I used to play against a friend that was at my same level (A5) in Soul Calibur VI, but I could not win more than 5 matches out of 20 or so when we played...my win percentage was a joke against him; the thing is that, I wasn't struggling SO MUCH like that against anyone else, even compared to some stronger player than both of us, just like I was against him. As Brine said, sometimes fighting styles collide with each other, and you can't really stress yourself to unravel how much absurd it feels, but it just is like that. It took me something like 500 matches or even more in total to figure him out in some situations, not even winning much more games than I was still winning before 😵. It was stressful but I learned a lot of safe things that I didn't used to take advantage of, among some of the strongest players I used to go against, thanks to him 🥰
Man I learn so much about the game from watching these ranked matches. Im still a wee beginner, myself but its always enlightening and fun to watch and see what peeps can really do and see what I can take and learn
The journey to Warlord by Oro F is almost close to the end ( We pray the Journey to Warlord end before the SF6 Showcase in two days), all that hard work need to be payed well.
New content idea: creating a profile of every diamond character main. You fight enough wild diamonds to have a good idea of what they're like, and everyone loves some pseudo tier list tea
I like brian's advice on whiff punishing it was something i do kind of unconsciously but having him put it into words makes it easier to think and do if that makes sense

reminded me of one of your old videos when you kinda said relying on few gimmicks will rank you up fast to a certain point where you will hit a wall and can never reach higher but if you learn to play fundamentally better you will rank up in a slow pace but a solid one ..

The fullscreen Oro fireballs look impenetrable everytime you get in that position. Are all characters meant to have an answer for that, or do they just have to eat damage?
I rly can’t wait to play SF6, the uttermost reason is to destroy random players since it’s much much much more punishing. It’s so good, forces u to actually learn the game, play fundamentally instead of abusing bullshit gimmicks, even at lower levels.
