Todays vehicles have the steering wheel controls on the 9 and 3. I like the 9-3 for two reasons…..1. I can rest the thumb and 2. I can keep all fingers within easy reach of steering wheel controls and if necessary. Use the thumb as an anchor but still stretch other fingers to controls within the reach of steering column……windshield wipers, turn signals and if necessary very momentary removal of one hand..usually left for headlights. All other switches on the outer side of the steering wheel should be already preset to on or off. I am the only driver so I get worn out on long road trips. I alternate between left and right but remove hands occasionally to stretch and get circulation back. Most major systems are controlled by steering wheel. Audio, phone, Cruise and even digital dash system monitoring etc….
Thanks for the tips. I have a road trip coming up in a couple of days…I will try to remember theses tips, especially seating position. I normally sit straight up…..as in Ejection seat straight up and now I realize ther should be a slight recline fir comfort.
