This is a typical non-Toyota owner. There are reasons why these cars (Camry and Corolla in particular) are so present on American roads. They last and are very dependable. Not everyone's identity is tied up in their car. I'm not making a statement when I drive one of my Camry's. One with 280,000 miles. It works and works and works. 'Nuf said.

+Powerharp62 Fair. Keep in mind, aesthetics are just one part of a car, and largely a personal opinion.

my prius has 380,0000 and the other 180,000. just did a trip from chicago to CA and back. 6,000 miles, no issues. Next car is a hybrid and a tesla 3 we put an order for

Ironically the Avalon kinda IS styled inoffensively on purpose. It’s a car for people who want Lexus luxury but aren’t tied up with caring about the Lexus name. It’s really just the name of the game with the Avalon

I don't know what he's talking about with the design. I actually like this body style. For the longest time, the Avalon looked like an old man car. Now is sleek looking!

I own a 2009 xls and it is one of the most comfortable cars I have ever driven. I drive Cadillacs for a living and the only model comparable is the XTS for a lot more money. It will be a toss up between a new 2018 Avalon Hybrid or a used Tesla S.

Out of curious, where was this filmed? That location looks familiar.

Too many times we criticize these Eco friendly cars for lack of power or sporty intention in an attempt to come across as a "" cool boy racer"let's encourage people to purchase these cars not discourage.

+T Tt I'm not sure I follow. Lack of power was NEVER an issue here, and despite Toyota softening the suspension, I found this chassis very capable even when pushed. I had a lot of fun in this car.

good review... Basically, good car, but a bit "meh" in the looks. I can see that. I'm a Toyota lover, so, it's top on my list.

If you think this car is invisible either you are only about sports cars or have so much money the Avalon would never be considered.

+gene978 I assure you neither is the case. Just a personal opinion, you are certainly free to disagree!
