I have been watching your videos for several months now. You really inspired me to just do it! I am now in my 3rd week on the road! I’m in a very peaceful campground at Land Between the Lakes in Kentucky ($8 with your park pass), looking at the sunrise over Kentucky Lake, watching the squirrels (Joey would love them), seeing the fish jump, and hearing the birds. Thank you for all you do!

    Such a beautiful place!
So I've been watching you for a long time, and I just did my first solo car camping trip for 2 weeks, and I have to give you SO much credit! I went from NY to Phoenix, up to Denver, and back home. It was so overwhelming at times, and even though I usually like being alone, it got to be a lot. You're such a badass.

Please be careful around those rock areas, RATTLESNAKES! Especially little Joey. I used to live in California the first 19 years of life & never made it to Sequoia/Kings. Thank you for taking me there.

I am very happy you got to see Sequoia National Park. I visited my daughter earlier this summer and was supposed to visit Oregon and Crater Lake. 2 big fires forced me to cancel and choose an alternate destination. I decided to go down to the Harris Ranch at Coalinga, CA and my plans were to visit the Sequoia National Park. After arriving at Harris Ranch, I changed my mind on going to Sequoia. I just stayed there and hung out at the beautiful grounds of the hotel and pool (I love a great pool). Glad you and Joey got to visit both places! I will make it one day! Hope all is well with you and Joey. Keep on keeping on. Love your videos.

We lost one tenth of our big trees in the devastating Castle Fire last year. Fire season is even earlier this year....started in May. I worked for CA State Parks...these losses are heartbreaking for all who strive to protect the beautiful forests and parklands in CA.

If you don’t already have one, might I suggest that you purchase a small dry erase white board.
Then as you set up camp every evening, write down exactly where you are located so that if there is ever an unsafe situation and you need to call 911,
In your panic, you can look at the white board and let the authorities know exactly where you are🤗
    Safe Travels.

Now you’re in my state. Hope you are enjoying it. Joey is so cute! Dogs are never allowed on National Park trails; only campgrounds, parking lots and roads. There is a good reason for it though. Wildlife can be scared off by their scent and they are vulnerable to diseases that dogs might carry. It’s to protect the wildlife.

It sucks that you could not see your special tunnel log. Hopefully you drive over to the coast and come up the coast up the 101 and North of San Francisco cut into where you're actually on the one and going through fort Bragg and that way up the coast all the way to Humboldt county you will love Humboldt county we have big gigantic redwood trees and you can mostly take dogs everywhere. Come a little further up to Trinidad beautiful beautiful beaches that you can hike down to with little Joey and you will love it.

  • @littlemontanalady

Ah, memories! I did this when my daughter was 10, almost 6 years ago! We camped 22 miles from Kings Canyon just outside of Three Rivers, and visited the park many times over a week long visit. I enjoyed the hike around those famous sequoia trees the best. Someday, I'd love to go back, and also visit Yosemite. Glad you could see some them!

I so envy you being able to do what you’re doing. Not jealous, just wish I was able to do it, but my health and hubby won’t let me. I grew up traveling and miss it so. My grand,a used to live up in the Bay Area and I’d spend the whole summer with her, she loved to travel so that’s what we did 60% of the time. Are you going to work camp this summer or just travel this beautiful USA? Safe travels to you and Joey.

Nothing funnier than a turkey running! We have them all over the place. My favorite is when I drive up on a bunch of turkeys and they all start running down the road and it's like one of them remembers they can fly and off they go. That is a beautiful place!
