nice video, I'm a broadcast engineer where i work in a TV and Radio station and i get amazed when people specially the streamers say that condenser mics are better than dynamic mics. which is actually the opposite specially if you have an open space with noises such as AC or fan or even the PC and keyboard clicks
Nice review Caleb. While I don’t have a reason yet to upgrade from my current FiFine K678 I will say that they make some quality products at good prices.
Great review. At 1:10 where you are screwing the mic back into the shock mount, can you give us an idea of what the thread diameter is? Just so we can look at alternatives for mounts.
hey caleb! i know im pretty late to this video but what mic arm is this ive been needing a new mic arm and this one looks nice, id like to hear back from you😁
I’m currently on the Fifine K678 but this makes me really want to upgrade to either this, a HyperX Quadcast or maybe even a Blue yeti! Not sure if upgrading from my current Fifine to this would be worth it though, awesome review as always, thanks for going into so much depth!:)
@@josephcalistro3958 Though these two mics mainly aim at streaming audiecne, they're actually quite different. If your main concern is noises, then go for the K658. Its noise-rejection is in its own league when compared to condenser mic. Both HyperX Quadcast X and S are pretty balanced microphone. So if you care not about the background sound and don't want the warm sound, those two HyperX mics are better suited choices.
@@FIFINE as an amazing company you guys are. You are also very honest and that just shows the work you put into your products. I also want to say thank you for your quality and valued products you guys produce.
well the fifine is best for noise rejection but instead if you have a bigger budget and don't care about bg noise you shold go for the hyperx quadcast x or s
For this kind of issue, it's better to send our after-sales a recording file to confirm the issue. You can get support at web@fifine.cc the after-sales team should help fix the issue.
You say in the video and text description above that it is a condenser mic, but the headline says it is a dynamic mic, which I do think is correct. Can you please verify?
Hi M T, somehow our comment didn't appear on Anzel's video. And we remembered that we have answered your question. But just in case other viewers see your comment and want to know the answer. All the K658 on the market where our official stores running now shall not cause any EMI from itself! Btw, any viewers who got the K658 with EMI buzzing noises can email us at web@fifine.cc Our after-sales support will put it into the first place to help fix the issue.
Thank you so much for doing such a great ASMR review video! Your voice is really comfortable and relaxing. As for the buzzing, it comes from electromagnetic interference, which is generated in a few K658 that use 8-pin MCU. Those ICs light up the RGB with the electricity flows, thus it is more susceptible to interference. We apologize for the quality control issue, but it is indeed a special phenomenon. We will take a more restricted quality control procedure to avoid such an issue.
No. The K658 is designed for gaming or streaming, so it won't pick up a lot of background noise. Please check the keyboard testing part from 6:00 to 6:40.
Dynamic just means it's a microphone that you talk directly into from the front, you can have Dynamic Cardioids or Dynamic Condensers. The only real difference (if you're not using a mixer or interface that supports XLR) is that Condensers have a naturally warmer tone and Cardioids have a cleaner, more midrange tone.
I hate that they had to make that button so big it’s the only reason I didn’t buy it the whole mic itself looks amazing but the big ass button just makes it look goofy truly disappointed

Thanks Jonathan, I agree! I've really enjoyed all the products I have tested from FIFINE so far.
I have a K678 myself and I was looking to upgrade but I may not need too.

Appreciate the kind words! Thanks for watching. I might try to review the quadcast in the near future here.
Lol same what you you recommend this or hyperX quadcast?
But this is a dynamic microphone, the HyperX is different and has others modes to capture your voice.

Thanks a lot for your effort
But it's a dynamic mic
Great review but this is a dynamic mic not condenser
That’s what I was gonna say 😂
What would you prefer, a blue yeti or the fifine k658

I am hearing a ringing noise during my recordings. Like a high pitched one. Any suggestions?

I am using the blue yeti at the moment, but I think I will switch to fifine k658. Do you think is it worth to switch?
Which size of the innogear boom arm is best for the FiFine K658?
Hi jarjam, from the most budget to the most expensive arm stands from the Innogear will work with this mic. Because the thread is standard.
*Surprised with sound quality of this mic 👍*
You might want to twist your mic around, to have the knob and capacitative mute on top.
For easier access.
😆
Yeah :)
Hi, do you know where can I buy shockmount replacement for FIFINE K658?
Brooo Eminem!!!
I have mine on a boom arm alone?
You say in the video and text description above that it is a condenser mic, but the headline says it is a dynamic mic, which I do think is correct. Can you please verify?
Its a Dynamic mic.
Have a nice day :)
What would you recommend dynamic or condenser for a first mic?
depends what you’re using it for
I’d say unless you have a room treated for sound reduction, a dynamic mic is much easier and less expensive to get good quality sound out of.
by the way, you need to say when they send it over for free and you are a affiliate or something.
What is your go to microphone?
The blue yeti
Nice, a classic.
For sure, a Shure!
@@Lilyium Nice!
Even though this is a semi outdated comment.
The go to is the EV (Electro-Voice) RE20 W/ Shure SM7B larger and thicker pop filter.
Im experiencing some hiss noise on this mic when im recording on obs even if i mute the mic im still hearing small hiss

Was the audio test all Raw?
Yeah
In the description you call it a Dynamic microphone and in the video you call it a condenser. Which is it?
Dynamic
Does it fit any mic arm?
With the adapter included in our product, you can attach it to any standard boomarm.
I have this microphone and it doesn't pick up any audio
Did it pick up alot of background noise
No. The K658 is designed for gaming or streaming, so it won't pick up a lot of background noise. Please check the keyboard testing part from 6:00 to 6:40.
Man, what slows you down for creating video?
My business and life :)
@@CalebThornton busy man!
Can you try roccat torch microphone !!
I plan on trying it out as soon as I can!
@@CalebThornton that's will great bro 👍🏻😓
It's a dynamic microphone Bro you not supposed to use it side ways.
Does it work for consoles?
Yes, but only on a PlayStation console.

Yeah 👍

Dynamic.

Lol, there will be one without a huge gain dial launched soon. But that will be less convenient to adjust during the use.
Dynamic mic, not condenser.
Horrible background music ruins the video.
I agree, really makes the whole video pointless honestly.
