OMG! I can't believe you missed the chance to film The Keyhole Rock at Goat Rock Beach State Park. That's where they filmed the final scenes of The Goonies and its my HOME beach. I've ridden a bicycle to Goat Rock from Healdsburg (25 mi due NE from Jenner @ Hwy 116), through Bodega and Petaluma and back up via inland, on a number of occasions (in the 80s; do not recommend if you're novice or even generally since people in cars in SoCo tend to be a**holes), as I grew up nearby. Your video almost made this 50 year old man cry, and I just saw the area only 2+ long years ago, 5 or so years up the Mendocino portion. That being said, I met you at *my* Maverik gas station in Reno a few weeks or months before this video (I was the guy wearing sky blue). You are so super sweet and I love the way you put your videos out. It isn't about the van, even when you lose your ID and whatnot. It's ALWAYS about what's going on outside. That's what makes the difference between you and most other van-lifers. At least, to me it does. I will probably watch this a few more times with other music playing and go off on my own trip through your lens(es). So glad I subscribed. 🤗🥰
That's one of my favourite places on earth , i was born there & how wow ! Pretty it is , & glad I'm not there , but in the other sunshine state , yeah , it's warm here , even the water is warm , & also way pretty, 🏝 🌅👍🏼👍🏼💖

We drove along the CA coast in April of 2018 for a couple days on a 52 day trailer hauling journey. Lots of Pacific Ocean views and many wild flowers blooming even in April. Joey is very cute. The 2 dogs that traveled with us were about 55 lbs. each. Safe travels.

I lived in Sonoma county in my early 20s and would drive up and down to all of these places on my days off and sleep in my car. It was so strange watching this because I haven't been there since 2015 yet I automatically recognized every place, even the pull-offs by the beaches. The crystal shop in Jenner, oh my god...And Gualala. All of the random cute little cafes and markets, even if their names have changed I recognized them. I think I know where I'm heading once I get back on the road.
yep, I remember that windy day here!! Our stretch of Hwy 1 got 30 "No overnight parking 10-6am" signs, the year before last. But our police do not ticket. But it is a houseless crisis here. Rainbow sammie? What was the blue food? Yeah, living here is cheaper than therapy.

Lovely pictures. I was wondering how you are doing? Are you glad you took off in your van? What is some advise to help for us that haven't started yet? What was the most difficult? I just watched a video about a van lifer mentioning that some campgrounds are turning away vans unless they are a REAL conversion. (with a sink/built ins, etc..) Since you have been doing a few campgrounds I was wondering what you have come across. Have you been booking tent sites? Is you van considered a full conversion? Just curious! Also maybe do an updated video on how you find your boondocking spots. Take us along for this hunt.

It was good to visit with you when you were at Doran Beach Campground. So glad you hit Fort Bragg, it is one of our favorite places here. You and Joey enjoy your drive up the coast.The yellow flowers are Mustard which is planted in the vineyards to improve the soil. Amazing that they have migrated all the way out to the ocean. If you go further up the coast, into Mendocino, there are spots north of Fort Bragg like Juan Creek
