i am a snowboarder... most of my family skis and i have absolutely nothing against it.. you cant say which is harder or which is more fun.. that's based on personal opinion.. and it really depends how far you take it..
Haha where i live the nearby mountain is 3km away i get to the top(~2000m) in 40min, and the last night it was snowing heavy so tomorow i'l be skiing on similar condituions :P
@SK8RDIE0 I do both, but it's strictly condition dependent: board for pow and fischer wc 193 gs for hardpack - a stupidly heavy/fast ski. In the speed department, skis will always win. And when I ski, I hate all boarders, and when I board, I hate all skiers - just to keep the rivalry going.
i'm very jealous. i get to look forward to skiing down a hill a tenth of the size of your mountain then waiting in line for 20 minutes to ski ice down a run dodging people the whole way down. haha......fun.
@JulchenKCW agreed, but i have done both for 3 years each and i am good at both. I find skiing to be more exciting and the snowboard stereotype of "punk" definitely does not fit my style, so thats why i switched.

120 pounds? You're very light, you wouldn't need really fat ski's. I'm 6'1, 195 pounds and ski on Rossignol B4's, they're the same height as me and about 90mm under foot. They worked perfectly in Whistler in these conditions.
i don't mind good snowboarders, but bad ones piss me off. i hate it when i'm riding the chairlift up and i see a snowboarder facing down the slope and using their board as a plow
I am not extremely good at skiing,nor do i claim to be. I am still learning but i am already starting to enjoy skiing alot more then snowboarding. Screw the arguments i think they need to get skiers and snowboarders to go out and shred together and quit bein punks.

@Mirozenx skiing is lame, nothing can really compair to enjoyment you have on snowboard. plus i find snowboarders are more laid back at times then skiers.....

I cannot imagine living in the mountains it must be amazing. I ski twice a year and they are always my 2 favourite weeks of the year.
