The neverfull is superior in quality to any other tote. It is indestructible. I’ve had mine since 2012, worn it in the summer, in the snowy winter, on travels, for work…and it still looks brand new. Carries a ton, looks good stuffed as well as empty. It’s what started my love for LV. It will always have a special place in my heart.

I had been looking for an alternative to the LV Neverfull for years when last spring when Gucci released the Ophidia Medium Tote. I called Gucci immediately and ordered it. My treat for surviving lock down. I love the bag. It is not only gorgeous and functional, it is well made. It’s finally gaining popularity. As always Isabelle, a fun and informative video.
I’m also interested in the comparison. I can’t imagine travelling without a zip, and I’d like to see what fits.

Yes please, would love to see the comparison video on the zipped version vs non-zipped version of the FLP tote 🙏 I am not a fan of the Neverfull and the FLP looks like a good alternative. It’s a shame this tote doesn’t have any external pocket though ☹️ I feel a bit ripped off when large bags (especially expensive ones) don’t have external pocket for at least a phone and travel card!

I have the YSL tote in black. Love that it is light weight and doesn’t scream logo. However inside is a black hole. Had to buy a purse organizer to find anything inside the bag
I’ve been looking at the Saint Laurent tote as well. How does it hold up to carrying a laptop? It seems like a softer leather which is nice .
Yes, yes, yes...absolutely please do a comparison of the FLP zip and FLP tote. I have been interested in this bag for awhile and thought about getting it as a summer bag. And also a comparison of what each can carry without too much weight. I understand the FLP zip only comes in the 32 for now but I would like to know if that will work for me. Great alternatives! I am probably the only person not fond of the Neverfull, I find the straps too short and uncomfortable. I love your Fauré Le Page bags they are gorgeous! I have been tempted to order one but I rarely wear totes. Your Ferragamo is beautiful too! xoxo
Haha, Love, you can bet you are not the only one 😂! I despise this bag so much, and usually, I don't have such strong feelings about bags that aren't up my alley; usually I'm just like, "Meh, not interested."
But I think it is a little bit because the Neverfull is the one bag (maybe besides the Speedy) that has been shoved down our throats so often and so much that it intensified these strong feelings about it. I don't know 🤷🏻♀️😊.

The Geek is Chic convinced me to buy the Celine Cabas tote and she was so right!! I own about 10 totes including the Neverfull, Mulberry and YSL and the Celine is by far my favorite! It is understated with the most beautiful leather. It’s structured but still supple and very hard wearing. Love it!
So glad you brought up the Gucci tote. The strap drop is just a little longer so i think it’s more comfortable. Plus it’s cheaper 😀.
Great video and some really good alternatives! I love the YSL and Gucci alternatives - but I’m really pleased you included the Mulberry Bayswater tote - that is a fantastic bag and such a classy alternative. I have it in a beautiful clay colour with an ox-blood microfibre lining - so they do not all have just the interior leather lining now. They also now come with a detachable pouch. I’ve had many Mulberry bags for years now in a variety of leathers and they have all been very good quality 🥰
I love your suggestions. You have given examples of totes that others haven’t and that’s appreciated. I own the Gucci Ophidia tote and it’s beautiful and well made, I’m glad it made your list. The 2nd tote you showed is the first I’ve heard of the brand but it’s amazing and now , thanks to you, Im going to look into the brand especially the daily battle tote 😍. I just purchased the gancini tote from Salvatore Ferragamo (one of my ultimate favorite brands)! It was on sale on farfetch, although it's no longer on sale. I'm so excited to receive the red pouch as well. Thank you for reviewing the gancini tote; I don't see any of video reviews about it!
Such great alternatives to the lv neverfull, I've had the mulberry Bayswater for 6 years now. It looks classy for conferences but you can also carry it to work on a daily. It tends to be a bit stiff and heavy though. But even so, I still love it💕💕
I loooove the Mulberry tote, I may end up giving in haha so elegant and understated. Being stiff can be a good thing too, as the bag won’t flop😅 thanks for sharing ur experience with the bayswater Alexa xx

I do t really use totes either so I got a Tory Burch one also last year. I still havent used it🤔. TB shoes are great! Most are very comfy as well as beautiful!

I’m currently looking at the Liberty London totes as an alternate to the neverfull. They are much less expensive and go on sale occasionally.
I personally dislike the Neverfull. I have the GM in DE and the straps are too thin and short IMO. It makes it unusable for me. Thanks for the options!

Mulberry Bayswater Tote I used and abused, It is my work bag, travel carry-on and shopping tote and looks like new. So durable, so classy and luxurious. Goes with every outfit pretty much.

I have that exact Gucci Ophidia tote. Since the canvas on it is more pliable than the LV Neverfull, I would recommend to anyone buying it that they get an organizer. It helps the bag keep it’s shape.
The Ferragamo would be my fave. Close second is the FLP with zip. Not sure about the Alaia ones... Very pretty but they may have structural issues if it's used daily to carry a tonne of stuff 💕

I own the Goyard Artois tote in the MM size. Reinforced leather corners, structured bottom, zipper on top. I love it.
(The Goyard St. Louis tote is actually meant to be a beach bag, so it is a little flimsy. The Artois can handle heavier objects.)
I can’t believe people spend this on bags. It blows my mind. But still here to watch and learn

Love St. Laurent! I have several bags and the quality of the leather is awesome! I’ve considered the tote but I’ve heard it loses structure pretty badly.
What great alternatives .Neverfull never excited me, but I do like some of these alternatives. Right now I am using a Cuyana tote, which is also a great quality leather.
PLEASE do a zip vs and non-zip tote! I can not decide. I so wish we had a boutique near us in th US. but I am sold on it.
I have the Neverfull in MM and PM - sold them both. I missed the PM every now and then but didn’t even wear the MM. I now have Bayswater Tote in Oak and it’s beautiful. A bit on heavier side once you start having laptop and work gear in it. I may consider repurchase NF PM DE if I can find one pre-loved in great condition. It’s great for a toss-everything-and-go kind of bag without being too big.

Great alternatives! I purchased the Saint Laurent tote last year thinking I was going to travel 😂 but I’m finally taking her on her first flight tomorrow. I love the Gucci tote but I don’t want to over do it on totes since I only use them while traveling.
I have the mulberry tote with pebbled leather for work. It's gorgeous, luxurious, and has great wear and tear.

I really enjoyed this. They are all beautiful totes. However, when I am after a casual every day tote that is going to get heavy wear and take a beating, there is no way I will pay over $1000 for one. I like to go for contemporary brands instead and spend the serious money on going out bags that don’t get heavy use and will last for decades. My favourite brands for totes are Oroton, Aspinal Of London (they can be expensive but they have fantastic member sales at least twice a year), Longchamp and Everlane. Everlane, unfortunately, don’t make the totes I like anymore, which is very inconvenient of them.

I like the longer Saint Laurent shopping bag, will be putting it on my wishlist. Oh by the way, would you consider doing a video to recommend some starter luxury jewellery pieces? I usually only wear a necklace on normal days, but some occasions I would like to wear more jewellery and that's when I feel like my jewellery pieces don't really seem to match each other. I want a Neverfulk but the lack of zipper bothers me. Right now I am still using a custom made calf tote by local artisan. It's been 12years and still in very good condition. So right now I dont want Neverfull which is canvas anymore 😅
The Gucci tote also comes in black leather! But only available in the US. I have both the canvas and leather and love them both so much!

For the daily battle, have you ever experienced the adjustable strap to flip outwards over time? I’ve see that happen and it’s one of the main reasons I’ve held off on getting that bag...but I still love the print and how it’s more understated!

Today while at the nail salon, (on a slow day for them) I saw THREE Neverfull totes, all in Damier Ebene. I thought well, yeah, no, that’s why I want nothing to do with that bag.

Great content. I have always thought the Neverfull strap is too thin. I wish I can upload my Loewe canvas tote bag (40cm) that i bought in 2010 or 2011, to show you. I bought it to save S$200 but no regrets. 😆
None of these look as nice or classic as the NF IMO! People always complain about seeing the neverfull everywhere but I don’t mind it. (I would also disagree, I’ve only seen the bag in the wild once in awhile)

@xLOVEMimi I agree, I had the same feelings before bec everybody say it's over saturated and its loud, I did saw a few around here but not as many as they say in youtube.I just had my Neverfull MM in DE, I realized how light/durable they are than full on leather and this tote will never go out of style. I did think of alternatives as I consider variety but nope I'm getting another LV Neverfull in GM monogram next!

Pls do the comparison on both FLP bags. Purchased a neverfull in 2007 only for USD 680 something dollars crazy how much it cost nowadays. My recommendation for the alternative is the Mansur Gavriel tote
