    A very good session for all employees, whether a fresh graduates, on-job professional or stuck in carrier. One thing that is missed in this podcast. T new trend comes to see that companies prefer to hire young people on less salary and fire the seniors.

    Hi Maria, wondering if you do a podcast on the need and importance of a coach in our lives. In West coaching is a well established profession but in Pakistan coaching is relatively a new profession. Most of the people don't know about coaching and how it is different with other professions, for example, mentoring, counselling, therapy, consulting and etc. Most of the people mix up coaching, mentoring, counselling but in fact they all are different fields. All successful people have coach or coaches. My suggestion would be to do a podcast on this very important subject of coaching, its importance and why we need a coach. If you find someone to talk on this subject that's great otherwise I am available to talk on this subject of coaching. Regards, Raihan from Toronto

    I completely disagree from this point of view that how outlook of candidates should be to get into an interview and the ability of telling the story (communication skills). Of course, these things are equally important but not the only qualities to assess the professional capabilities of the candidates. In other words, i must say that " industries ne iss country k bht se qabil log zaaya kr diye sirf issi baat pe keh un k communication skills achhi nai hyn aur un ka confidence interview mn upto the mark nai hota, mn ne khud bht se logon ko interview kiya jin mn ye wali qualities tau nai theen but they were highly skilled ones and the 100% fit to the role they were interviewed. Now they are rocking in their roles and have ensured a great contribution towards the company's success, but bht se log issi wajah se zaya ho gaye ya peechhay reh gaye keh un ki communication skills achhi nai hyn). Ye aik bht bara almiya hai iss mulk ka.

    This interview is good but there is something which I don’t buy it.
    Can anybody on Tv will say how much influence and most importantly, politics is running in the organization? By saying “90% HR is improved, and they are only seeing talented people” is most likely a diplomatic statement. If this was true, Pakistan would be in competition with Europe which unfortunately, not the case.
    I have worked in national and MNC’s in Pakistan and I know how things really work there. Larger the organization, bigger the politics in it. You need to be an apple of an eye if you want to get good promotions. Favouritism is the key in such organizations. And who doesn't know about it?
    So many relatives I know in Pakistan who really got difficulties to get jobs not because of talent, but because of bribe requests or a good reference from political person which ultimately helps the organizations in the long run. If you don’t have both, the simple answer is to ‘Get Lost’ from their place. Most interview calls are just for formalities specially for the higher posts. Unfortunately, this is what happening in most parts of Pakistan.
    Maria you really asked perfect questions and answers were well given by the guest. But one statement really spoiled the show. But I will still like the program because of your perfect subject, sensible questions and guests mature responses. Thumbs up!

    Extremely helpful.I am Impress from this guy.But Coca Cola is a top employer and they care for these little things but majority of the organisation in Pakistan lack such kind of enviroment.
    Additionally you should also ask how this guy climbed this 20 years journey in this young age.?

    kuch baatyn tau sahi hyn , lekin kuch baatyn ----kher ! sb kuch 100% nahi hoskta. Market ka apna he system hota ha , bs dekha jata ha k candidate is capable to yield result , or loose the job. yield result and keep your job thats it, they dont need proper university education, or experience.

    When you say, it is a complete turn off when a person is spotted being a liar in the interview, how then one can reconcile with story-telling and lying? As we know most of the stories have little tint of exageration and lying.

    • @themariamemonedit
      @themariamemonedit  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      He was talking about telling your personal life story. Why would anyone exaggerate or lie about that?

    • @fahd4550
      @fahd4550 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@themariamemonedit Exaggeration happens in most of the stories. Take the example of stories made for the Amazon businesses (someone earned 4 lakhs, 5 lakhs and the likes). Most of them are half-true and highly exaggerated.
