Hi Paul, just needed to say thank you so much for all the helpful content you've created! I lost my career in 2019 after Multiple Sclerosis left me with limited vision and mobility. I was feeling so lost and knew I wanted to be able to work and support myself again but had no clue what I'd be able to do with my limitations. Publishing and writing were always something I liked the idea of but never thought I'd be able to do. Your videos taught me so much and were a great resource for learning and getting me started! I'm just getting started so it's only a hobby for now, but I'm feeling hopeful and creative once again - so thank you!!

I had actually tried to make the font myself in of all things PPT by using their "Shape Outline Tool/Option" of dotted lines, but it was just not good. Then I was going to try AI but I couldn't make it work very easily so I stopped. YOU are a genius, thank you, thank you! LOL! 😉💖👍 p.s. thanks for the update on Book Bolt, I wanted to use them but when I was looking at them back in March for some reason I had a tough time on their site. I am glad to see I need to go back there.
Thank you Paul, i got Book Bolt yesterday with your discount code and managed to upload 4 notebooks yesterday. Easy! I've been looking for this Font too for a handwriting book for kids. When I was a teacher this was something most kids needed to work on but teachers in upper levels did not have time for in their curriculum. If Parents work on it early, it's much easier! Good Habits!

Hi Paul. I agree with others I really like your tutorial, I have most of them saved. I am having a problem with the download of the fonts program learning curve 40. I have never used Adobe or one drive. I use Affinity Designer and book bolt. The program will not download to anything but Adobe and I don't know how to move it over. I have googled it but the suggestions don't work. How did you flip yours over to a different platform? Thank you
Thank you. With mostly the aid of your videos, I have completed my first KDP project, a cursive handwriting workbook. I used PowerPoint and converted to a PDF format, then used Adobe Acrobat Reader. I cannot upload this book in this form, though, because when I look at the PDF version, there are parts of my Learning Curve Font that are erased. Do you know of any solutions to this?
I found the answer and am posting it here for anyone who has the same problem. Buy Adobe Acrobat Standard or Pro. Either one of these will include Adobe Acrobat Distiller. When you open it, click on Settings, and under that Font Locations. Click on Add. Then add whatever folder you have the font files saved under. Close out Distiller, open Adobe Acrobat and File, Create PDF. This solved all my problems with the font being messed up.

Great video, you gave me some good ideas, I just got started with kdp and have 5 books stuck in review. Hopefully they will all get published. I'm loving the potential of this as I have good graphic and web design skills. Wish I knew about this last year. I would have so many books out there. After your video I purchased the fonts using the Small Publisher (TPT) license. It states on the website, "This license is intended for small publishers who wish to use the fonts for their own small commercial oriented productions. The Small Publisher/TPT License covers the Print on Demand on Amazon. Use the fonts to create children’s activity books that will be uploaded for sale, in PDF format, to Amazon’s KDP platform and others." This makes it sound like it is fine to use them with this license for KDP Amazon. Any thoughts from others?

I made a book with this cursive bvfont & its been blocked. kdp has told me to delete it 🙁 They say books aren't allowed that have content that is freely available on the web, unless you are the copyright owner or its in the public domain. I made my own layout, diagrams (not a copied), so can't think why this is being stopped when it seems like others are using it. Any insights?
Paul Marles Hi, yes I created in Keynote, including the diagrams. I've emailed them, so hopefully they'll look into it. The problem with the email is, I'm not sure what it is specifically they have an issue with. If it is the font, I wouldn't want to spend more time making changes. I'll see what they come back with. Not lame at all. I don’t think you can. You can only export as pdf. You can open up a pdf in something like adobe illustrator and then copy and paste each page into PowerPoint.
@@paulmarles I found a way to do it by using snip tool and using the image as background. Its probably good enough for printing at home. I am not sure about the quality for actual book. Thank you for all the content you do. I thinks its just fun to think about what are all the things you could do with some creativity. Appreciate your time and effort running this channel.

I'm having a hard time formatting my workbook. I usually use gimp and canva for my children's and low content books but everytime I save it as a pdf the formatting goes all wonky. I've tried using Word and Canva. Any advice?
Vecteezy is good but can only sell 50 books. But, if you sell 50 books you could use that money to invest in the pro license which would give you unlimited sales.
Ok I have a question so the cursive worksheets on book bolt are pdf files. Unless you convert the pdf to jpg how are you able to add text on an image? Even if you use a text box it doesn’t allow the text to sit properly on the worksheet lines.

It's not a simple case of activating. The videos have to be transcribed first which I am working through, but with over 200 videos that will take some time.
i PERSONALLY DON'T LIKI personally don't like the cursive handwriting font. I know this may seem like a silly question. But can I use a different fornt that is free for commercial an personal use? Not sure if the one in the video has a special license that say's that you an use as writing material, making it stand out from the rest of the fonts.
I just copied and pasted from adobe Illustrator. In the free version I give away there is a .png version that you can just copy and paste into PowerPoint.

Did you create all the interior yourself? You could try making a few changes and resubmitting the book.

Without knowing your workflow it’s very difficult to say. If you save as png and import to canva it should be ok.

If you installed it, then yes, it will be automatically in your computer, everywhere, whether it's PowerPoint or other editing software.
Download the 'Nexusfont' program to organize fonts that you use.

The font is like that for a reason - to help people create the correct letter shapes. It’s not just any old dotted line font.
