Nice bro....I never knew there was drums...I just saw disc brakes. My e brake goes down pretty far. Going to finally fix it this weekend. Thanks alot👍👍👍
A lot of parking brake assemblies at basically a miniature “Drum Assembly”. Basically a smaller version of drum brakes before rear discs became so popular and common. Another type for some modern Fords is the parking brake cable is connected to a lever on the bottom of the caliper. Does the same thing when the pedal is applied the lever applies inward force on the brake pads to catch rotor. For the most part the parking brake assembly should last quite a while unless you live on a very hilly area, drive with parking brake dragging or have a very cheap set of improperly installed parking brake shoes and hardware. The shoes and hardware themselves can last quote a while. The item that can go more Common of the parking brake cable can develop slack in the cable from the years of constantly engaging and disengaging the parking brake. The cable usually has a adjuster like the brake shoes but eventually the tension in the cable is maxed out and can only stretch so far.
I didn’t realize the parking brake assembly is on the very top of these Infiniti’s. Do you know if the parking brake assembly is on the same spot for a 2015 2019 Q70L?
Thanks for the video... The service manual says to turn until the rotor is locked then turn back 5 or 6 clicks.
Good job! However, it’s recommended to check if the brake shoes behind the rotors are worn out as they also will need replacing at some time.
Thanks Alex! You're the man! Saved me work.
Helped me a lot. Same construction on the Infiniti FX

Do you do this with the parking brake on or off?
Are both rear wheel in air?
Thank you great video!

Does it adjust on the other side (rear passenger side) as well? or is it only the rear driver side.
Should do both sides.
@@ahmedloai9549 Of course!

Do we need to do both sides evenly?
yea, the adjustment is separate
@@ProjectPanda13 thanks broham!!
Message me on IG if you have questions on it. I had to do it when I installed my rear rotors
Is your car manual or automatic?
