I got the kodiak XL, which is amazing, in the same spot, but all the other spots got different weapons but all the weapons are better than regular weapons

This game keeps you moving it feels like there is no time to explore I'm sure I saw a second gun store while scouting but now I can't find it. Edit: I seem to have gotten my base at Mikes concrete to be self-sufficient just over 5k influence can't move to the barricaded mall until I find another survivor with computer skills or a blank skill spot.
Yes, if you start the first part of "My Aunt, the Prepper" quest chain you'll usually find a combat knife in one of the containers that the quest want you to search. Personally I prefer the screwdriver though, I love screwing Zambies...........non sexually of course.

I don't think it matters but there's really no way to test/know for sure. I always search fast though and I seem to get some pretty nice loot from them.

Where you find MonoGear Axe or BattleSwords .. for me only cheap stuff ..... On the other hand i found my Best Weapon simply near the Road on a Random Truck .. A Weapon called "Infinite Rage"
I'm not even joking I was in a green zone and I went to look for these and half of them were already empty and the other half only had melee weapons in it.
Drucker county definitely has the worst drop chances for me really crap weapons in all the cases plus checkpoints and gun stores had crap drops too meagher vally(think that's the name) had the best drops unique weapons dropped from about half of the cases and some good rifles from the gun stores
