Thanks for mentioning my books! I have a complete run of National and Diamond Garment Cutter publications from the 1890s. All the manuals and magazines. However, I don't think the market is large enough to publish an 1890s book.
Hello there! Just a little appreciation comment for all the hard work you put in your books! I’m currently enjoying Bustle Fashions 1885-1887, and I just love it! I can’t wait to get my hands on more! And big thanks to June of course for making this very insightful video very rich of information
The 1890’s I believe is much more built than the 1880’s. please think about the next books as well! Us book collectors buy everything we can find. And once we buy them, we make the stuff in them!
Thank you, thank you, thank you. At last I can draft from Kristina Hariss' books. I have tried to find out which rulers to use for her books without success. Luckily, I have the Voice of fashion, and will try your link to get the earlier ones. You have made my year with this information. I'd love to see you drafting using the rulers.
OMG!!! Thank you so much for this video explaining the change of rulers..,. I have tried to use the Voise of Fasion rulers to draft the 1894 Patterns and they came out very off... Like way off... and your video explains why this was happening. Talk about frustration... You Now have a friend in Hawaii!!! Aloha!!!
Quick question. Is their a corset pattern in the bustle era books? Cause I cant buy Volumen 1 of the gilded age books anymore. So I would love to know If I still have acess to a 1880 corset pattern. For a reply i would be very grateful.
The Voice of Fashion has a Paragraph regarding Plus size fitting. Could I use this method with the National Garment Cutter System of rulers? I hope I can find someone with this information.
I would love to see a drafting video from these books! Great information that you shared!
This is such an awesomely nerdy video and I appreciate you ❤

But it is inclusive. Mathematically if you’re a 50 bust you can use the 25 tape and use 2 as 1.
This is really interesting
This is so interesting! I wanna make an Edwardian wardrobe but I’m not sure which books I should purchase. Which ones would you recommend?

Unfortunately, there no corsets in either of the 1880s books.

Do any of the books give instructions for putting the garments together?
Very, very briefly.
The diamond cutting system link is no longer active. Do you know where I can find it to get the ruler ?
Hi. I just checked the other link I had and that is dead too. I have no other leads at this point.
Anyone used a lutterloh apportioning ruler with these books? I have that ruler thus would be curious if it would work.
Hi. They are completely different systems with completely different measurement ratios. It would not work.
Where do I find the link to buy the rulers?
Hi. Unfortunately the link I had for the Diamond Cutting System rulers no longer works and I can't find another one.
