You weren't kidding! I feel proud for Band Maid because they are women who have taken control of their own lives. The song could be aimed at their own record label among others who have "hurt" them along their journey. They are so going to rock the concert scene when we've broken out of this mess.

They're incredible. They bring it so hard here, I think the only song of theirs that starts out heavier is "Rinne." I love everyone's part here, and I think that's what BAND-MAID does better than anyone else is making sure that everyone is absolutely essential and everyone stands out in a distinctive way, but everyone's part comes together to make this incredible cohesive song that gels perfectly and kicks ass. Love love LOVE this band.

My girl Kanami shredding with flames behind her. My favorite band with Nightwish. Nemophila also. This whole album is incredible. Chemical reaction is incredible. HGK is a Kanami shredfest. Kanami put out a nice video promoting the album. She said how sad it is they can’t perform in front of crowds. And they continue to write music, make videos, hold virtual shows.

These LADIES are Volcanic! Can you imagine a stage show where they have Kanami on top of a car (lasers not on fire) burning while she plays? AC\DC, Kiss and Judas Priest come to mind with that kind of staging.

This is a face melting, speed racing, badass playing, skull blasting song! Oh, yeaaaaaaaaaah!
With 'Warning' as the opening track of the album, it sets a clear exclamation mark right away! From 0 to 100 in under a second, the foot permanently on the gas pedal without making any effort to step on the brakes. And the MV fits in perfectly with the whole thing. Some really excellent scenes and shots.
And as if being outstanding musicians isn't already enough, they can now call themselves 'stunt women'. If that's not a big step towards 'World Domination' or the 'Unseen World', I don't know what is.
Musically, I have the impression that they have grown even closer together than they already were. Everything seems a bit more grown up. I don't know how to put it, but I like the result.

Gotta love the 70's style car chase mixed with the Mad Max vibe with them strapped to cars, and the burning wreckage at the end! Truly a high-octane video for a truly high-octane song! That was a strong pendulum swing in the opposite direction from Manners! Just in the overall vibe. Manners was all positive and uplifting. Whereas, Warning is "we're gonna just kick your ass, you're gonna like it, and you're gonna like liking it!"

On a personal level, it seems a declaration of independence. And -
Notice the two cars doing demolition derby are older American and British luxury cars, a Caddy and a Jag.
A Japanese commenter said he thinks there is a warning to US and UK music industries in there: Rock and Roll is being badly served by recording companies in its homelands, and those big corporations are self-destructing as a result. Meanwhile, Japan is coming on strong.
So the old models of fatcat recording company methods (including the present avoidance of rockers for their own agenda) are ending, and newer models with more artist independence are coming out of it. (Saiki departs the Caddy.)
More varied vehicle types were used for what the ladies were riding on top of...
And BTW, the explosion and fire were not CG, that was real and actually behind them. Saiki said they felt it.
So kudos to the stunt folks for making it spectacular without making the car panels into shrapnel!

I truly think that Miku and Kanami are just trolling us sometimes when they do cutesy things or add a "music-box" like intro. The Rock/Metal community can be kind of elitist and stuck up some times. "They are not wearing zombie masks and screaming into the mike, so it is not hardcore." I am glad that these women are making the impact that they are and shaking up the industry.
Great reaction Jen! Their new label Pony Canyon is doing a great job marketing the band. Spending more than a few Yen on this clip. It wasnt a pleasant shoot though for The Maids. It was a cold December day and night and wearing Maid outfits doesnt provide much insulation. Lot of set up with rigging etc taking time with retakes. You can see Saiki in the rear seat. Demister working with condensation. Her cold breath in another frame outside. Mentioned in an interview the fire and explosion only provided brief respite. Band Maid have always made interesting clips for their main singles. Perfect way to market the band. It's a great frenetic song and they played it so well in the live performance last Thursday,Feb 11th.

This song by them made me happy, and it is a good indication that they will keep on releasing good albums with their new label. It would be fun to see your reaction to their song "Different", which they made as a song for the anime "Log Horizon". As you reacted to "Secret Maiko Lips" I think "Gion-cho" will be up your alley too. "Wonderland" is a good song for experience how good Saiki is vocally, as you know how good the others in the band are with their instruments after seeing Onset.
