Hi Guys not sure if it was this episode but thanks for a beautiful reminder of a bygone breakfast & we had it at home this morning 👍 boiled eggs & soldiers. Haven’t had it for years 😊
Wow what a journey. Wolf Creek Crater always think of john jarratt. Was there many other people on the road? It really is in the middle of nowhere. Great episode.
Ha ha yes we thought about that as well, we’ve only watched the 1st one, that was enough for us LOL. We didn’t see hardly anyone on the road, just the odd vehicle but we think that will change once they bitumen the whole track. Thanks for watching and glad you enjoyed our video 👍😍
Thanks for the Tanami drive through . We really enjoyed it especially your photography . We think Turtle on your dash is looking weary . He , like you is well travelled . Just a question or 2 , what time of year was it when you did this trip and do you tell anyone where you are going and your eta for safety reasons ?
Thanks, glad you enjoyed our trip, we were there in September. We don’t normally tell anyone but this time we did tell a friend because we had never driven through a desert before and didn’t know what to expect. Surprisingly, you do see other vehicles (not many at this stage but can imagine it will increase as they complete more of the roadworks) on the road. We told our friend a eta and if he hadn’t heard from us to call someone 👍
@ Many thanks for that info . Was just interested as we have driven a short distance of the Tanami from Halls Head but for prospecting in August a few years ago . We also are solo travellers (not full time and from Perth ) so when on the road so carry a PLB and love finding campsites away from the madding crowd .
@@turtletrackstravelsYes prospecting but not usually up that way more Northern Goldfields and east of Kalgoorlie and I don’t go , its a couple of mates for 4/6 weeks at a time in the cooler months . The gold is the bonus if found , it’s the off grid , out in the bush and as you’ve mentioned, the glorious night skies in the middle of no where .
Another great vid, love the humour you guys dish out. What do you use for maps to locate points of interest in the remote areas? Hema, Google or Wikicamps offline?
Thanks, glad you enjoy our sense of humour. We use a bit of Google, Wiki, Campermate ,plus we try and pop into a tourist information beforehand and see if they have any info 👍
i enjoyed this video, but a reference to distance to main towns, would let us know were you are, eg when you reached the NT border.i needed to google map where the Tanimi crosses it.
Wow what a great trip really enjoyed it 🤗 3 questions…….you have 130l tank and 2 Jerry cans of fuel did that get you from halls creek to Alice ? Do you have to have a permit to drive this road ? We’re going to be doing the Tanami in July but from Alice to halls creek then up to el questro where did you camp on the Tanami ? Thanks guys great episode one I was really looking forward to and didn’t disappoint 🙌🏻
Thanks guys, glad you enjoyed it. We didn’t need a permit to drive this route. Yes we had enough fuel to get to Alice but we did do that top up in the Aboriginal community to make sure we had enough. We camped at Wolf Creek and another free camp that was on WikiCamps but can’t remember the name of it (it had windmills). 😍
Keep an eye on your side door on the tray it was not locked the latch was down, also they are called communities not villages haha, like your videos spent many years out through these parts safe travels
Wolfe Creek an absolutely magic spot
Totally agree with you there, so magical especially at sunset and sunrise 👍🤩

Hey guys
Being out in nature and travelling to see the world around us is far better than any night club, i think.
Nice drive !

Awesome ep and areas guys
Thank you, glad you enjoyed this episode, we loved capturing the beauty of the desert 👍🤩

hopefully I can get up that way before they seal the roads, I really want to experience it before hand
Definitely 👍 We fear that once they do seal more of the road there will be a lot more people taking this route and it definitely won’t be the same 🤩
We did this road a few yrs ago. So rough and corrugated. Plus dealing with dingoes. Hubby and would still do it again beautiful scenery
Yeah, we agree the scenery is amazing, we’d do it again in a heartbeat 🤩
Dealing with dingoes… So do you think the dingo took my baby?
Can’t wait to get out there……thanks for sharing the comedy channel 😂
You can always count on us for a good laugh 😂 Thanks for joining us on this adventure 👍
Great Vid.... One Day... hopefully before it is sealed.
Thank you 🤩
