information Entropy. It’s measurable.
@@kimwelch4652 Makes sense to me. Roger Pernrose has a lot to say on these matters.
Kim Welch, why do you capitalize information entropy?.... After reading your comment and trying to understand, with a little research this makes sense.... I think...Still trying to understand though....
So maybe because consciousness is subjective, or with mass consciousness it still involves many different points of view, then there is more information gathered and expressed in different ways, hence the unpredictability in any exact given expression of any given set of data?
2016 was the mark of America getting a look at it's shadow. A much needed dose of reality that most still can't come to terms with.
Sometime in the past prof. Tarnas said he will work to an other book where he want collect all the planet aspect archetype.. someone has news if this book will come to live soon...
Aquarius just the wish, brother
The Precession of The Equinoxes wasn’t mentioned here and is pertinent to the topic, the Precession is the downward arc from a Golden Age to a Dark Age followed by an upward arc to another Golden Age. Where we are in the cycle now is at the start of the upward arc. Pisces/Virgo as symbolized by the Christian symbols of the Fish and the Virgin (which we are still in). Christ had said to look for someone carrying a water pitcher. Acquires, the Water Bearer is next. We are on the second rung of a seven story ladder in terms of evolution. Thanks to Maxwell we have some understanding of magnetism through electromagnetism. At least two more millenniums will have to pass before the human mind is evolved enough to even begin to understand magnetism itself.
Is it a new religion? Or an ancient one?
I a watching this months after Richard presented this. What is the film he references that the group watched the previous evening?
Not a word about the Jupiter-Saturn conjunction of 2020?
He mentions Saturn-Pluto @ 48 mins
Probably because they're not Outer Planets
@@RadiantAstrology "outer" is relative. It just seems to me that modern astrology tends to give greater importance to Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, but tends to forget that Jupiter and Saturn are, by far, the greatest planets in the solar system. It's not because they move faster that they should get less attention.
@@philyria358 Outer means beyond Saturn. I don't know what kind of astrology you are practicing but Jupiter and Saturn are not "by far the greatest planets in the solar system" by any system that I'm aware of. All the planets have their own significance. And depending upon which planet rules a native's chart it will have more significance in one's experience. When the Outer Planets were discovered it shattered the known paradigm of astrology. And yes, in modern astrology there does tend to be an emphasis on the Outer Planets when it comes to the Zeitgeist and the collective consciousness, it's hardly a personal bias by Tarnas. If this bothers you, perhaps you should follow more traditional astrology which doesn't emphasize them as much. They are different systems but one isn't better than the other, they just speak to people differently. Its like saying German is better than Japanese.

At 30': Beethoven, Wagner and Hendrix's without mentioning Neptune? Beethoven and Hendrix have Uranus trine Neptune, and Wagner has a sign-based conjunction!
Musical genius in general comes from Neptune... IMHO Rick has a strong bias towards Pluto and Uranus...
That's a huge overgeneralization about Neptune + music... Tarnas does have Uranus trine Sun, so it's no suprise he's an expert at identifying Uranus!
the first ten are enough

Jeff Epstein----Saturn/Pluto?
Saturn in Capricorn
Yrt Shimsun... Why so?
this guy stutters, ums, and needlessly qualifies and footnotes every statement as he slogs towards his mostly banal points. takes forever to get to his main lecture, and the first 18 minutes are a complete waste of time. He could have condensed so much of this down into a few statements if he cared to prepare his thoughts ahead of time. starts at 18:15
The curse of being deeply analytical, he probably thinks everyone is thinking as deeply as he is. The description of his book C&P was a little disingenuous as well. I only enjoyed the first chapter. Depending how this "prediction" lecture goes, i may pick it up again.
@@masterdoubleyou well, I get you, but I think he is caught up in the pretensions of the ivory towers. He is intelligent and probably has good things to say, but seems too worried about being seen as an intellectual and so has surrendered any real good he might otherwise have been able to produce. Yes, the first chapter was decent. I'm working through his book now, which is how i got here. I should add that he believes in evolutionism and heliocentrism.
thx, u saved me 18min
this guy is so progressive he has no idea what is going on. progressivism makes astrology so stupid. please wake up out of the matrix.
