Fatboy Slim lives in Brighton and saw the Push busking this years ago. He filmed them and posted it on his socials which is pretty cool.
Wow, that's so cool! I always wonder if the artists they cover are aware of it. The Big Push covers are always so creative, keeping the original intact but really making it their own.

Yep, and it's a Gorran Kendall original. I adore listening to the amazing re-interpretations the band does of other people's music, but man, The Big Push deserves some serious recognition for their originals.

Yes, they are amazingly tight as a band. But then again,, they lived together (these3 dudes) for years, so... true brothers.
What amazes me is how different they are as musicians, as singers, as songwriters, as personalities, and yet, when they get together - magic happens instantly

Gorran was known as the Bob Dylan guy when he busking by himself. He really is a traveling minstel type if guy. He's been in Spain and France busking since the Big Push split.
I'm not sure I want to say how many times I've re-watched those busking livestreams. ☺
I think the highest I've heard Ren sing is either in the Man's World busk with Sam, or at the end of What Kind of Woman is This with The Big Push. Lowest is probably at the end of Back on 74/Message in a Bottle. Most distortion would be at the end of Crutch.
Gorran is brilliant on the harmonica. On his travels recently an old man heard him playing and gave him a bag of his old harmonicas. So he has quite a selection at the moment! Really suits Gorran's classic, folky sound.
I love that they didn't become a homogenised boyband type group. They all have their own Identity as artists and the band is a collaborative way to just enjoy that together.
I highly recommend "Precious" from the Big Push.

Another couple of good ones w/the Big Push where they each get a moment to shine--in What Kind of Woman is This, Ren shows his range again; & one of my favorite ones (a busking session) Wade in the Water, Nina Simone mashup where Ren plays base and loses himself in the music, and the other shine, also. More harmonica in “Sweet Little Lady” Live version. It’s not in the official video for the song. It’s why I prefer the live, plus it’s a dope one take video.
Fatboy Slim once saw them performing this and liked it so much he recorded it on his phone and posted it on his instagram
Pretty sure it was on his Twitter not insta. I only say that because I know people might go looking for it (as I did last year when I learned about it) and it would save time if people knew what to look for - that said, I’ve only found a news story about it recently as I think his old tweets may have been archived and don’t show up in searches now.

Thank you, Turk, for doing this, I have been waiting patiently for it, I know I requested several times .. It is my favorite by them ,, because of the harmonies and the foot tambourine and harmonica Goran said when they started the band they all agree the harmonies was very important for their sound Yes all three are very talent and very different, but they are magical together and they friends still today and so glad to hear that .. Goran and Ren said there is talk about them getting back together to do something one day so there is hope ... I would love them to do an online gig...

This is one of my favourite Big Push covers, it always makes me smile at cheeky simplicity, yet utter brilliance.

Recommending Tommy Johansson for a listen. He's former guitarist for Sabaton, lead guitarist and singer for Majestica, but a good start is his solo work on his YT channel. And a good song to start with is his most popular to date - She's Gone (Steelheart). Metal singer, but covers everything from Disney to Celine to metal and everything else in between. He uploads a new video almost every Friday, so there are lots to choose from.
