The Western Station was always an awkward stage for me. I think it was because of level design and camera work there. Also, yes to that semi-impossible Bonus Coin up there! I think I got it by jumping up there by accident one day, though. My most troublesome stage was the Superhero one. In this game, as lovely as it is, it is very difficult to identify which wall was clime-able or not.
I agree with you with the super hero level, but there is 1 more annoying stage: the bonus stage with the beach thing where you need to climb up, that one was a nightmare.
The "over world" was so much better in this one too. There is something nostalgic and dream like about the Foggy TV Dimension in the second one, but this one has way more exploration and interactivity. Why the hell am I replaying Gex 2 rather than Gex 3 lol.
I could never figure out how to get that stupid bonus coin. I had a feeling that you'd have to tail bounce on the mine cart, but I could never get up there. :V Needless to say I have yet to get 100% in this game, because of that bonus coin and there are a few levels I can't stand... :V This is my favorite game in the series, it's a shame that there hasn't been a new gex game since this one... :\
sonikku1011 That bonus coin is very annoying, as you can probably tell from my repeated attempts in this video. It's all about the timing of the tail bounce, but there is room for little error. I've 100%ed this game so many times, it's pretty natural to me now. I really hope that one day we see another Gex game. I have no idea why there hasn't been another one, all of his games (well console versions) were damn good. There's so much material to work with today in regards to TV and movies as well
Indeed it is, I finally got it after all these years after watching your video actually. :V I tend to skip over the Mythology Network, I always had issues with that level as a kid so I never felt the need to play that level. xD But I plan on finally beating this 100%, and I'm in the process of doing so now. And yeah I really wish someone would start a kickstarter or something to bring another Gex game to us. And I agree, they have tons of material to work with, and I liked all three games but the first one is probably my least favorite since it's a side scroll. (And I first played Gex 2, going from the open platforming game to a side scrolling one was a bit strange but eh... Gex 1 is still good on it's own.)
sonikku1011 Well SquareEnix started this program where a developer could bring forth the idea of a new Gex game, and if people want it, SE will back it, so there's still some hope. The first one is my least favorite as well, but it was the first game in the series, so I tend to forgive most of its' faults.

DanTheMan0531 Looks more that bad game design... as it looks like you have to exploit a surface bug/glitch or something xd.
Just got this coin. Use the railtrack as a run-up then tail bounce on the minecart. Took me 3 attempts, easy when you know how.
