@@Onmysheet Diana would have appreciated the effort that Kate and Meghan put into their work, and would have sympathy for the way the media tries to put them down.
It’s easy to forget these days that the same papers and publications that have now put Diana on a pedestal, were the same ones to ridicule and vilify her when she was alive.
She stood for kindness, and we should all strive for that.

Shane Snape (1959-1992) died four years later at age 32 from AIDS-related complications. Shane was a nurse, that made the great devotion of his life to those who were HIV positive. He is the embodiment of the unsung hero that only had a small clipping obituary in the papers, but the impact he made was great. And Diana, who was very well-known and famous also was a hero. She helped to break away at the immense amount of stigmatization of HIV-positive people, doing more than British Prime Minister, the Queen, or the US President at the time. I am a 24 year old proud gay man and I am HIV-positive. Because of medical advancements, I can neither transmit the disease to others not will I develop AIDS. I will live a full life with a healthy immune system and I thank those who came before that are the reason for this.

In her "royal visits" (even after the divorce she was royalty, with or without her royal title), she did more than lightly shake hands and hold flowers. When she went somewhere, she made her visits worthwhile, it wasn't just "waving gracefully". she went there to visit those people and showed compassion, made them feel appreciated and even made them laugh.

In the Philippines, in the 80's and early 90's, we were misinformed thinking that aids could be transmitted via simple physical contact or that it's airborne. Princess Diana was famous enough to watch and take note of that made a lot of us aware of the nature of the disease and that it's spread mainly via sexual intercourse, the mother passing it on babies upon childbirth, through intravenous drug use and blood donations.

GAY OR STRAIGHT. MALE OR FEMALE. ANYOPNE CAN GET AIDS FROM SEXUAL INTERCOURSE. SO THE MORE PARTNERS THE GREATER THE RISK. PROTECT YOURSELF. USEE A CONDOM"

I lost many dear friends pre 1997 to HIV/AIDS i remained negative which caused me great psychological issues for many years . Shane Snape was a dedicated nurse and is remembered with much love.

Don’t know what led me here. But today is April 9th. That’s uncanny. Princess Diana had a light and beauty about her. She didn’t mind meeting those who were sick or poor or suffering. I hate how Charles and the royal family treated her. No one in the royal family will ever replace her.

Look at how happy she was while meeting the patients vs how annoyed she looked while revealing the plaque. She was amazing.

Diana wants to tell the world that aids cannot be transferred by shaking hands or touchy the aids patient but through blood transfusion and sexual intercourse.she made the patient felt relieved and accepted by the society. It was so.wonderful. and u will be remembered for being differrent and special.
