I was a freshman in high school when the original Four Loko came out, and the local stores sold it to us because they thought it was just an energy drink.
I drank so many Four Lokos until they were banned lol. Gotta love underage drinking!

From what I remember, Four Loko was never that big in my town. The big thing was Vodka and Monster. Heart palpitations, diarrhea, blacking out in a cornfield, or crying in a gas station bathroom listening to Britney Spears. Oh god, I heard so many hilarious stories. I had a few experiences with it where I was playing Black Ops 2 with my friend then would just black out listening to Owl City. Then wake up at 3 AM not knowing where I was. Good times.

I was a freshman in college back in fall of 2010. I drank 3 watermelon Lokos during a party once and almost got my ass kicked from whatever I did afterward. Yeah, I blacked out. Good times.

I remember in 11th grade emptying out a poweraide bottle and filling it with my favorite flavor fourloko watermelon flavor. And I remember it was pink. It looked like poweraide but just made the carbonation sound and that's what gave it away.

I used to drink 7 of them in an entire day of partying, I see them as fuel, never drink them if you're just going to sit down and chill with friends, they are meant for you to go out and be crazy. 4 friends, a car, 10 hours across different states, you'll see, there isn't such a thing as too many lokos.
The original made me feel GREAT then I started thinking about dying. I have a high tolerance to alcohol, never blackout, but this one kicked my ass.

This videos great but does anyone else remember when four loko first came out? Only one flavor (grape) generic looking can and it had wormwood which I believe is in absinthe plus the caffeine guarana and taurine.

I remember even before Four Loko was in stores around me, I remember the very first time that I drank an alcoholic energy drink was when my next door neighbor gave me a can of Sparks back in late 2006 and I also remember buying the Jungle Joose with 9.9% ALC by volume and drinking it in early 2007.

I remember drinking the original ones all the time in sophomore year, then by senior year everyone was saying it’s a kids drink and that was including me. I don’t know anyone that drinks this besides homeless people and high school kids.

I was trying to walk and it felt as if I had 1,000 bricks on my legs 😑 my head was hurting super bad & my stomach and everything I eat would comes up 😩 & I had the bubbly upset stomach as well 😳 I was foaming at the mouth & kept spitting 🤮 the doctor said If I didn’t get that out my system it would of killed me it was my body way of releasing the toxic from the poison that was in my body caused by the drink .

Almost every day lol. I'm in Mesa, AZ. I first saw the 14% varieties about a year ago. The variety differs from gas station to gas station. You'd have a better chance of finding more flavors at an actual liquor store tho.

You know, caffeine in it's pure form is cheap online. All they did was remove caffeine, guarana and taurine, it's the caffeine that makes it, I remember adding caffeine to hard cider, my gf and I had a lot of fun with that, add 1/16th of a teaspoon to a litre (2 pints) and that's about 300mg, depends how much caffeine to alcohol you want really, too much caffeine and you won't be able to drink as much, it's a balance. Probably better to weigh it, but I never had any issues.

I remember back in my days of heavy drinking like in 2008 till 2010 drinking a lot of 211s, Schlitz bull ice, as well as the original Four lokos. I remember other caffinated alcoholic drinks as will throughout 2009-10 like Max, Joose, and Sparks. The very first four lokos that I saw actually had 11% abv in early 2009.
