That is one of the best bottom brackets made. I always had good results with that bottom bracket.
I used the full send it torque on my old BB's Good to keep learning good practices
😁
Tnkyou this thing help me a lot
Always position the bike with the drive side in front of you - facing the camera
To install a BB? 😂
@@TonyHob I commented before the video completed - then I finished watching the video. I “assumed” 😂 you were going to mount the crank/chainring and the chain so I thought re-positioning the bike would have been better. Good video- informative!
I am going to install BB MT 500 hollowtech II BB and remove the front derailleur to make 1x8 systeam what would be spacers distribution
One on the drive side, two on the nondrive if BB is 68mm, none if 73mm
@@TonyHob, don't you have to consider the chainring position relative to the cassette? Isn't that what the spacers are for?
@MrJx4000 no, it is already taken into consideration. The driveline will be adjusted by the chainring offset (boost vs non boost)
Can you include the link where you buy the spacers from?
They come with the bottom bracket
Usually they are to be tq down to 40nm, most of the time they printed on the outside...

@@TonyHob did I fell asleep?? 😅 it's not uncommon that I do...😂
Hi, is it ok not to install the plastic sleeve in the center of a hollowtech BB? It is getting in the way of my dropper post internal cable so I am thinking not to install it. Thanks in advance.
It's to keep the axle clean so technically you can do without it but the exposed axle will slowly grind away at the cable if it rubs
@@TonyHob that's a good point. Thanks for the input.
