You found a great shop here. I spayed $.50 size red circles where to put the Jack front and rear on my Airstream and H3 so I could quickly remember where to put the Jack. Needed this several times. Otherwise, you will never remember these critical spots.
What a great, informative video! For a guy who’s just buying his first van and wants to hit the road more equipped, the video really checked some boxes. Thanks!
Thank you for responding!👍 Our paths may cross on this trip. Left Florida a week ago heading to Arizona. Currently on Bolivar Peninsula, Texas, Watching carefully your tips and suggestions. 2020 PW Ascent. You took a picture of your Ascent roof for me answering my question about solar before we ordered this last year
I learned something last year that struck me as humorous. Apparently the panels are actually 100 watts, not 95. I think the importer claims 95 to avoid some sort of tariff. We leave Disney World tomorrow. Plans changed and we need to be back home March 1.
I got a kick out of the horn issue. Replacing the stock meep meeper was one of my earlier upgrades to my 2018 Ascent. I used a pair of Hellas, which I was able to fit into the location of the original horn after removing it. I am not a big honker, but when I need a horn, I want it to be an attention-getter. Mine cost less than $30 all in, but I did it myself. Sounds like a Mercedes should sound!
Thank you for sharing 'the possibilities', if you don't know, you don't know. Thank you for all yours and 'John' at Agile Offroad time and effort to enlighten us.
I lived in San Diego from 79 to 82 and there were bike paths and lanes nearly everywhere. I lived in Mission Beach and worked at the shipyard next to the naval base. I didn't even own a car. I miss the weather there.
Wish they would work on Ram Promaster’s, but found the lift kit and now on the wait list for it. Tires, rims, and new heavier duty brakes. Also, an auxiliary radiator fan for better cooling of the radiator coolant. Thanks for the video and as always good job by the both of you.
I went to agile off-road for Modification per your recommendation, List of upgrades RIP Kit, Rhino wheel package including spare tire carrier, onboard air, Pedal box New horn, Tug step. but I had quite a bit of trouble, to begin with, they did not move the Propane access and they advise the biggest tire they can install is 265/70-R-17 with no rub fender modification but the tire does not fit because the front tires are rubbing when turning the wheel we waited 4 hours to modify. They broke the clip on the front panel trim but instead of replacing them they put 2 screws inside the passenger door and 1 screw inside the driver's side creating a gap. Not sure if they are doing quality control. Not sure if you may want to stop recommending that shop
Thanks for the info. You are the first person who has reported a negative experience aside from their slow email responses. I’ll see if I can get a response from one of the owners.
@@FromShetoMe Agile off Road should have advised me that the 265/70-r17 does not fit and advise me. which they did not do, on top of that they charge me 1098.40 over the invoice because they have a glitch in their system and I have yet to receive a refund. Oh and the name is Lina
Thanks for sharing! I have a PW Ascent also and will be installing the Fox Shocks from Agile. Do you remember if John tuned your rear shocks to V4 or V5?
@@FromShetoMe ... in Europe, no, every gas station sells diesel, but in some areas in the usa its a bit harder to find diesel at gas stations. Large diesel fuel tank in camper vans make sense, if you use a diesel heater and maybe a diesel ceramic hob too. And range from 1200 miles is nice too.
Just a suggestion if you have 4 way auto levelers I think you can do away with this Jack which you have to go find the spot to place in the chassis. No bending and carrying a jack in the cab The auto leveler will carry the chassis to change your tire. Check it out if this can be adopted to your rig.
We often utilize the search function within your channel to go back and review subjects that you've covered in the past. We're considering ordering the Agile Offroad jack. Do you continue to carry it on all of your trips?
Many thanks for another great video that I watched very carefully. There was some discussion on Auxillary Tanks. I was wondering if it is possible to install one in pleasure way Ascent with the way their other tanks are underneath? I know they remove the spare in Revel and create space but Ascent does not come with a spare. I did send a query to Agile and they told me that they will have to look at the van.

I am also looking for a similar extension for my ebike rack that moves it further behind the spare tire like yours. Was yours a custom or did you purchase it somewhere? Congrats on your upgrade and professional video.
Hi: Great info in this video. Did you also exchange your horn for something louder? I was wondering about the weight on the back of your rig with the bikes and spare tire. It almost looks a little “back-heavy” because the bikes are spaced a little farther out than the spare tire. Do you find the movement, or bouncing of the bikes to be an issue? Do you know the total weight of everything (van, people, bikes, spare tire, etcetera) now that you have added these extras? The air compressor and extra gas tank were interesting. I wonder how much extra weight that adds.
John really wants the horn but we didn't get it this time. We don't notice any difference in the way the vehicle handles with the tires/bikes. We did not get the gas tank as we have never had an issue finding fuel. But the weight would be mostly just the liquid which is about 8lbs per gallon.
Manufacturer's will always try to blame something you have done to a vehicle, but the reality is, they would have to show that what you did was the cause or contributed to the failure. Have you ever heard of someone having a suspension problem while it was under warranty? We're already out of warranty. Besides, you'll never get MB to tell you anything other than what serves their interests. Most people think they have to take the vehicle to MB for routine service, but you don't and it doesn't void the warranty. Some states are more aggressive on warranty issues than other states so you would need to consult an expert in your state/country.
Been watching your videos for awhile, great job, in one of your last videos you were showing a cup holder you picked up and it fit in your factory holder in the front cab, where did you get it? Do not like the factory one at all, thanks
I researched this topic 2 years ago and found that European RV owners do want Spare Tires, not sure where you got your info. I don't remember the exact number of Flat Tires in the USA last year, but it was a BIG NUMBER. I hope to buy an Ascent (2nd PleasureWay) and it will have a Spare used together with a Bike Rack for our two e bikes.

All I want to to do is purchase a RIP kit and because I live in FL, I have a local 4x4 shop doing the install. They have been trying to contact Agile for over two weeks. Yes, it was over the Christmas holidays but still, just reply to the emails. There are message boards questioning if Agile is even still in business. Auto manufacturers are so silly. Gas jerrycans are red, gas vehicle caps (e85 rated or whatever they are) are yellow. Diesel jerrycans are yellow, diesel cap is red. That is really so sneaky stuff to create fixes by user error.
The standardized color code for diesel fuel fill is green not yellow. It used to be yellow. Storage is still yellow though. Why they used a red cap is baffling.
The PIAA horn kit they used is 2.7A per, so combined with the stock horn is going to be less than 8A peak. This is a pretty small intermittent load. There is no need for a relay.
