The craziest part of this movie is how much of it legitimately happened when you look into the real story, real footage, etc. Not all, obviously, but a shocking amount of it.
Ginger hates herself, so she loves a guy who doesn't care at all and hates the guy who worships her. And Ace is the kind of guy who mistakes her chaos for spirit.
Side note: the hitters that killed everybody towards the end were the actual shooters from real life.they said the guys portraying them didn’t look or authentic so they told them to do it again.
I don’t know about the other guy, but the shorter stocky guy with the glasses was Frank Cullotta - the real Nicky’s (Tony Spilotro) friend and right-hand man.
1:11:44 the guy who puts two in the back of Andy Stone's head in this scene is Frank Cullotta, the real life mob guy who Frank Vincent's character 'Frank Marino' was loosely based on, and lived pretty much the entire story this film is based on. He was also a consultant on the film.
6:43 The mobster Pesci is imitating in this movie is Anthony “Ant” Spilotro. In real life this guy was actually the same size as Pesci but he was feared in Chicago and Vegas as a ruthless killer.
The real life guy that the character Frankie was based on who was Joe Pesci's characters best friend is a guy named Frank Cullotta. He was a consultant on this movie, he passed away a couple years ago but there is a TH-cam series called Coffee with Cullotta where he tells stories about everything that happened in Vegas from back in the day
10/10 The most uncompromising studio picture of the 1990s. A complex, multilayered, beautifully directed film, Martin Scorsese's Casino is a masterpiece of destruction and betrayal. Few films take so many chances and succeed so wonderfully. It takes some of the basic formulas that were found in Goodfellas and applies them to another type of story - while Goodfellas' view was ground-level, telling the story of the "blue collar" gangsters of NYC, this film tells the story of the guys who controlled those guys. And it's fascinating to watch these people run Las Vegas, control the flow of money, and then fall from the heights of power due to lust, hubris, and greed. An amazing film that will hopefully get the recognition it deserves in the years to come.
The 2 real gangsters Pesci played in these movies was Casino: Anthony Spillotro (Chicago Outfit Mafia) Goodfellas: Tommy Desimone (Gambino family from BKLYN) Both where real psychopaths Irl
As great as DeNiro is in all these gangster films, you 2 should really watch 2 of, imo, his best roles ever....The Deer Hunter{some scenes that will shake you}and Cape Fear.
If you wanna see Joe Pesci absolutely unrecognizable in a mob role from his Goodfellas and Casino counterparts, check him out as Russ Buffalino in Netflix's "The Irishman". And not because of the shitty aging CGI, but the entire character prototype.
Pacino, Pesci (Pesh E) c is silent J.😳....no other words are needed. Mob ish was fr and none of this half ass gangster ish now compares. The Italian Mob was the real mob...
I saw episode of The Twilight Zone with slot machine as a kid in the 70s. As an adult in 90s i wound up on a casino cruise boat in Miami where they gave us $10 in free tokens when bought tix. First time i tried slot i won, just like on TZ, $50!!! Spent next several minutes putting every bit of it back into slots, just like TZ.😅 Was first & only time i gambled! See ya. ✌️🌎❤️
Just shows how influental my 2nd G.O.A.T. only to The Man Stanley Kubrick was/is!!! Hey, i was an 80s teen!😅 All anybody knew Pesci from was the mob movies & pretty much his Scorsese roles until Hughes dropped his kiddie flick "Home Alone". Hughes over Scorsese!🤣 🤗💕 See ya. ✌️🌎❤️
I'm telling you right now, and anyone in my life will testify to this truth. My temper is QUICK like Joe Pescis here, no bull💩. I have learned to control my temper because it scares the 💩 out of me. I don't know if it's being 5'0 or being Italian, but me and Joe Pesci are long lost twins.
If you want more Joe Pesci (who doesn’t) watch My Cousin Vinny. It’s hilarious and Pesci plays an attorney for a case in the Bible Belt. He will crack you up.
New movie come out with Joe and deniro is called the Irishman base on true story about jimmy hoffa al picano Robert deniro and Joe only thing I hate about the movie it is 4 hours
What I liked most aboit this movie is that unlike with Goodfellas, where you're rooting for the main characters, Casino is the opposite. The main characters are awful people, and you pray for their downfall.
This is a great British documentary about the real story behind Goodfellas and the character Pesci plays. Not asking you to do a reaction to it, just enjoy the real Henry Hill talking about Jimmy, Paulie and Tommy and the writer (Nick Pillegi) and director (Martin Scorsese) adding their two cents. Well worth a watch. th-cam.com/video/023gVPfoXxk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ChIlxTjEHBlLJzPx

Omgsh. I'm so happy for this. Donnie Brasco or Carlito's Way next!
Both of those, absolutely. From what I’ve seen of the 1996 John Gotti TV movie, that might be worth a reaction too.
W comment and suggestions.
THE Irishman has them both and al Pacino in it
31:15. You better listen to her man….she got it all clocked 😂

Cape fear was crazy 😧🤣! I like the original film better, though.

Pesci’s character is also influenced by Sammy “the Bull” Gravano
You know this was based off of a true story right?
React to the movie The Irish man with Joe Pecsi and Robert De Niro. It's a good movie

Do you have any plans to do it?
