That damned statue chase from the original RE4 on Professional difficulty. I was repeating that button mash segment so many times that I couldn't use my thumb for a whole day afterwards.
they forgot to include EVERY flying mission in the game. it ruined it for me. i genuinely couldn't get past all of those flying missions, the controls are horrendous.
I don't understand the hate with Demolition Man in VC. The game tells you the timer doesn't start until you pick up the first bomb. You can just go in and wipe out all the enemies and you'll have no trouble afterward.
Right, and you can kill the enemies with the blades even if you don't do that before hand while you're dropping off the bombs. There were way harder missions in old school GTA games than this one...
the train mission is literally the easiest of the harder missions on san andreas, most of the flying missions are horrible, especially zero's last mission
Zeros last mission is the easiest rc mission in the game wrong side of the tracks depends on luck i sometimes completed it real quick sometimes it takes a while since big smokes aim sucks
The San Andreas flying missions are what stopped me from completing the game. Not even Zero's missions, I somehow managed to muscle through that... but the ones with the real plane. Somehow I just could not get the hang of it despite generally not having issues in other games with flying.
Wanna know something that will change that mission forever? At the start go to the bike spawn that is nearby (just down the road) and jump on that, will make dodging the police easier and is much quicker than the car you get. Look up speedruns of Vice City and San Andreas and notice how easy they make missions that were notoriously difficult when we were kids without breaking the game
In Vice City use the RC chopper's rotors to take out all the enimies before you pick up the first explosive. The work from the top down and it's much easier. I got it on the first try with plenty of time left.
Playing Sonic 3 Carnival Zone as a kid pissed me off so bad during my 5th grade year. Luckily I had a friend that came over to my house and he showed me how to pass the Barrel of Doom, and my mind was blown away realizing you only had to press ⬆️ ⬇️ on the D-pad 😒🤣
Me and my dad and sister were playing Batman Arkham Asylum once, and we got stuck on the section where we had to spray explosive spray on two walls to save a professor without Joker's henchman seeing. Every time we tried, they either saw us or we only sprayed one wall
The spiked pillars from The Path of Hades in the original God of War had me in the verge of smashing my controller every single time. The only reason I finally got through it both times I've played it was having the mindset of "do it until I get frustrated".
I think the breath of fire 3 in the desert part deserves a spot here. With no access to google before for guides, you can easily get lost if you dont know where youre suppose to go.

I would love to nominate the fight with Zero in Drakengard 3, I swear it's literally one of the hardest fights I've ever done, the game is a hack and slash but the final fight Zero is a rhythm game and it's such a left curve ball, it's a 7 minute song and if you miss just one note you have to restart the entire song, and to add insult to injury if you do manage to beat her, in the credits there's a hidden note that you'll miss and fail and have to restart, you can only find the hidden note in the dialog, such a troll move

A game that comes to my mind that I almost got stuck on and was working on it for about 1-2 hours is Elemental Gimmick Gear for the Dreamcast. There is this section where you have to push a button and race to the end before the 5 doors close. A huge difficulty spike in the game. I was almost gave up, but I somehow got lucky and pressed the directional pad just right to get to the end. I would say with a little bit of luck. Of the games you listed I played GTA Vice City, FFX, Sonic 3, God Of War, and Zelda OOT. I have got past them all, but they were tough. With Zelda OOT I stopped playing that at the time it came out. Then I decided to continue it about 15 years later and beat it with a guide of course. With God of War I remember that part and almost gave up, but I was persistant and beat it.
So many good but very difficult games. I agree Demolition Man Vice City is extremely difficult. Asassins Creed,Matador,Ninja,Turtles,Dark Souls,Silent Hill 3,Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. So glad that sonics carnival night zone is on the list. Was a happy day for me as a kid when I read a readers letter in sonic the comic about not being able to do it either and the reply explained it. I finished the comic amd went straight on the game and breezed through it
10:20 Ah, Super Empire Strikes Back.... The game where the final approach to the last ATAT is somehow EASIER on Jedi difficulty than the difficulty previous to it. 11:20 That TMNT level wasn't so bad once you got the timing down. The only REAL problem I had with the game was the final(?) stage inside the Technodrome. The pause screen suggests that it's the final section before the boss, but the enemies spawning in and the fact that it's on a VERY narrow path in the vertical sense always did me in.
I bought the _Mega Man Anniversary Collection,_ which let me play the first eight _Mega Man_ games as many times as I wanted. Because of the Yellow Devil, I only played the first game to completion _once._
No I never gotten stuck at a certain part in a game for a long time and raging the most on the PS3 or on the PS4 or on the switch like Blighttown Dark Souls
See here's the thing. Even as a kid, while the Water Temple in OoT was frustrating and confusing, it was a big factor in learning to think smartly and analytically and problem solve. Once I figured it out, man did it feel rewarding. It's one of those things that separate smart people from not-that-smart people. Smart people don't have a strong negative reaction to something that requires them to use their head! And I gotta shout out TheMexicanRunner again for beating the Battletoads turbo tunnel blindfolded and on the first try at ESA a few years ago! :D
Regarding the parts that require thinking, I feel like this is the case for a couple items on the list. Sure, the Battletoads level, Super Star Wars or the Kratos spike column thing are things you have to still struggle through again, even if you've done them 100 times. But stuff like the Water Temple, Shakespeare puzzle and Sonic 3's barrel are NOT like that because you know much more the next time you play the game. There still might be frustration, but you should be a lot less confused now, especially since the internet is around now if you get stuck.
So the reason why the towers of spikes in God of War is so frustratingly hard is because the developers didn't really think the game was going to be a hit, so they didn't properly test that level in the beta-stage. That was one of my favorite games, however I refuse to play it again because of that level. It took me over two hours just to beat it.
I was hoping Toejam and Earl on Funkatron would be on here as well. The level that has all the different tunnels in order to exit.. and it keeps warping you around and around until you find the right combination.
Steel Battalion- if you don't eject in time or don't have enough money to buy another mech when yours is destroyed, the game deletes itself and you have to start over from the first level
There is one thing you failed to mention with regards to Deus Ex: Human Revolution. That being the bosses were excluded from the achievement for a pacifist run. It even says so on the achievement.
I've got a pair of co-workers who are constantly talking about recent release Black Myth. They joke that it's not a 'souls-type' game, because it's way harder!
I'd like to tell you that these encounters taught me extreme resilience but in reality all I got was a number of broken controllers and a nervous disposition 😂😂😂
nah Pokemon stadium 2 is extremely hard. Theres a coup that you literally have to take a random group of pokemon and hope for the best. Cynthia from diamond is also a crazy battle
Wild hearts - Possible all or specific monsters had a very short cooldown between each attack Destiny 2 - Emperor calus bossfight, you have him shooting at you while enemies keep coming and one specific enemy took a while to actually kill it (and more than one of this enemy was probably able to exist at the same time), and this enemy had a thing where it's attacks could probably disable almost all of your abilities (jump, double jump, triple jump, special skills, maybe even you ultimate skill (not sure)) and you're fighting in a place where you can fall and die, and you have to restart the fight. In his second phase, he goes melee, possibly less space for you to run around, enemies still spawning in, and he's now running at you, not letting you to actually have enough time to turn and attack him. I managed to survive it because i was using a sub class that allows me to go invisible for a little moment so he'll stop for a moment because he could not see me. However, this might be different if you're possibly playing with another player, or you're better than me at the game.
That remote control helicopter in GTA made it so that I couldn’t complete the game because it was a main story mission. Water temple was frustrating but could be figured out given enough time. The same cannot be said about the hover bike level in battle toads. If you couldn’t develop the necessary skills and don’t have the reflexes that was impossible 😵
I think you can do 100+ of these moments. :) My own rage moments are Yunalesca FF10, Seymour Flux FF10, Yellow Devil from Mega Man, Water level in ninja turtles, first encounter with Barthandelus FF13, and Garuda FF3.
Everyone hates blight town from DS1 and says it’s the word stage… but I found tomb of the giants to be infinitely worse… I really don’t mind blight town.
I remember going to a cyber café to play Vice City almost 20 years ago, I managed to get to the RC demolition mission after some time but was never able to complete the damn mission.
Sonic Mania - Reversed Special Stages. Thought getting the Chaos Emeralds were hard the first time, try getting them with Levels Reversed. Especially if you're trying find all The Giant Rings & get The Emeralds on one try.
6:26 didn't anyone know about the "pause" glitch? everytime you shoot the lightning at the yellow devil's eye, you pause the game contantly, each time you un-pause counts as a hit, you drain it's health in 2-3 shots. well it worked in the original NES release
Impossible section: kings quest 5! The winged people cliff puzzle. You will not be able to finish the puzzle because its written in an iconographic style. Where's the primer you might ask? In the original games pamphlet which came when you bought the gane. WO it you can't finish the game. I waited 10 years until cheat codes became available online in the 2000s to finish the game.
Most fun when playing on professional difficulty 💀 Though I had a hard time with the shed part on professional difficulty. You can't let the zombies get too close or you die, but can't either leave Louise too long alone because than HE would die and take you with him 🪦
I can still recall that difficulty spike in God of War and my frustration to get pass it . SONY Santa Monica should definitely do a remake for the PS5😊
Ah yes, the dam level and the spikes in god of, turbo tunnel, and FREAKING WHITNEY!!! I have become very familiar with all these (despite only having played pokemon) because they've been featured in so many videos 😂
Seymour Flux! The one thing that spoils an otherwise perfect game. Last time I played I thought I should level up a bit so I decided to grind for a few hours. Ended up being so overpowered that I beat him 2nd time round 😂
The one room where the small key can be accessed after raising the water. The one key lead people to believe (and possibly this channel) to believe that players can prevent themselves from beating this temple.
it's because people didn't use any common sense when they looked at the layout of the temple. At most you raise the water level a full 2 times to beat it. If you do it in the order that the layout hands you in the N64 version.
I was a victim of "barrel of doom" in Sonic 3&K. I eventually had to figure it out by pressing down and up along with the motion the barrel was moving. Edit: Another thing about the yellow devil in Mega Man is this, they brought him back in Mega Man X5. This time, it's black, and if god forbid you were to fight him as no armor X, the damage he does is ridiculous. Zero also has a hard time with him because since his weakness is electricity, Zero's only electric attack is the Denjin blade move, and that puts you at risk of touching him, which causes damage.
My personal experience: Mafia, Race level: That was soooo painful. I eventually beat it but I had a few friends that gave up on the game at that point. Final Fantasy 3/6 Cyan's dream dungeon: My 1st playthrough of the game came to an end because I got there without Life 3. and since you can't leave, I couldn't grind to get it. That was when I learned to make multiple saves in a Final Fantasy game
I never understand why demolition man is always on this list. I worked it out back 2002 that you can kill the guards with the helicopter blades. Plus the stairwell is open you can just fly up. It’s nowhere near as hard as it’s made out to be.
My first playthrough I couldn't figure out how to beat Seymour Flux in FFX. I ordered a strategy guide. But by the time I got it I had beaten him lol . He's hard af!
Now that I'm older, if I get stuck for a bit, I'm looking it up SO FAST. Especially some puzzles. I ain't got time to figure out your convoluted, grueling, unrewarding puzzle.
*Dishonorable Mentions: -Xiang Liang, General of Man - Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty -He's unrelentingly aggressive, DEMANDS PERFECT deflection timing, and your AI companion is practically useless since he hardly ever attacks the boss to draw his aggro. And as of that wasn't bad enough, he has the nerve, guts, gall, and balls of solid anti-matter diamond to enter a second phase when his HP runs out where he transforms into a monster. Now, with all that I just said, you'd think this would be a boss where you'd fight mid to late game. Well, here's the problem with Zhang Liang... HE'S THE GAME'S FIRST MAIN BOSS! This is in the tutorial level too! At this point, you DON'T have a lot of options or heals. So before you can even get into the thick of the game, you gotta deal with this crap. *Silver's Ball Puzzle - Sonic The Hedgehog (2006) -I was stuck on this part FOR MONTHS and it's the bane of anyone's existence when playing through Silver's story. You need to push a ball into a hole in order to open a door. Simple, right? YOU F-ING WISH!
Two boss fights from two different games that everyone else whines and complains about. Everyone but me. I smashed them: 1. Seymour Flux - shoutouts from this video. Lol, you had kimahri to flare?? That is...huh? I was nowhere near that sphere grid point and I destroyed them. I mean, you guys know sitting on full overdrives/Aeon ODs BEFORE entering the nasty fight is a thing, right? 2. Ultra Necrozma (Pokemon ultra sun/moon) - a lot of the same thing. I beat him first try. Everyone else whines about it.

For me, it actually wasn't until Sonic Shorts Volume 6 came out before I got past that stage.
Sometimes, these game developers forget that games are supposed to be fun, and not endless stress
I think 1, or 2 should’ve been the original Super Mario Bros the final castle.
Battletoads should have been number 1.....damn speeder bikes.
I was hoping Toejam and Earl on Funkatron would be on here as well. The level that has all the different tunnels in order to exit.. and it keeps warping you around and around until you find the right combination.
Ocarina of time, 1998. 26 years ago. Never thought that you can scoop fire with a glass bottle and save it!!!!
Steel Battalion- if you don't eject in time or don't have enough money to buy another mech when yours is destroyed, the game deletes itself and you have to start over from the first level
Are you serious? That's insane!
I raged at the spider area in the oracle from Skylanders: Giants whilst i was playing with my siblings long time ago
Thunderblight Ganon caused me to swtich off BOTW for months until I finally had the patience to gear up and prepare properly
nah Pokemon stadium 2 is extremely hard. Theres a coup that you literally have to take a random group of pokemon and hope for the best. Cynthia from diamond is also a crazy battle
Wild hearts - Possible all or specific monsters had a very short cooldown between each attack
Destiny 2 - Emperor calus bossfight, you have him shooting at you while enemies keep coming and one specific enemy took a while to actually kill it (and more than one of this enemy was probably able to exist at the same time), and this enemy had a thing where it's attacks could probably disable almost all of your abilities (jump, double jump, triple jump, special skills, maybe even you ultimate skill (not sure)) and you're fighting in a place where you can fall and die, and you have to restart the fight.
The living cave-Devil May Cry
Chemical Plant Zone- Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Security Hall-Sonic Adventure 2
Good list thanks guys 🎮 👏👏👏 tutorial on driver was one of the first levels that i got stuck on but i did it eventually it took me weeks
Everyone hates blight town from DS1 and says it’s the word stage… but I found tomb of the giants to be infinitely worse… I really don’t mind blight town.
Top 20 Legends of Zelda Lands
Seymour,FFX: More frustrating than the fight itself was to watch the cutscenes again... and again... and again
I remember going to a cyber café to play Vice City almost 20 years ago, I managed to get to the RC demolition mission after some time but was never able to complete the damn mission.
Speed running starfox adventure within a days limit as a kid is what assured me that I was ready to be a gamer for life. 😂
Sonic Mania - Reversed Special Stages. Thought getting the Chaos Emeralds were hard the first time, try getting them with Levels Reversed. Especially if you're trying find all The Giant Rings & get The Emeralds on one try.
Yes, the Sonic barrels were bloody infuriating, I gave up and never finished the game
I think The Tumb of the Giants in DS1 is even worse than Blighttown, it's too dark, the enemies are very tough and you can fall anytime from a cliff
6:26 didn't anyone know about the "pause" glitch? everytime you shoot the lightning at the yellow devil's eye, you pause the game contantly, each time you un-pause counts as a hit, you drain it's health in 2-3 shots. well it worked in the original NES release
Yeah i actually had a hard time passing the spinning cylinder like platform in carnival night zone
Seriously. F the Water Temple.
The cage in the OG Resident Evil 4
Most fun when playing on professional difficulty 💀
Though I had a hard time with the shed part on professional difficulty. You can't let the zombies get too close or you die, but can't either leave Louise too long alone because than HE would die and take you with him 🪦
I can still recall that difficulty spike in God of War and my frustration to get pass it . SONY Santa Monica should definitely do a remake for the PS5😊
I’m surprised that Chicago in Perfect Dark didn’t make it. It made me quit playing the game.
Ah yes, the dam level and the spikes in god of, turbo tunnel, and FREAKING WHITNEY!!! I have become very familiar with all these (despite only having played pokemon) because they've been featured in so many videos 😂
The Consort Radahn boss fight broke me 😭
6:17 I agree I definitely got stuck in that one for like a week
I'm about to fight Whitney right now....
Seymour Flux! The one thing that spoils an otherwise perfect game. Last time I played I thought I should level up a bit so I decided to grind for a few hours. Ended up being so overpowered that I beat him 2nd time round 😂
I never got stuck in the Water Temple in OOT. Do not understand why people found it so hard. 😂
For someone like me it's a poor sense of direction. I got lost sooooo easy. It took me forever to beat it.
Same!! 😂
The one room where the small key can be accessed after raising the water. The one key lead people to believe (and possibly this channel) to believe that players can prevent themselves from beating this temple.
@@ghost245353 you see the thing rise, why wouldn't you instinctively check underneath?
it's because people didn't use any common sense when they looked at the layout of the temple.
My personal experience:
Mafia, Race level: That was soooo painful.
Okay WatchMojo, you've gotten enough mileage out of the TMNT dam and the Battletoads tunnel - I've seen these in videos over and over again!
C'mon, first fight with Pyramid Head in Silent Hill 2 had me calling the Konami hint hotline
14:45
"All we had to do was follow that damn train, CJ!"
Gamers:"All you had to do is just to shoot properly, idiot!"
Splot! Scene 1, in Sega Saturn's, Bug. The bubble section!
I've played ocarina of time countless times and yet, i still need the damn guide for the water temple
*Dishonorable Mentions:
-Xiang Liang, General of Man - Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty
-He's unrelentingly aggressive, DEMANDS PERFECT deflection timing, and your AI companion is practically useless since he hardly ever attacks the boss to draw his aggro.
*Silver's Ball Puzzle - Sonic The Hedgehog (2006)
-I was stuck on this part FOR MONTHS and it's the bane of anyone's existence when playing through Silver's story. You need to push a ball into a hole in order to open a door. Simple, right? YOU F-ING WISH!
Spiked columns in GoW was nightmare for me
The building was a nightmare but i cleared. Seymour was so unfair! He stacks you with debuffs, silences, sleeps and stuns. Broken.
About to watch the list, but I’m 100% sure Ocarina is somewhere down this list
Two boss fights from two different games that everyone else whines and complains about. Everyone but me. I smashed them:
