    The only problem to this is finding the boards that match your old flooring....

    You saved my a--! I am about B+ on most construction jobs. My dog peed on a section while were out for dinner, and she left a HUGE puddle in the middle of the floor. We cleaned it up, woke up the next morning to find a foot diameter circle of raised and feathered area of my BRAND NEW LAMINANT! That was in 2007. We just ignored it, and it got worse and worse. Now, we are selling the home, and it's time to do something about it. The realtor immediately noticed it, so this morning I scoured YT to find your video. I was gun-shy at first, but just kept going. The last board was fashioned with all the slots cut off except the front one. Since it was on the upper floor, and the base-board was wood, I screwed them in with two decking screw because it was SUPER TIGHT. I was tired of trimming, and only had two boards left, but it held very nicely. THANKS AGAIN! You saved me about $500, and I don't think the repairman could of done a better job. Wife is impressed with my skills! YOU DA MAN! Took about 3 hours and involved 8 boards.

    After hearing my son excitedly shout “wow! I just can’t believe this” from across the house, followed by using every towel in the house to clean up an overflowing toilet, I was a bit worried when my floor boards started squelching. This was an excellently shot video that explained your fix extremely well! Thanks!

    This is incredibly helpful, but
    How much does a smaller repair like that normally cost (labor, then material separate)?
    How do you match the new planks with the remaining planks?
    How long does that job take?

      @@89degreestudio56 no it was clear. Common sense is obviously a skill. the damaged floor is repaired… not replaced. Replaced would mean a entire new floor. “How repair a laminate plank” is what you are looking for

    • @89degreestudio56
      @89degreestudio56 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@jamesjackson7616 you can't repair a laminate plank. Only replace. That's common knowledge.
      Yes, I'm trolling you... by throwing your words back in your face. Settle down. You're way too worked up over nothing. And from months ago, no less.

    I have Malinois x Dutch Shepherds . They take their balls to have a drink, to avoid the other one stealing it. Results are Apple bobbin to retrieve said balls and carrying a mouthful of water in the process 😂🤯
    If only I had listened to my neighbour and sealed the joins after installing! Pretty sure I can manage this fix with the help of my Son!
    Thank you for sharing your expertise. 😊

  • @RetrieverTrainingAlone
    @RetrieverTrainingAlone ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The first plank is the key...sometimes very difficult for example in a closet where the ends are tight to the wall.

    • @hotelbooking6923
      @hotelbooking6923 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you have to repair a piece close to the end in a small area you can just take off the base and remove the pieces to get to the ones you want and put it back together since it's only a few pieces in the closet anyway. This video shows something you should only really do if the problem is in the middle of a big area and taking the flooring apart from the end is a bad idea

    Can I use this same process on LVP? I put NuCore LVP flooring throughout our house a couple years ago and now realize I should have taken a wall down first. So now I'd like to take the wall down but it's right in the middle of the room where I floored. I'll have to pull up an area of flooring and redo it.
