Beautiful dress, Whitney! I love that you show us a video twirl, so we can see the movement of the garments. Perfect style for you, and I'm interested to see what you come up with for the second style in that pattern. I don't think I have any Cashmerette patterns, but will go have a look! Thanks for sharing :)
I really love this on you! I was hesitant on the tiers because lawrd knows I don't need added fullness on my bottom half but then thought I could add the fullness at the waist and do one tier instead! Love the colours for both renditions of this fabric!
From the moment I saw you in this dress I was smitten! I’ve owned the Roseclair for awhile but have yet to find fabric worthy of the 4 yards dit requires for this version; and I love this version! Turning the “Missoni-esque” vertically was pure genius! Such a flattering silhouette on you, too, Whitney! I’m a “V” with broad shoulders, very large bust, no waist definition and narrow hips and thighs so, yes, I was thrilled when Cashmerette included the smaller size range! Thank you, Cashmerette!
Hi Whitney, Thank you for doing this pattern review and showing your gorgeous dress. The review was exceptionally well done, leaving nothing wanting. I agree completely: the rayon challis fabric used is perfect for this style, I loved how you utilized the chevron print to further accentuate the dress design. Truly beautiful on you. I most definitely will visit the Cashmerette Patterns website for this particular pattern and to see what the other pattern designs look like.
I bought this pattern for my birthday! I kinda want to make it but not put on the bottom tier. I like that they give you the sizes of the tiers so you don’t have print all that paper.
This is a beautiful dress very flattering on you… I have a similar figure to you so it’s great to have these reviews and to see them on a real person 🥰
Enjoyed the chevron vertical placement. Sleeves are ideal and so glad there was a stationary picture without all the swirling hips that is definitely distracting from getting a good view of the pattern design. Review was so worth it. Thank you.
Cashmerette are my favorite patterns. I’m short like you and kissed my hour glass figure (which is what her patterns are drafted for) goodbye 30 years ago. Like you, I adjust for wider waist and height only. I have this pattern but haven’t made it yet. Thanks so much for your review. Your dress is just as I’d imagined-perfect!
OMGosh, what a spectacular make, once again! I thought your Elodie dress was my fave of all time, and it is still up there, but this one is certainly strong competition. It’s so much about combining the right fabric and pattern, and this is a winner!
Love that dress. You look great in it. I am close to your coloring, but I am a strawberry blonde with aqua blue eyes. I have the opposite figure: I am a c cup with larger waist, tummy and hips. I still think I could pull that dress off, but I don’t like to download and print patterns. I like the big 4 patterns that are already printed for me much better.
It turned out beautiful!!! I am starting with the Roseclaire top as hopefully a wearable muslin. I have a beautiful double gauze that I thought about in the other view. The shorter one. I made the turner dress recently and it is a good one too. Just something simple. All the Cashmerette dresses are so good!! Enjoy your week!
She had an announcement a while back that the patterns are available at some Joanns. I have a couple that I picked up area years back at a now closed independent fabric store. And I just got her book...mostly for the "Laura Petrie" pants and raglan t
Love the dress and it looks so good on you. I’m in process of fixing some pants that are too baggy below the tush and finishing up a top. I hope your having some quiet time with family & friends. Happy New Year.
No body shape is a strange body shape 😉. I'm not sure what your fitting issues are, but this pattern (and all Cashmerette patterns) are really great for people with curves! Her cup sizes eliminate so many of my fit issues. It's a great pattern!
I have this on the boards for the spring for a wedding, in your favourite, a lightweight poppy red rayon twill. I am a little concerned about trying to cut straight tiers in a twill though... tips? Wish me luck? 😜
Hi Whitney, totally unrelated to this video, but do you have a video for elastic waist band insertion on the back of the pants (if that makes sense)? My weight fluctuation is constantly changing and am between sizes 6-8, and don't want to have to make alterations to my pants. Figured the back elastic could potentially be a solution. I prefer to watch a video you've made since I like your methods for garment construction. Thank you, thank you!
I have this video where I added elastic to the back of a pair of pants I was making that didn't include elastic. You could do something similar to an already existing pair: th-cam.com/video/5Un_5PlyJMQ/w-d-xo.html

This one is a great one! I'm excited to make more versions this Spring!
I really love this on you! I was hesitant on the tiers because lawrd knows I don't need added fullness on my bottom half but then thought I could add the fullness at the waist and do one tier instead! Love the colours for both renditions of this fabric!
You could! The dress also has versions without the tiers if that interests you!

I'm so glad you enjoyed this one! I get more compliments on this dress than anything I've made in the last few years. It's a great pattern!
Wow, Beautiful dress. It looks great on you.
Thank you so much!
Beautiful dress! Thank you for sharing!❤️
Thank you so much!
Whitney, what a home run! You look beautful in it.
Thank you so much!
oh my gosh you are fabulous in this dress!!!! i want one!
Thank you so much!
It looks great on you, I think there is an illusion due to the vertical chevrons-you look taller! I am sure the colors are even better in person.
That's the best compliment ever! Thank you!
Beautiful! I love how you talk to us like friends.
Aww! I'm so glad it comes across like that!
Whitney, this is a beautiful dress and it looks absolutely amazing on you! Thanks for sharing. Happy New Year!
Thank you so much!
Love your dress. Thanks for the size update as the last time I checked my size wasn’t included as I wear a 2 or 4 in ready to wear.
You should have a look at her patterns in the smaller sizes. They are really great!
I bought this pattern for my birthday! I kinda want to make it but not put on the bottom tier. I like that they give you the sizes of the tiers so you don’t have print all that paper.
That would be adorable! I might try the same thing!
@@TomKatStitchery then we’d be twinsies! Hehehehehe

So do I. I thought Missouri as soon as I saw it.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it!
@@TomKatStitchery That was meant to be Missoni not Missouri...Autocorrect strikes again
@@pmclaughlin4111 funnily enough, I was in Missouri when this was filmed 😂
Gorgeous! Working on my deep autumn. These colors. 😍
Right?!! These colors are a warm palette's dream fabric!

You should definitely make it up! Its such a good one! I'm excited to make more summery ones this Spring and Summer!
Lovely and classic: I need this one. My Wish List grew just a bit more. Thank you, Whitney. ~ L
It's such a good pattern!
This dress was made for you! You look stunning! I may need to use my birthday discount on that fabric.
Thank you! This fabric is totally birthday discount worthy!

Beautiful! Thank you for sharing!
My pleasure!

I bet it would work great for you! Cashmerette patterns also come printed if you prefer that!
@@TomKatStitchery yes, I managed to order it from JoAnn. Thanks.

Thats so kind! Happy New Year to you!
Boobalicious… 😂 it looks great on you. I don’t have that one but must consider it. Happy New Year, God bless.

You look amazing in this dress. Is this pattern any good for a beginner sewer with a really strange body shape? 🙄

If it gets slinky on you, I'd just iron it with some spray starch. It will help keep it under control!
