Most of your redesigns are great, this one I'm on the fence, looks like a Chrysler 300. I think it would have tied it together if you drew a modern ford grill like the Taurus has.

A, b, and c pillars should also be tweaked as most of ur redesigns look like some sort of body kit rather than actual redesigns. Ur redesigns look like new cars until I look at the windows, roof and pillars.

I own a 2010 Mercury Grand Marquis and this looks like a Taurus and 300C had a child lol. That being said if this existed, and it had Fords 5.0L V8 Coyote engine, id buy it.
Don’t understand complaints about 300c look. This one keeps very unique own crown Vic silhouette. 300C is totally different and have it’s own. So good job, mate.
While I don’t disagree entirely I think it’s a great looking car. I am a big camaro fan. And the 4th gens we’re out while I was in high school. I’ve got a 99 hugger orange SS now. For most people it’s a love hate car.

You missed the biggest possible opportunity and the most distinctive feature about this car. The number one thing that made this car so memorable, so menacing... the headlights were instantly recognizable at night in your rear view mirror, and you never knew if it was a cop, taxi, or grandma behind you, which only added to the anxiety. Any crown Vic needed to have the same headlight design. Just like a mustang or corvette or Ferrari and the tail lights. But you’re European, you don’t know these things.

As a proud owner of 2009 CVPI, I don't know how I feel about this new design. I'd need to see the rear of the new design to make any final judgements. I guess I love it and hate it. I love how it still manages to keep its original shape but hate how much radically different it looks, the front looks like a Chrysler 300C front with almost all the Ford taken out of it. I will say if you squint your eyes and see it from afar it does kinda like a Crown Victoria. The Crown Victoria is a timeless car, and even though it's dated in design it's still instantly recognizable on the road and not to mention a reliable workhorse with many perks. Just wanted to provide my thoughts on your modern design.
What a bold video. You opened yourself up to all kinds of criticism, but I applaud you for taking that risk just for the fun of it. Automotive design is something that has fascinated me since I was about 6 or 7 years old. You did a good job of thinking forward. I tend to want to make everything look like it's from the late 60's early 70's; because that's the era I'm obsessed with.
I just bought a 2010 with under 90,000 miles on it. It's clean as fuck and has the Martytune to add some horsepower. Sounds great. I want to have at least two. Great car.
Never said the flaws were with reliability. I was more thinking of the 40 year old Panther platform, which incidentally makes it even easier to fix, size (land yacht), obsolescent platform (Ford literally scrapped it because they didn't want to comply with the 2013 federal requirement for stability control or something). However, I totally want to buy one before they go away. Nothing compares to them, I just find them so fucking desirable, as a European. Truly a wonderful car that has no equivalent.
These were designed from the beginning as a commercial vehicle(interceptor, airport limo, taxi, and retail sales almost an afterthought when the initial design was laid out. F150 truck frame w a sedan body that was meant for a minimum service life of 20 yrs w not much more than oil changes. Same 2 valve sohc engine that went into the trucks and designed for max durability and reliability rather than brute power. This engine cannot be killed unless run dry on coolant or oil. A masterpiece of simplicity that served its purpose and became a living legend and we won’t see its kind come our way again. Get one while u can. I did and will keep my 2005 lx forever. It’s in show condition (lm 76 yrs old) even tho I’m not.

That car feels like something from the 2030s, that was awesome! Although..I really didn't like those wheels. They seemed too flashy for something that's supposed to have simplicity. But in the end, I like it. And I might start doing that photoshop stuff just to redesign the Crown Vic. I Hope Ford is watching ☝️😉 that would be a bad ass police car. Most of these are gone. Police are replacing the Vic with the new Ford Explorer EcoBoost. That thing ain't no slouch either.
I'm honesty not a Ford fan, however i.ve always loved the Ford Crown Victoria. In my opinion it's by far the best police car that's ever been in service. I love seeing CVPI's still in service. Nice to see that some police departments including my city still have a few in service in 2019/2020.
I think it would actually be kinda cool, like ev, with active areo. I say ev, because one of the biggest issues with the previous Daytona was it's closed off nose, which caused issues with overheating. Given that modern engines require even more cooling, you wouldn't really be able to do a closed off nose with them, there would be just way too many reliability issues. But with evs, they still require cooling, but nowhere near as much. I might sketch something up.

Yes and no, one of the many great things about modern ford design, is compared to most mainstream brands, they do a great job at differentiating their designs. The Explorer looks nothing like a edge or expedition, the escape doesn't really look like a expedition either. The Ford get speaks for itself, their trucks are diversified etc. So it's hard to say what defines ford design dna at times.

You just gave cops all over the USA a huge hard on. Well the guys anyway. They are all traumatized from losing the Crown Vic and having to drive those crappy Taurus’s or even worse the Explorers. If they are lucky they get a Charger. Why don’t you do them all a favor and do another quick touch up with black Steelies with the small chrome center caps and throw on a spotlight for good measure. Also need to add lines where the bumper covers meet the body. They go through those things like paper plates and they need easily repairable bodies. Oh!! A push bar too!! I mean, every cop I've talked to has loved the explorers, the chargers are always in the shop. I've literally seen 3 charger cops cars broken down in the last like month.

One key part of the Crown Vic that this doesn't have an desperately needs are those large oversized bumpers the Vic has, it just makes it so iconic and better for police use as a ram fender
I love the new outlook on an older style sedan. I daily a 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis that is similar to the Crown Vic, most would say they are the same. I want mine to look like that now lol. Your design reminds me closely of a Rolls Royce.
as someone who grew up in the new york metro area this car is so iconic with the city scape as a taxi or police car and its so sad now a days i dont see them anymore, i really wish ford does bring it back like this because it would be sad to see it go after all this time

Have you done the PT Cruiser? It has potential, but its design is a bit “off”.
Those headlights look sick, I cant take my eyes off them. I love the black triangle at the bottom of the lights, looks like a teardrop or something.

I say ev, because one of the biggest issues with the previous Daytona was it's closed off nose, which caused issues with overheating. Given that modern engines require even more cooling, you wouldn't really be able to do a closed off nose with them, there would be just way too many reliability issues. But with evs, they still require cooling, but nowhere near as much. I might sketch something up.

The Taurus doesn't use most of Ford's design ques, the Fusion, Mustang, and F150 are good reference points for a Ford looking car.
Yes and no, one of the many great things about modern ford design, is compared to most mainstream brands, they do a great job at differentiating their designs. The Explorer looks nothing like a edge or expedition, the escape doesn't really look like a expedition either. The Ford get speaks for itself, their trucks are diversified etc. So it's hard to say what defines ford design dna at times.
The Fusion is a low budget rip of Aston Martin though
And the FGX Falcon, probably Ford's last V8 sedan.

You just gave cops all over the USA a huge hard on. Well the guys anyway. They are all traumatized from losing the Crown Vic and having to drive those crappy Taurus’s or even worse the Explorers. If they are lucky they get a Charger.
Why don’t you do them all a favor and do another quick touch up with black Steelies with the small chrome center caps and throw on a spotlight for good measure.
Also need to add lines where the bumper covers meet the body. They go through those things like paper plates and they need easily repairable bodies.

I mean, every cop I've talked to has loved the explorers, the chargers are always in the shop. I've literally seen 3 charger cops cars broken down in the last like month.

One key part of the Crown Vic that this doesn't have an desperately needs are those large oversized bumpers the Vic has, it just makes it so iconic and better for police use as a ram fender

The Crown Vic's look very similar to the NA/NC Ford Fairlanes which were produced here in Australia from 1988 to 1995
It would be cool to see a redesigned 1987 Jeep Grand Wagoneer but try to keep the wood panels.

I love the new outlook on an older style sedan. I daily a 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis that is similar to the Crown Vic, most would say they are the same. I want mine to look like that now lol. Your design reminds me closely of a Rolls Royce.

as someone who grew up in the new york metro area this car is so iconic with the city scape as a taxi or police car and its so sad now a days i dont see them anymore, i really wish ford does bring it back like this because it would be sad to see it go after all this time

It also looks like the 2020 Explorer front end as well. The Ford Explorer is a knockoff Land Rover Range Rover Evoque.
