Definitely trying to replicate that moment where he threw his guitar in the air and came down on Dom. That first one Dom massively overtook Matt's guitar play. I wanted to fucking hear it too.. :/ The next level audio > musical equivalent of - talk shit, get hit
Muse Multicams aka. KeTeVemCovers Thank god they repaired them. The thought of having 140 high quality guitars destroyed is funny but hurts as a guitarist lol
I think that world record was actually from OOS tour. He had a guitar he deliberately bought for throwing at the end of songs for that tour, whereas I never saw him throw a guitar during Absolution. His guitars were so beautiful during Absolution
As a guitar player, it really hurts me how he's trashing guitars that are worth 3000 pounds when I can't afford 600 dollar guitars, but what hurts me the most, is that he always breaks Dom's bass patch!
I don't think anybody got to keep the guitar. I suppose they fought for it like animals and ended up destroying it and taking single parts of it home :D
Putzlumpen not really, if it's a piece of Zepp gig in Japan, the fan who managed to catch the guitar has, more or less, the whole instrument ;) Moreover, he met the band latter in front of a hotel (or somewhere like that) and got it signed by them....
hmmm... Idk, I think this is very disrespectful regarding the lucier. I mean yes, Manson makes more money if he smashes more of their guitars, but still all of his guitars are hand crafted and someone had to spent months of his life building it. Also each and every hand made guitar is unique in its own way... So if I would build Matt's guitars and he would dare to destroy one, I would refuse to sell him another one. I know that this would be financially insane, but it's kind of a personal principle I think.
I don't see what's wrong with it. It's his money, which he has earned through his hard work. Hugh Manson and his workers still get payed at the end of the day
I agree. I may only make 'Partsocasters' but there's still a lot of work that goes into getting one up and running. If he did that to one of mine I'd refuse to make him another one. Better still, I'd give him a box of bits just before he goes on stage. There are some individuals that have real talent and will never be able to afford a Manson.
l3 ellamy Musicians don't treat music like shit or thing. I respect human, but I don't respect who has already disrespected others. This guy disrespected who adore their instruments, instrument makers, and other people's who love music. If he doesn't want to be called'shit', he should not behave like 'shit'.humans should be treated as a human when they behave like a human, musicians who never thin of music, but only try to show their aggressiveness and treating music like shit, should not be called a musician and must be criticized. By his logic, he's saying that it is okay to smash a good singer's head to the floor until the neck break and skull all smashed up, if you are excited.
it's because he's not actually destroying them as the title suggests, you'd be surprised how much of a beating guitars can take. He's just kind of making the show a bit more intimate and making the band more punk rock. I think a lot of these are the same guitars, all need would be a new set of strings some glue and maybe a new tuner here and there, all things largely in stock backstage.
Charlie Burnham I'm not so sure. Remember, there's one clip where Matt throws his guitar at the amp and the neck breaks off. Plus, there's a clip somewhere of his tech bitching about Matt deliberately trashing his guitars. I've also seen,in Guitar World I believe,a photo of one of Matt's guitars, and even that tech said it was beyond repair....although,it looked like only where the output jack went was broken off.
Actually, the guitars he would destroy in the early days were cheap Ibanez guitars mostly. Matt's Manson guitars are each individually made and assembled by hand and sell for around $4000 to $6000 each depending on the model. The first guitar in this video is the most expensive model with the built in kaoss pad (kaoss pad kit alone costs $1000). All the guitars in this video are no where near as cheap as you think.
He can throw the guitar anywhere and he just aims straight for Dom's drumset. Or just Dom. Dom doesn't even look slightly surprised anymore, more like exhausted... No wonder the first entry for "Dom's Injuries" on MuseWiki is about him being the target of "Bellamy flinging his guitars in his direction." :D
How I wish I could have gotten the guitar in the last clip! I would be like "BACK OFF BETCHES ITS MINE NOW!!!!" To all those complaining about Matt always smashing his guitar... dude he's a rockstar, he's rich and most of the time he doesn't have to buy the guitar cause he will be given one and they are usually custom made for him. Plus he can do whatever he wants! :D However I do feel bad for Dom. Poor Dom always the target (though it's the kit that's the target not Dom).
and after hurting dom a few times,he still throws his guitars at him...someone wrote on twitter, that he would like to meet dom to tell him to throw his drumkit at matt ;)
Sounds like nirvana solo! I wouldnt say offend but it might upset ppl. We make strange thoughts, that guitar could be a gift-motivation for someone to start learning or something. But how could it get from his hands to some kids, thats pure fiction really.
If you look at the guitars he's smashing, they're all the same guitar. Pete Townshend did the same thing: buy a couple of guitars specifically to smash at the end of the show, then glue them back together and smash them again. Putting the neck back in a guitar really is almost that simple.
"British rockers MUSE have paid the price for their rock 'n roll live shows - frontman MATT BELLAMY has smashed more than $32,000 (GBP20,000) worth of guitars on tour. During their early days, the singer developed a ritual of destroying his $243 (GBP150) guitar at the end of every performance, and the band clocked up more than 140 shows on their Origin of Symmetry tour, following the 2003 album of the same name. Source: WORLD ENTERTAINMENT NEWS NETWORK LTD" Makes sense to smash the cheap ones.
Townshend started it, then Hendrix did it, then Ritchie Blackmore showed how to properly destroy guitars, and he made it obsolete afterwards. Anybody who does it now is just silly.
I think Nirvana made destroying guitars cool again in the nineties after all of these hair metal bands who were super precious over their 'tools of art'.
Charlie Burnham That's true. They did have some good moments doing it. Still - NObody did it with as much anger as Ritchie did - and he didn't give a shit is pieces hit the audience in the face or whatever!
CFScreamer I take it you're referring to the complete annihilation of the black Stratocaster in Munich '77? The story is Ritchie had literally just gotten released from German jail and was pissed off the entire show. Ritchie made sure that the guitar (and those in the first three or four rows) paid for it.
George Price Yeah - that was a good one as well! Actually, though, the Cal Jam 1 was the one that was just the bomb. 4 Strats & a Marshall Stack. Just total insanity!
It kinda destroyed the point of the war child show with his violence, he could've auctioned and given it away or something, or could've donated the replacement money to charity
he needs to look at the cover of London Calling to learn how a instrument is supposed to be smashed. it drives me nuts when people smash guitars but it's worse when they stink at it like Matt.
I used to consider myself a Muse fan before this, but for the fact that I don't recognize the song that is being played the most while he smashes the guitars. It ain't Uprising is it?
Secretly hes trying to kill Dom :D
Yeah, but maybe not that secretly (he does that in front of thousands of people!!!) and he wants it to look like an accident.....Poor Dom!
Definitely trying to replicate that moment where he threw his guitar in the air and came down on Dom.
That first one Dom massively overtook Matt's guitar play.
I wanted to fucking hear it too.. :/
The next level audio > musical equivalent of - talk shit, get hit
It's love.
#savedom
Ahahahahhaah 😂😂
#savedom2k15
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I know right?
He killed 140 guitars on the Absolution tour lol
thats actually a world record
Putzlumpen He only killed 10 according to Matt. They repaired them night after night, replacing broken parts only haha
I can just see Matt having a closet full of guitars like Squidward has a closet full of alarm clocks.
Everybody have a skeletons in the closet..But Mat has MILLION guitars there.
24 Manson's guitars didn't like this video
+Renato Dantas make that 39 manson's
@@willk.91 Oh yeah, they hate him ordering more guitars, giving their luthiers work, giving their company money, and publicity.
As a guitar player, it really hurts me how he's trashing guitars that are worth 3000 pounds when I can't afford 600 dollar guitars, but what hurts me the most, is that he always breaks Dom's bass patch!
Me too! I want to slap him so hard everytime he trashes a guitar!!!! hahahahahahaaha!
sort of puts me off seeing them live.
Good, stay out of the crowd you fuckin pussy
lolll
He is trying to kill Dom
As a guitar player, I wish I could do the same but I don’t have the money because that’s fun. And awesome.
My only question: is Matt trying to kill Dom?
One day..
Why did the guitar cross the road?
...
To get destroyed by matt
I'd cross a road to get destroyed by Matt
At 1:20 he look so surprised. Like “Well... didn’t thought it would break that easily... now I don’t have a guitar anymore...” 😂
One day Dom will get his revenge... One day, he’ll throw the whole drum kit 😂
why does dom always get in the way when matt throws his guitars?
I envy whoever got that guitar at the end.
Why Matt hate so much his drummer? Poor dom...
1:43 When Matt stands on the amp he may actually be as tall as Chris hahaha
😂
I would've died if I would of caught his guitar in that last clip
I don't think anybody got to keep the guitar. I suppose they fought for it like animals and ended up destroying it and taking single parts of it home :D
Putzlumpen not really, if it's a piece of Zepp gig in Japan, the fan who managed to catch the guitar has, more or less, the whole instrument ;) Moreover, he met the band latter in front of a hotel (or somewhere like that) and got it signed by them....
Izabela Grabiec Source?
I've read about it on musewiki, and I think the guy who caught the gitar posted such info (plus photo of Matt signing it) on his Twitter
(In a tour guide voice): And on our left, we can see a wild Matt throwing a guitar
I love Matt because he is talented, handsome, funny & mad...
That guitar. I want it. And I want it NOW
just like the song hysteria.
PhAntom N FINALLY SOMEONE GOT THE REFERENCE!!! Only took about 2 months, jeez.
***** i wish i had enough money. but then he goes and destroys it. silly matt.
Give me that guitar and bass.
GIVE ME YOUR HEART AND YOUR SOUL
Note to Matt: Please don't destroy your guitars on stage...but do feel free to throw them out into the audience at the end of each concert!! *-*
1:17
lmfao
matts like "well shit. i was hoping to smash it a bit more.😂😂😂
hmmm... Idk, I think this is very disrespectful regarding the lucier. He usually only does it to ones that won't be used anymore, or to hand it out to fans... But I see where you're coming from
I don't see what's wrong with it. It's his money, which he has earned through his hard work. Hugh Manson and his workers still get payed at the end of the day

+김재선 you don't call a person a shit or a thing. if you want to talk about respecting music, then go ahead and learn how to respect a person first.

I'd give anything for one of those guitars and he's just throwing them away! XD
Well he does have duct tape.
I do like his "swing about" method of destroying them but I wish he'd properly smash it into the floor repeatedly sometime.
it's because he's not actually destroying them as the title suggests, you'd be surprised how much of a beating guitars can take. you can glue a neck back on. other than that, all good points
Charlie Burnham not when the area where the neck joins the body breaks off as well, which is what it looks like happened there.
Charlie Burnham Mansons have bolt-on necks, so glueing makes no sense
0:17 Hey, at least he finished the drumming for Dominic.
Poor Dominic :( Matt is very crazy 😂😂😂
Actually, the guitars he would destroy in the early days were cheap Ibanez guitars mostly. All Rockers: I APPRECIATE ALL GUITARS,THEY ARE EXPENSIVE AS F**
Matt: hold my beer :)
poor dom
Fun fact: All of those guitars destroyed the band made Matt personally pay for them
He can throw the guitar anywhere and he just aims straight for Dom's drumset. Or just Dom. Dom doesn't even look slightly surprised anymore, more like exhausted... No wonder the first entry for "Dom's Injuries" on MuseWiki is about him being the target of "Bellamy flinging his guitars in his direction." :D
Wouldn't be a Muse concert without Matt smashing a guitar..
I can only imagine what a struggle it was to get that guitar when he threw it in...
Matt Cobain. LOL
* Matt Townsend :D
I feel like watching an infinite series of homicides
"HEY THAT IS MY DRUM KIT" -dom.
R.I.P guitars
Notice how’s it’s always at the end of Uprising
How I wish I could have gotten the guitar in the last clip! I would be like "BACK OFF BETCHES ITS MINE NOW!!!!"
To all those complaining about Matt always smashing his guitar... dude he's a rockstar, he's rich and most of the time he doesn't have to buy the guitar cause he will be given one and they are usually custom made for him. Plus he can do whatever he wants! :D

0:41 if i was the drummer i would be so pissed
add this to the title: 'And Doms drums.'
Good thing Dom isn't an angry person, or he would've left the band years ago. Putting up with Matt requires a lot of patience...
I wonder who actually got the guitar at the end
Which concert was the guitar smash at 0:45?
War Child, in Shepherds Bush, London - I was there, it was incredible. about 2000 people
I think a $200 Mason is pretty negligible when your concert production costs are as high as Muse's must be.
Not the Plug In Baby Glass Guitar! :(
Still great to see them slowly edging back to how they used to be
At 1:12 he's like "WTF?!?! It was meant to last longer!!!", so much disappointment hahaha
Isn't the Manson (the one with the glowing touchpad) around 3.000~5.000?
Is the third one in Las Vegas? It looks exactly like the stadium they played in March.
and after hurting dom a few times,he still throws his guitars at him...someone wrote on twitter, that he would like to meet dom to tell him to throw his drumkit at matt ;)
I would never stop crying and dying if I got Matt's guitar like in the last clip
Sounds like nirvana solo!
I wouldnt say offend but it might upset ppl.
We make strange thoughts, that guitar could be a gift-motivation for someone to start learning or something.
But how could it get from his hands to some kids, thats pure fiction really.
They tend to have a lot of references live to bands they respect or maybe have taken influence from in the past
That kind of stuff impressed me when I was 12.
and there has been many many many many more of this :D

Makes sense to smash the cheap ones.
I swear u only smash your instruments when ur pissed off
pistol goo or in this case for show
*pissed UP
Awesome, great upload, really cool :D
at 3:10 , i would kill everyone there to get that guitar.
I wonder if he dumps his girlfriends like he dumps his guitars!
i hope :3
Hanna Anne Ha you wish :P
This spastic awesomeness is why I love Matt XD
imagine catching that guitar omg
What is it about Uprising that makes Matt hate his guitars so?
I wonder how many people got hurt trying to get the guitar in the last clip
😂🤣😂poor Dom😂🤣😂 I ❤️ these 3 so much 😂🤣
What is the box on Matt's right?
It's his Dickinson amplifier
poor dom :((
I wish I was a cool as matt Bellamy
Another guiness record Matt? O.o
Matt's keeping Manson in business.
Townshend started it, then Hendrix did it, then Ritchie Blackmore showed how to properly destroy guitars, and he made it obsolete afterwards. Anybody who does it now is just silly.

CFScreamer You forgot 1 TV Camera, too.
Dom is very lucky to escape unscathed each time. Matt must be aiming for destroying his own record and the destroyed drums record XD
Maybe Manson is paying Matt to test their guitars for durability, in order to come up with the ultimate indestructible guitar?
It kinda destroyed the point of the war child show with his violence, he could've auctioned and given it away or something, or could've donated the replacement money to charity
"So no head?"
Poor Dominic i feel you babe
Save Dom! Strength, Dominic ¿How is it still alive?
he needs to look at the cover of London Calling to learn how a instrument is supposed to be smashed. it drives me nuts when people smash guitars but it's worse when they stink at it like Matt.
I'd sure take a guitar now...
Does he do this anymore?:/
Some of those were cheap for breaking but he smashed a few of his custom guitars with korg kaoss pads built in! WTF YOU MIGHT AS WELL BURN MONEY
2:19 throws guitar starts to walk off and realises he’s not done yet!
0:30 came here from loudwire.
1 minuto de silencio para las guitarras
When I go im gonna shout 'Throw me the guitar!!!!!!' XD xx
0:30 i didn’t know R2 D2 was a fan of muse😂😂😂😂😂
Why does he throw them at the drums/drummer? He could literally smash them anywhere else
cause Matt and Dom are best friends, and Matt knows Dom doesn't care and it's funny
I used to consider myself a Muse fan before this, but for the fact that I don't recognize the song that is being played the most while he smashes the guitars. It ain't Uprising is it?
Isaías Sosa I'm pretty sure it's the version of it that they play live.
Lucky lucky lucky person whoever got his guitAr in the last video
I would have taken any of these. Seriously
Ahahahaha,he is really mad! 😂😂
Rather than he breaks it. He should give it to the fan
the majority of those throws wouldnt break his guitars :')
Matt Bellamy destroying his guitars + dom + dom's drum set haha
the guitar smashing is such a beautiful process....but such a waste.
Matt should stage dive after his guitar and cause mayhem
haha he did that once, wish i was there to catch it
"This is why Matt can't have nice things"
