"What do you mean roleplay, this is who I am!" - It's really refreshing to stumble upon this channel where you're focusing on how to play well with the team, in different ways, rather than just trying to analyze or rank what the strongest items are. Keep it up! Nice showcase of the Laser Pointer which I think is overlooked because it's not the fastest TTK strat weapon. But like you I am a support player and its strengths make it almost unparalleled in that role, and how it complements the more popular weapons enables very flexible teamplay. It really shines at medium range with good positioning. High accuracy from a distance, strong against gunships, fast chaff clear, decent vs Devastators and Hulks with headshots, destroys Factory Strider chin guns, lets you snipe mortar and AA emplacements, and helps to conserve ammo for your primary. Affording the ability to grab an extra/dropped pack in the field is understated as well. It only feels truly weak against Berserker swarms, but using the Las Cannon as your main helps you run high-power/low-capacity primaries much easier meaning you'll have the rounds ready for those situations. I was relieved when the Las Cannon came out unscathed with the balance patch, it's always been my top pick on bots.
SAME. It's been my go-to alongside the HMG for bot missions. It can do everything, maybe not as well as other weapons, but nothing (except for chainsaw arm dudes) can really pose a massive issue if positioning is right.
It's excellent, but at the moment I'm having too much fun with my airburst rocket launcher-Eruptor loadout. I use the rocket sentry as a means to deal with the gunships and eagle airstrike-orbital strike to deal with the rest. Long story short: It's far from beeing optimal by any stretch of imagination, but it's a LOT of fun. What I was wondering if there's a better way to deal with the gunships? Maybe Commando or autocannon sentry?
@@etuanno I'm also an Airburst enjoyer! It can be really effective during extract! The rocket sentry is great and can take out gunships like you mentioned, but when there's a lot on the field the sometimes weird target prioritization of the turrets can be a pain point. If you haven't tried out the dual-HMG turret I would recommend that, it's solid in general and is very strong vs gunships. Edit: CommissarKai's previous video has the HMG turret as a key part of the loadout.
retreating from a fight where you’re surrounded to ensure the enemy will have to follow you and approach you from the same direction honestly seems like such simple advice but for some reason i never would have thought of that. i’ve been binging some of your team play videos lately and i’ve been learning a lot of helpful tactics! thank you! 14:41 “follow me n4, don’t look behind ya” 😭😭
That "leading away" is precisely why I use sentries placed around objectives as a solo player... as soon as they drop, I immediately swing around behind the bots as they're drawn off the objective. I then quickly get in and out before they destroy the sentries and get back to cover before they notice me. In probably 150 hours of solo diving, this has worked almost every time. CommissarKai is a great tactician, and divers would be wise to heed his instruction here.

Wow, that was probably the coolest of yozr Videos yet. I've discovered your Channel about two Weeks or so and started by watching the newer ones first. You know thst's exactly what i'm trying to get my Friends to do. Working as a Team instead of everyone going for themselves. You are amazing!
Had the worst randoms squad yesterday. Found the radar tower and squad ran off to do main objective after getting bot drop called. But they all went to different objectives and they all kept dieing so i would reinforce them back to the radar tower to help me clear it but they would just drop in and run off. So finally i used my mic and asked why no one would stick around and help me and the answer i got was baffling: "its rude to reinforce someone away from an objective they were doing". So if your by yourself who is gonna revive you back where you were and second why wouldn't you prioritize the radar tower to know where all secondary objective and poi are was my response. But did that matter, no so for the rest of the match i didnt reinforce any because i didn't want to be rude. 🙄 Bad target and objective priorities make things go bad more often than not and is really bad for the whole squad
The radar tower can sometimes be a one person objective. A lot of waiting around. But yeah it's situational and depends on the opposition. The only time I think it's a little rude to reinforce is when you've split off into teams of two - you want to let the split team reinforce themselves. A team of two has the ability to reinforce themselves so calling one away kind of ruins the resilience of the team of two and also stops them from opening vaults. Otherwise - if you die the consequences of that death are on you, not the guy that calls you in.
This scenario sucks, but if you aren't equipped to clear an objective by yourself and your squad is refusing to help, your best option is to abandon it and stick with your squad, or at least, someone in your squad. It's frustrating, and often the wrong tactical choice, but you're typically better off trying to support a bad squad than you are trying to force an objective on your own. And sometimes, with a little luck and perseverance, bad teammates can be turned into good teammates if you make it clear with your actions that you're a great teammate.
Finding good cover, shooting-and-moving, and knowing when to run away from a fight are essential skills when fighting bots. And yes, the laser cannon is the best anti-air weapon you can have. Thanks for covering all of this man.
Btw the guy who has a sort of speech quirk sounds like one of my old friends that I used to play video games with and any video game he played he was a GOD at. He had the tism but his knowledge and skill base was just off the charts.

I totally vibe with the sentiment of being the one outside the spotlight making everyone else's time easier, helps that I enjoy being a sniper so long range cover fire picking off targets to clear paths is what I'm trying to improve currently. Great video and tips! I got some good laughs for today. 😂 I am SO glad someone else combines the Gas and Eagle Air strikes. I don’t know how many people are aware that throwing the Gas Orbital on a bot outpost can trigger an explosion from the fire vents. Therefore blowing it up in a glorious fashion! 😊 Eagle Air and Gas along with the rocket sentry are my standard load out on solo runs. Some squad runs too depending. Seriously y’all. Try the gas and eagle air strike combo if you don’t already. Just be aware and your mates to not get near the gas until it clears. It will take you out. I found out my first time using it! 😂
I like the build you’ve put up, and have been running something similar. It’s really helpful that you also give tactical breakdowns. One thing I’d like to suggest is the deployable shield as an alternative to the rocket sentry if the rest of the team is already sentry-heavy. I noticed my allies will rally to a shield if they see it go up, and with a decent uptime and short cooldown you have it for every other fight, or at least once per objective push. It’s also good for protecting someone on a terminal or safeguarding allied sentries. Give it a shot!
I gotta admit, I have been sleeping on the utility strats like the deployable shield or smokes. They offer a ton of utility to a team. I'll practice with some and see what I can cook up!
Had the best random squad a couple of days, everyone knew exactly how to plan out our route, had a supply pack feeder so spear never went empty, targets prioritized correctly. Made helldive rank missions such a quick cake walk, and so much fun
Hell yeah brother… It absolutely blows my mind that other people don’t understand how tactically important it is to regroup during a mission. And I do believe that the main problem to this phenomenon is that there is no designated team lead, because if there was, this regrouping problem could easily be remedied by the team lead just giving the simple command of….. (regroup on me) 😂🤷🏽♂️

You say being a good teammate isn't about getting the most kills, and that is generally true, but sometimes getting a lot of kills really helps the team. I would like to see you build around the idea that good bots aren't a threat to your team, and the only good bot is a dead bot. I recommend the diligence counter sniper for this, which is my favorite primary for bots, especially on open maps. It can one shot devastators in the head, has great range and fast bullet travel for hitting bots that try to call in reinforcements, and otherwise being able to hit priority targets to protect the team even if those targets are far away. I usually pair it with the autocannon, which handles the heavy targets, stun grenades, and peak physique armor to enable the primary and secondary weapons with faster aiming, then air strikes, precision strike, and a flex pick for the last stratagem, often walking barrage.
I use the same. Verdict pistol is good too, fast reload and good dmg helps with small enemies and taking out fast those berserkers cqc when you dumped your diligence mag. Stratagems: Airstrike is always good + orbital gatling (takes out mobs, tanks or even factory striders and low cd), maybe rocket turret, mortar, or if you have unlocked the eagle fast rearm I use somet8mes Eagle atrafing run, you can take out turrets and all tanks long range !! 50 mt throw + 30m stratagem straight line range! And can be a good way to deal with front assault that cant be penetrated by autocannon shots. I dont like 380mm or those without Servoassisted armor
Interesting comment you made early on to “not reinforce” a teammate who had died right away. I think you could do a video on the reinforcement strategies and the way you support reinforcements. There is a lot more players should be thinking about than just entering the code and throwing the stat beacon.
Great job getting through this mission! I love this video format too. I use the mortar sentry because it can attack from behind cover, but I'll try this loadout and see if I can get good mileage out of the rocket sentry.
these videos helped me play helldivers 2 better I used to play badly I'm even disgusted by what I did once I extracted knowing full well no one else could make it I felt disgusting afterwards I would also make poor decisions all the time and think my teammates where so stupid but now I realised from your videos better strategies and never extract without people like a filthy rat I could have just ducked into cover and probably take out the scout strider and waited whilst giving covering fire from the back I apologise for my cowardliness and I understand that super earth will never be able to forgive me and wow that was a long side tangent but my point is you made me a better player
Replace the gas for smoke orbital. THEN you will have a helldive allrounder. My personal allrounder is Dommy, nade pistol, stun nade. strats; either Eagle or 500kg eagle, Spear, smoke. Then the last various on map. Mortar, stun mortar, rkt turret, 380kg barrage. Etc.
It totally does! The only downside is you have to land it right on top of the detector tower so the "shell" hits the tower directly. I wasn't confident I could pull that off in the moment, so I backed up with my team. Good catch though!
So, I tried this loadout out on my own, and I will say that while the Senator is a decent pairing with the Eruptor, I feel like the Verdict is a far better choice. There's been multiple times where I've been facing groups small enough for an Eruptor round to be a waste, but the senator didn't have enough rounds to clear them out.
I love the eruptor, but ever since the change it didnt feel the same. BUT when i played last night, it felt good again. idk if they did a hidden patch or w/e but i was loving it again vs bots
I enjoy your videos. We seem to have a similar playstyle, we use pretty much the same weapons and strats and aim to be a team player. Thanks for the tutorials and keep up the content.
It's so hard to find a team on full coms. Fate was with me my first week I started playing, I had a few teams with full coms then one really good team on full coms. But they need to fix the friends request issue. I can't add anyone on friends.
2 things. 1: why do people sleep on smoke grenades so much? They can counter gunship targeting and count as full cover for dropping bot targetting. 2: Why does everyone pick eruptor over Xbow? I mean the Xbow has to have something over the Eruptor over sound.

@@stuflames4769 "taking two stratagem slots" my brother you arent allowed to use any other backpack with auto cannon. That is a disadvantage for playstyles. For example i could rock a supply pack and now help myself and others. I dont just talk though i have solo helldives on my channel with the laser cannon as well.
It is a corrosive gas, so yes, gas works on bots. The gas strike pairs quite well with the EMS strike to stun bots in place as they are melted away by the gas strike.
Like a true Commissar, when facing overwhelming odds and taking massive causality you kept the troops together to fight another day. Well done!

Yes, so many situational nuances to the game but it takes a bit of humility to receive them from others.

Quick reminder that the gas strike can kill the detector tower, same as the p-strike! It can also kill reasearch stations, too!

It's so hard to find a team on full coms. Fate was with me my first week I started playing, I had a few teams with full coms then one really good team on full coms. But they need to fix the friends request issue. I can't add anyone on friends.

2 things.
1: why do people sleep on smoke grenades so much? They can counter gunship targeting and count as full cover for dropping bot targetting.
2: Why does everyone pick eruptor over Xbow? I mean the Xbow has to have something over the Eruptor over sound.

@@stuflames4769 "taking two stratagem slots" my brother you arent allowed to use any other backpack with auto cannon. That is a disadvantage for playstyles. For example i could rock a supply pack and now help myself and others. I dont just talk though i have solo helldives on my channel with the laser cannon as well.

Saying “south” instead of over here at 10:15 for example.
LOL I constantly tell my brother this. He’ll see an enemy and say “over there!” without pinging anything.

Wait... gas works against bots?
It is a corrosive gas, so yes, gas works on bots. The gas strike pairs quite well with the EMS strike to stun bots in place as they are melted away by the gas strike.
