Producer/DJ Ed Solo asked The Big Push to perform a Fatboy Slim tune at his wedding so this is the song they chose. They also performed it on the streets of Brighton and Fatboy Slim happened to walk by, filmed it and shared it on his social media (X).
This one is under their Live videos on their channel, so they aren't lip syncing. Ren has said re Hi Ren, that meant it was a single audio take, but the video was pieced together from various takes. They do an amazing job of editing these, but there are moments where they don't line up exactly.
I was just curious because the tunnel is narrow, so to film the wide shot and those close ups at the same time would be logistically difficult. Perhaps it was different audio takes strung together to match the corresponding video shots though.
Nice reaction dude! Love watching you dissect the big push stuff. Sutch a bunch of talented performers, especially live. Next try bongo bongo for more great harmonies and verse sharing.
Hey Izzy, I’m starting to think you like Gorran more than our Ren!😆 That’s okay. The boys are so talented. In a situation like this I’m guessing they’re filming in the wee hours of the morning. I know that’s when Ren films a lot of his videos. Looking forward to what you’ve got in the works right now! Great reaction. Bad pain day. Send good vibes my way, okay. 🥹❤️🔥✌️
Thanks Abby! I am interested in Gorran's work. Looking forward to checking out more of it. Sending you good vibes aplenty, my friend!! Hope you're doing better!! Thanks for the support!
It was live, one take 4 cameras, similar fasion to Hi Ren, I think it took 6 or 7 takes to get what they wanted. But you can tell I'm from Birmingham (UK) as I can't help thinking the way the wires trail looks like streams of urine that used to pervade many Birmingham underpasses and subways back in the day.
@@IzzyIzenstain if it's filmed like Hi Ren then the audio is the best 'one take' they recorded but the visuals are meticulously stitched together in sync with the live audio they recorded, using all the different takes and the four different cameras
One of my faves by The Big Push. Apparently they were asked by a friend to play this song at his wedding so they came up with this arrangement for it. That's the story I saw floating around the comment sections so here I am perpetuating it. 🙃
The lads voices blend perfectly (almost as good as the Bee Gees) great cover of an iconic song ! Izzy have you seen that Chinchilla has a new song out? I highly recommend you check it out..... It's AMAZING!!!!! Chinchilla - 1 : 5 - Live version....... Great video as always thanks Izzy
Thank's Izzy for your thoughts! Loved this Big Push as well. Don't believe there was any lip synching, They are the LIVE guys! Busking in a corridor for sound I suppose. Whatever, it was great, so much great music from these guys , I hope they get together for one good show at least, sometime in the future when the stars align. 🔥
Somewhere I read the story that Fatboy Slim once heard them performing this song in the streets of Brighton. Must have thought the same thing: awesome! 😉 Thanks for your reaction! ❤
Everything the Big Push did (and hopefully will do) is ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥! Keep checking out their stuff! Their original album, Can Do Will Do, is so damn good too!!! They are one of my favorite bands of ALLLL time. 💔❤️🩹❤️
Ren and co are well known for their choice of simple but effective settings for music, many shot in the early hours of the morning, when there are less people about. The Tales are classic examples of this technique, as was Money Game (one) shot under a pier in Brighton around 3.00 am.
You appear to enjoy Gorran’s contribution. Have you seen ‘Swan Song’? Gorran wrote it (before TBP got together) and their harmony’s are even better than this! It’s effing awesome too. Thanks for your reaction. ❤
One of my favorites that they sing. A photo recently popped up of Gorran and Romain busking a few weekends ago. Romain had a livestream video release and I asked him if there would be any YT video of that busking session. He said there wouldn't, because they just did it for fun.
I guess if everything was filmed, we'd never be able to get through it all! Kind of like that there is still that space of performing and then it is gone. Just for the people there in that moment.
One of Ren's less lauded abilities is to have chums to work with that are so talented, beside him, or behind the camera. They are all amazing! Thanks for this! Keep Reacting!
I think this song blends their sounds and harmonies SO well. Almost perfection, especially considering how different their individual voices are! Much love for this band. Thank you for the reaction. 👏
Gorran's original songs Two Pence Shy and If both have official videos from several years ago and they capture his folk singer vibe beautifully. This is actually one of my favorite Big Push cover songs because of the gorgeous harmonies. If you watch their Swan Song, that's another that was written by Gorran and they adapted it for a very early Big Push video (Gorran is almost unrecognizable.)
I believe this was a challenge posed to them with the reward being a paid gig. Ren did the post production sound, as usual, using the sound from all the takes. Somewhere (Brighton Beach Busking?) there is a street performance of this.

Hi again, its me. The possibly irritating commentor lol. I wanted to learn more about you and your story but apart from your "front man of greatest band ever" description I can't find anything. Am I showing my age and missing a link to your story. Don't worry. Its a genuine interest and no stalker like intentions. I'm so glad that even though you wasn't as impressed with "the tales" as others, that you was still prepared to listen to more of Rens music. Now you have digested a bitmore of his catalogue. What is your honest overall opinion? Always await your reactions of everyone's music with anticipation ❤
Not irritating at all! I appreciate the interest and support. You're not missing anything, and the "greatest frontman" thing is more a statement of intent and of unfinished business. Although, I of course have a past and a story like everyone. I will probably talk about some of that as time goes on. I'm currently putting together something outlining my plans going forward, but I'm still working out exactly what I want to say and how I want to present it. It will probably include a little about myself up until this point. So, look out for that in 2 or 3 weeks time. Thanks for being here!
@IzzyIzenstain well if you ever do a question and answer session I promise to only ask say 20 intrusive (none of my business) questions lol no I would genuinely like to know what music makes you tic , oh and what do you hope to achieve with the channel anyway,I am not easily offended, so if I ask to much tell me to nicely f off and get back in my box lol this is another suggestion th-cam.com/video/EQAUupOFarw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=oGp83JtGDSthLmDR

Yes, please! Gorran wrote that one
This is a must see/hear ❤❤

Love this one so much. Their voices together, omg.
I love how all three of them sing together, and separately. Also switching between smooth harmonies and an edgier raspy sound (?) Thanks Izzy!
Thank you!

Piss goblins lol!
I know those Birmingham underpasses! I'm not sure how they would have had room for 4 cameras in that space, without being seen in the other cameras.

Ren says his favorite places to film are the ones with the most lax security.
Well if not that, there is a mix of different takes here I think.
Lip sync?? 😂
