It's definitely in the top 3. Beyond that, I think it's one of Bruce's best, ever.
It got me on the third time i was listening. Rain on the graves stills number one for me but this one comes second best.
No way this is the best song, mistress of mercy is so much better. Also this album is not in the same level of accident of birth, chemical wedding and tyranny of souls, way more down

This song really hit me as I grew up with Chemical Wedding as one of my favorite albums. What a great follow up.

This song was written almost 15 years ago. The initiative was to ronnie james dio sing in the beginning and the second section was supposed to be reserved for rob halford. Everything crushed ronnies cancer

Bruce Dickinson Should be Knighted! He is truly an awesome vocalist that I have been listening to since Beast Release:)!!
But then you could say the same thing about Harris, given that he wrote most of the lyrics for maiden, almost all of them, actually.
And the rest of the band OBEs , great ambassadors and promoters of the UK and the performing arts, but it's all about who you know I suppose.
Bruce Dickinson is one of the last great polymaths and a real music man so yes, why not give him a top honour.

@@dejanmarkovic3040 Volume is not substitute for quality - in my opinion Bruce wrote the most interesting songs lyrically. Look at what Maiden became when they lost him, and look at what Bruce created on his own in that time. I'd put AoB and CW above almost all Maiden albums. Even ToS is right up there.

I must truly say that I rock out to all of the Iron Maiden albums and love them all! My favorite Album has definitely got to be”Seventh Son of a Seventh Son” Truly an Amazing Masterpiece from beginning to the end!! I still find myself air guitarist through the solo’s in my kitchen as I’m a solo chef go a girls sorority house where I feed 50+girls:) that are awesome!
This is officially my favorite song from the album. I love the changes and the twists that occurred during the song that it left me surprised 😂. My eyes went super wide and questioned if it was actually Bruce singing it and it is. This will be on repeat for a while ❤️

Love the production on this! F*ck yeah! The songwriting is exquisite. This is no doubt Bruces best solo album, period. He has always been consistently good in the past, but very much within a predictable box, this is fresh, yet still with his soul in it.
