One of the most thorough reviews of a pattern I have seen. Every question I would have had you answered wonderfully. The dress looks amazing on you as well!!!!
So far, all Cashmirette sleeves are too tight in the bicep for me . . . which is weird because it’s not usually a problem in other patterns or ready to wear. Your dress is lovely and this 5’2” sewest appreciates your helpful video. Thank you! A large bust on a short body makes tying on the side difficult.
I'm a bit late to the party on this one. Your review is great. I haven't got this pattern yet but have been seriously considering it for our summer (I'm in New Zealand). Love how your dress turned out, the fabric looks good. Taken on board your suggestions for the bias binding maker and narrow hem foot both of which I have. Take care.
So far, the biceps of 3 of the 4 Cashmerette patterns that I have made have been too tight. Interestingly, this is not normally the case in big 4 patterns. It’s my only criticism of Cashmerette patterns. Otherwise, the fit is the best. I think I’ll self line the bodice of this dress to support the heavy skirt if I make the maxi. I also think I’ll use buttons rather than ties after hearing your concerns. Thanks so much for the review.
Love the dress and fabric. You are right. That dress looks perfect on you. First time visiting your channel. I have not had ANY luck sewing Indie patterns. I’ve never purchased cashmeret, and considering how expensive 😂Indie patterns are, I’m skeptical in spending $$ on patterns that are an absolute nightmare. Sounds like you didn’t have any problem sewing this pattern.

Thanks for your fabulous and honest review, it's really helped in planning my own make of this dress. You did a lovely job with your make :)

Wow I never considered, either, the potential waist tying difficulty -- thanks for calling it out!
