@@SgtBFGunner ruger bought marlin back...and I will say the new ruger made marlin 1895 sbl is 100 times better then the remington built marlins ever thought about being
that recoil pad built in seems to help with the recoil. I don't think the All Weather's recoil is any worse than a 12 gauge shotgun shooting slugs, 450 Bushmaster AR, or 30-06 bolt action I've shot
Ive wanted this rifle for a while. I think i might go with the cimmaron though, the alaskan i think its called! They make a nice 45-70 all weather too!
You should reload for the .45-70. You might try to find some Black Hills or HMS "Cowboy" level rounds. Fairly inexpensive 405 grain cast lead at around 1200 fps with an authentic puff of smoke. Will still work well for deer and hogs and not so hard on the shoulder. The Hornady FTX stuff has a sharp recoil and is a little unpleasant but perhaps you guys exaggerate a little bit. I have three .45-70 rifles, a CVA and two Marlin 1895 SBLs. The +P Marlin only loads will bite. By the way, the Henry is chrome plated steel, not stainless steel. If they would get rid of that tube loading it could hold another useful round.
I think I got the first one in Ohio ! Before the side feed. The thing I don't like about it is all that recoil has to go somewhere. You plant it against your shoulder and it kicks up. I have a scope on mine and you'd better have a death grip on the for stock or it will split your eye brow. So then you're focusing onto hanging onto it instead of squeezing the trigger. I wanted to see what you had to say about this problem
This model is intended for use as a lightweight scout rifle. The rail being further up on the gun allows you to center mount your scope further up, which allows for faster target acquisition and keeps it from knockin you out.
If you want to do more videos learn proper terms and safety of firearms. Can definitely tell your very new. That red dot is way to high and will never be a good option for a lever gun. Every time to you shot the gun it tossed you around. Start of with a 357 lever gun. Wish you well and take this as constructive criticism but being in the firearms industry and hunting for 15 years I have learned a ton. Good luck will be following the channel to see growth!
You say I this is a rifle review... Ultimately with any firearm it comes down to, can the rifle put a group on target? Can you hit what you aim at, will it shoot accurately! You failed to answer this most basic question!
I agree!! My thoughts are is that Henry manufactures so many perhaps millions of these tube loading magazines for their lever guns that side gate loading for Henry lever guns is an after thought!! Henry just cannot produce a lever gun without the tube loading feature!! It’s nuts!! Many people like their lever guns but that tube load crap turns them off entirely!! Smarten up Henry!!
You don't know what you are talking about man a red Dot is good out to 300 yards and you can buy 45-70 ammo at Walmart all over the country every sport and good store in America carries 4570 ammo and and it is not $5 a shot you can find plenty of ammo for around $50 a box I hate watching videos with people like you that does not know what they are talking about
I have bought 45-70 ammo at Wal mart in Florida!! He does know what he is talking about. You can buy it online from various online stores. You may end up laying $68 after tax and shipping for the Hornady lever revolution 325 FtX but that is still only like $3.40 a round. Compare that with .300 win mag. Much more expensive than 45-70.
Sir, respectfully, you need to learn proper and safe gun handling on lever action rifles. -the hammer is never cocked unless you are about to shoot -when you de-cock, release the trigger as soon as you cross the break (transfer bar) -your hand never goes near the muzzle unless the action is open -AR mounts are not your friend here -the hammer is never cocked unless you are about to shoot -the hammer is never cocked unless you are about to shoot -the hammer is never cocked unless you are about to shoot
"satin hard chrome plating", not stainless. Got to get me one!
Just ordered me one! (Wish Remington would come back. I still NEED an 1895 SBL .45-70!)

Great rifle, love the 45-70 but l like the blued version.

I'm confused.
Is she a whacker or a thumper?

The gun does look like it means busines, but MAN it seems like it's freezing there. I was feeling bad seeing you shiver
Nice rifle. The red dot is mounted much too big giving a chin weld.

When you shoot 45-70 you reload 45-70 that's what I do
Not sure why thay left tube feed loading and ramp..never liked the pull out tube..I'll stick with Marlins

Lot less likely to damage the tip of lever evolution rounds when you load through the tube. That's one reason

What Walmarts are carrying 45-70? None. Seems to me like you don’t know what you’re talking about.
Just bought 2 boxes at my Walmart in South Mississippi.
