Also. For iPhone click and hold the dexcom app icon. Change the icon to larger widget on Home Screen. You then see a larger iOS app icon that shows the glucose level and trend graph!
On the Android side, you can share data with Samsung Health if you have a Samsung phone. I do that and it's nice to see everything in one place. Also, the Dexcom G7 app has Clarity built into it. I like all of the information that I can see. It definitely helps me make better decisions about my diabetes situation.
Very useful... especially showing us how to get the glucose reading on the lock screen of an iPhone. I've tried several times using the instructions on the Dexcom site and never could get it to work. Showing the actual procedure on camera solved my problem. Thanks.
Evidente la collaborazione Aple e Dexcom😅 Lo uso da poco e mi trovo molto bene anche se alcune cose sono migliorabili (segnalate anche da altri utenti) Intanto grazie per il video, chiaro e utile 🙏
The share feature is good for me as g7 limits to only 2 devices. (iPhone and Apple Watch). Sometimes I want to not wear watch or carry iPhone. So I share to my iPad
You always look so pretty. Thank you for this video. You are so smart to figure all these things out. I have a receiver and don't understand how to do all the things you pointed out. Although I just do the basics, my blood sugars are still better than they've ever been since I've been able to check my sugars so frequently with my CGM. I am so glad I don't have to ration test strips anymore because my insurance wouldn't cover them. The Dexcom G7 is a game changer with my Type 1 Diabetes. Thank you for all your wonderful videos. You're the best!!!
Thank you. And I'm so glad getting a Dexcom has made a difference for you. I’m looking into getting a receiver so I can include that experience in my content. It would be nice to be able to include that
I love your videos. I watvh them all the time. Very informative. In your video you shosed a list of 42 things that can affect your blood sugar in the morning. Where csn i get a copy of ghis list. Thank you
I have another helpful tip for your G7 users, sometimes when you insert a new sensor it may not connect to your receiver, and you may think the sensor is no good, well do this once you attached it to your body get a magnet and put it close to the sensor and it connects rite away, you can use the magnet that is in the applicator too.
Have you noticed the new G7 sensors don’t have a covering on the side where the needle is located? Adhesive is exposed and very sticky. I use it on my abdomen and really afraid it will pull my skin as it’s hard to get off my finger. Any suggestions?
The problem I have with Direct to watch is that it loses the connection often. The to fix it per Dexcom support is to delete the app and then down load it again. This is a real pain. The direct to watch is wonderful when it works.
When choosing a medical supply company, be sure they are in your network approved by your insurance coverage. Mine just recently changed for my 2025 coverage.
Been watching since 2020 I’ve been using the G7 for a year. I’m having an issue with the new G7. The old type had a covering over the adhesive side with the needle. Now they came just adhesive and touching it it is really sticky. I use it on my abdomen and feel this is going to really pull my skin. I’ve never had one fall off from the old one. Do you have any suggestions?
I wouldn’t recommend touching the tape before inserting it. If you have a hard time getting it off (I sometimes do) use baby oil or Uni-Solve glue remover
I use X-Drip as a connect share to get the lock screen readings, and Blose to show them on my Samsung watch. Dexcom is slow to keep up with the latest Android OS I was getting warnings about version 15. (But apparently they did finally add my G52)
Your the only one on the net that i really trust so im giving this a try. Im like you a type 1 and take long acting and fast acting insulin. My problem is 26 units of tresiba handles my overnight sugar but isnt enough for my daytime. (night 120 to 150) daytime goes up but never gets all the way back down and inches back up to around 291and stays there when i try and correct i drop to low. should i be on two types of long acting one for night and one for day ?
I am on my third sensor. I was hammering yesterday while working outside. The sensor stopped working 🤷♂️. Is that common? Now I am one sensor short on my prescription
If it stopped working you can reach out to Dexcom for a replacement (no cost to you). I show how to do that here: th-cam.com/video/XUtEOF510D0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=c2jNqam6Tbd8IMjP
I'm curious with your time using the g7 and what other users and commenters have said about the g7 sensor life. I'm new to g7 and haven't been very impressed outta the last 6 sensors only one made it 10 days for some reason they fail on day 5. Been wearing on upper arm. Haven't fallen off. The sensor just stops working? Dexcom has replaced them and the customer service has been fantastic. Just curious if others are having this issue.
I think I've had about 2 fail flat-out in the last year. Were all the ones that failed from the same shipment? I wonder if you could have received a bad batch
The patients are not of interest to the big corporations. It is not that complicated to build a device that works with both Apple and Android in a safe way, especially with Samsung. It's simple. A matter of money at the expense of the public. This is the truth.😏

Love that Dexcom is working so well for you. And thank you for adding the part about Samsung, I did not include that in the video
You are an amazing diabetic, and you help me and others a lot. Thank you so much for your time. 👍
Great video! I switched to US Med thanks to your endorsement in a previous video. They have been great so far.
Glad you like them!

Great. So glad to hear that
Amazingly useful video with great tips that I had no idea about after using Dexcom for over a year!
Glad it was helpful!

Yay, so happy to hear that

Good Saturday Christel. Love watching your channel every weekend. Hagd
Thank you 😊 And happy Saturday to you too

Thank you so much. The list if from DiaTribe, you can find it here: api.diatribe.org/sites/default/files/2024-05/42factorsposter.png
Thanks for the great info!!

OMG I just followed your wonderful instructs to setup Siri on the locked screen. SO GREAT thank you 🙏🙏
Yay, glad that worked

*I like the twin lamps standing behind you. Can you tell me where I can buy one?*
They're from Amazon. It looks like they have made slight changes to the design, but the overall look is the same: amzn.to/3YDSw9n
Just added the Widget. Thank you
Awesome!

Sooooo yea I have a g7 and I don’t have any of those alerts options and would love to utilize
As far as I know it should be available for everyone. If there’s a glitch with you app it might be worth the time giving Dexcom a call
Thank you

It might now be the right long-acting insulin for you. I ended up not being a fan. Try talking to your doctor about alternatives

Geht das widget nur bei Apple oder gibt es sowas auch fir android Handys?
As far as I know it’s only for Apple
