      I discovered his channel about a week ago and I've made watching at least one of his videos per day as part of my morning routine because of how calming his videos are. His voice, the plants, the editing, music...its all very soothing.

      Absolutely agreed. I watch them all over and over again. I have tried to do my own plant thing - but about 50% of mine pass away. :( I'm not really a plant girl.

    I think pinning a vining plant up on the curved pegboard wall in the kitchen would look really nice! I was so excited to see you uploaded I've been binging your videos and love the atmosphere in them and learning about plants from you 🌱

    Benji!!! We've missed you, so sorry you were sick but are on the mend! Always love watching your videos!!
    Ideas for you could be:
    Entryway- your rudsta vivarium against the wall the aquarium is on and aquarium on top of that. Making use of the light instead of blocking.
    Dining room - media/console tables are a cool idea but so is putting your platycerium wall up where the painting is.
    Hopefully that stirs your creative juices for you?
    Also, the pegboard curved wall in the kitchen??? SO COOL! I'd be hanging so many cool plants from it!!

    It's *so* different to manage a garden vs houseplants. Yes, it's a larger scale. And I've found the lack of control over the environment to be both challenging and humbling. Best to you as you and Chris make that space your own ❤️

    Such a lovely little house ♥️
    Looking forward to seeing you decorate it ♥️ A couple of suggestions to help with the garden:
    1) Draw out your yard so you can visualise the space better, it will help a lot.
    2) Move some of the bamboo over to where the lounge room window is so you can block out the view of the other house with green rather then with a big tv.

    Ugh this house is so gorgeous ❤ two ideas for the kitchen wall: either a big painting or wallpaper or like a vintage bar cupboard with a mirrored back wall 🤔 also I think a big rug would really pull the area together 😍
    Also I think it would be really nice to have a camp fire in the middle of the amphitheater on chill summer evenings 🔥
    Your videos and style is so lovely thanks for taking us along ❤

    So excited for your both (What an amazing place- it has so much potential!!) A couple of words of advise regarding outdoor gardening. 1) Study your lighting as it changes over the next two-three months (that will be a constraint for what you will be able to plant- looks like you are dealing with a lot of dappled light.??) 2) Buy a Sunset Western Garden Book and start to teach yourself outdoor plants and know your particular climate zone (and it's limitations). (You obviously have a knack for this with indoor plants- so it should come naturally for you.) 3) And most importantly feed the soil!! add (good well composted) organic matter at planting and mulch frequently (as the lower layers break down to humus I top dress with free shredded tree trimmings from a local tree trimmer) also "chop and drop" any green waste from your garden and return it to the soil-(nothing goes to the landfill!!!) (you are looking to reestablish the soil microorganisms there which is the foundation of soil fertility.) (Google Elaine Ingham Soil Food Web to learn more) Above all -have fun and don't be afraid to experiment.!!

    Interior designer here 👋 I definitely love the idea of some sort of sideboard in your dining area. You should frame your new blue tapestry and hang it on that wall as well. I like there idea of 4 chairs there for every day if you can store the other 2 for when you have friends over or something. I think a nice bench would work in that area you aren’t sure what to do with - is it a mud room area? The place is coming together so nice, love these updates!

I'm bingig on your videos whenever I want to relax hehehe , definitely put a credenza under the painting at the end of dinning table to anchor the painting :) preferably a credenza with color matching your dining chairs would be so pretty hehehe :)

    I suggest for the wall behind the table, instead of a low style credenza, something taller like a dresser/tallboy or cupboard. Since you have a lot of low furniture. Still a lot of storage and space above for a plant and/or painting.
    If there's not 3 feet of space enough between a piece of furniture and the table. Then definitely a big painting!

    i love the idea of a gallery wall in the dining room! but i think a fun twist would really make it shine. like maybe hunt flea markets and antique stores for vintage towels, rice bags, tapestries etc. like different types of cloth and embroidery to add texture and intrigue. I also feel like cloth things like towels and sacks are very kitchen-y. you could just pin them up or even frame them??

    Hey! In the area where the dining table is, I'd put a vase with a tall plant in the corner, no credenza, yes painting, but to me the one you hung there looks fine already. In the kitchen above the sink you could hang a few pans and tools alternated to some plants of course or plants with runners like pothos or philodendron brazil-like :D that space looks so bright, perfect for plants! :)

  • @ShadowGardenStudio

    hello! you asked what to do with the peg board in your kitchen I think it'd be pretty to put all of your different stag horns across it with maybe a pretty base board that barely reaches the ceiling upside down with a color changing stip LED light inside so you can do yellow tungsten at night.

    Love the red chairs, I think a large painting would look nice on the wall by your table. Could the "amphitheater " area be a fire pit area? Around where I live, most people have fire pit areas and quite often there is rounded bench seats around it, like what you have. That way everyone joining in gets the warmth an view of the fire, given the seating is curved...

    ik you already put them outside but i think the wall plants (i forgot the actual name) would look good on the wall by the dining table. you could arrange it similar to how you did in the apartment but since the wall is a bit smaller i would use less of them and keep a few outside

    • @user-tb3lj3lg9s
      @user-tb3lj3lg9s ปีที่แล้ว

      i think art would look good too but if you do an intricate art wall it might draw attention away from the red chairs and look cluttered. maybe 3-4ish large/medium pieces that go together would be good, as long as it doesn’t distract from the focal point which is the chairs

    For the curved pegboard, is it big enough to put all, or at least a lot, of your platycerium up there and make a new platycerium wall? That could look pretty neat. Or even some of your vining/hanging plants could go up there, and as they hang down they would make like a plant curtain, which could be neat too. ^_^

    Hi Benji- per your dining room id suggest rotating your table so the chairs are perpendicular to the windows and that could free up more space for a credenza. Love the new place!

    • @dle234awesome
      @dle234awesome ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I also thought the same! For me, the credenza is typically parallel with the longer length of the table and having a similar height to the dining table isn’t bad, you can offset the size with smaller frames or artwork above it. Or if you get a lower height credenza, you can balance the height difference with taller and larger pieces of artwork/frame, maybe one big one or two max. Seeing his home gives me so many ideas as a design major 😁
