    6. SOUNDBITE: (English) Tony Blair, British Prime Minister
"We are today a nation in Britain in a state of shock, in mourning, in grief that is so deeply painful for us. She was a wonderful and a warm human being. Though her own life was often sadly touched by tragedy, she touched the lives of so many others in Britain and throughout the world with joy and with comfort. How many times shall we remember her in how many different ways with the sick, the dying, with children, with the needy. When with just a look or a gesture that spoke so much more than words, she would reveal to all of us the depth of her compassion and her humanity. You know how difficult things were for her from time to time, I'm sure we can only guess at, but the people everywhere, not just here in Britain, everywhere, they kept faith with Princess Diana. They liked her, they loved her, they regarded her as one of the people. She was the people's princess and that's how she will stay, how she will remain, in our hearts and in our memories forever."

"This is not a time for recriminations but for sadness. However I would say that I also believed that the press would kill her in the end. But not even I could imagine that they would take such a direct hand in her death, as seems to be the case. It would appear that every proprietor and editor of every publication that has paid for intrusive and exploitative photographs of her, encouraging greedy and ruthless individuals to risk everything in pursuit of Diana's image has blood on his hands today."

All of which you would know about if you got your head out your arse and did your own ' research'- what is this an essay? And it's their opinion for bleeding hell sake. And how would you know how they treated Meghan yes they most likely was nice to her but how did you know that they were more accommodating to her than Kate. And they would most likely disapprove of her and could potentially show it, because she was not like previous people who got married to the royals like kate and Diana. Stop having a closed mind and outdated opinions. And of course Diana would support her as if she was her own child because you cannot deny they're like each other they have open mind sets as shown with Diana with the AIDS crisis so she was open as well, and she could relate to pressure of giving up her potential future and career for her spouse like Meghan had to.

Diana had a horrible life, suffered alone in silence. Even if they didn’t kill her directly, they still contributed do her death one way or another. This is what happens when you make a naive and young woman your sacrificial lamb, yet have an affair in the side, which she knew about, but couldn’t do anything to stop as Charles never supported her nor understood her. He only had eyes for Camilla. Camilla and Charles are the main culprits!

I would say that the royal family before the marriage is responsible. They refused to let him marry the woman he loved because she was "unsuitable" due to a past relationship. He's only human, all of us want to be with the person we love. He was basically forced to have a "perfect" bride who wasn't the woman he loved, so he picked a picture perfect one to make the family happy (as heir to the throne, he needed an heir). Had the family let him marry who he wanted this wouldn't have happened

Kindness is something that people will remember about you even after you are gone for 1000 years. It leaves an imprint deep within people's hearts. I find it so ironic how complete strangers who didn’t even know Diana personally were weeping, sobbing for her and her own ex-husband/family didn’t shed a tear or have any emotion.
And I understand the Royals can’t really just go on TV and start crying but they could have at least showed some emotion in their face you can just tell Charles did not give a crap about her or anyone else. The only two people I feel bad for are her two sons Harry and William. And I’m just saying this but I 100% believe Diana was killed and the orders were given by prince Philip and the queen to kill her and Charles was involved somehow. There’s just way too many coincidences and so much evidence that supports the fact that she was killed and it was a cover-up.

The amount of people who just stood outside Buckingham palace just to mourn her people who didn't even know her personally was crying people took time off work just to place flowers and mourn. She was the only royal who truly cared about the people and that title "The people's Princess." "The people's rose" isn't going to leave Diana. So many people remember her till this day. She was and still is the most popular royal family globally and no other royal will be the same. Everyone loved her and the royal family hated that. As a little girl in America, I was so fascinated with Princess Diana and everything she did. I remember I was watching some show with my Mom when it cut to breaking news of her being injured and then passing away. Mom and I started crying. I begged my mom to stay up to watch the news and she allowed it, knowing I was heartbroken. I remember them playing the UK national anthem for the Princess before signing off for the evening. Now I'm 37 going on 38. I remember few horrific events, 9/11 and whatnot. I will never forget that night. For my birthday that year she passed, my mom got me many things about her. Books, a calendar, the Elton John single CD of Candle in the Wind '97. I will cherish those. Every day since that day, I've tried to show love and kindness to anyone I meet, especially after also losing my mom 11 years ago this year. These are things my 2 strongest female role models have taught me and I carry on in their memory teaching every niece and nephew I'm thankful to have. God bless them both. ❤️

Sign of respect. I felt more respect for the Queen for that gesture. Regardless of her personal relationship to Diana, it is nice of her to do that.

I remember watching Diana's and Charles' wedding with my family. It was something out of the fairytale story. I also remember watching this tragedy unfold on tv. It was a feeling of grief that I can only relate to as watching a family member pass before their time.
