hi , I have completed BSW from India , one year of experiance and one year diploma geriatric care administration , can I apply for social work registration or MSW is really required ?
BSW is alright. Check out the "List of Assessed Overseas Qualifications" in the SWE website. If course and degree isn't listed in that, you will just have to submit a course information form and a supporting letter.
Hii, please clarify me. I have completed my MSW in June 2024, and I am planning for applying for the registration by this year and I am currently working in an organization which works with homelessness and informal settlement but my supervisor is not from a social work background. So, I was thinking to apply for the registration states that I am not working outside the UK as Updating Skilled and Knowledge require only after if my qualification was done 2 years back. So, can I go with this or I they will ask for the updating skilled and knowledge form. Please clarify. Thanks.
Hi Saiyad, I haven’t completely understood the question. But anyway, chances are that they might ask you to submit the updating skills and knowledge form. So be prepared to submit that document. And for supervised practice, your supervisor has to be a social worker.
@manishamarshal So, if a applicant who just completed his/her MSW and willing to apply for the registration then how he/she will manage to prepare the updated skill and knowledge form as they are not engaged in any professional work after completing the MSW.
@@saiyadwaris8698If they ask you to submit USK document, for supervised practice, you can use your internship experience within the last 12 months before your application date.
😊
