I think they are developing Ezra’s character in a way that resembles Luke’s academy in Legends, where Jedi learn about the dark side for what it is, instead of fearing it and becoming lost in their emotions. They also knew what the temptations of the dark side were, but had the ability to resist them

Ezra and Kanan were examples of a Master who trusted his Apprentice, maybe even 2 Master's. Ezra learned from Maul as well, and Kanan trusted him to learn about the dark side. I think that is going to be important.

Rebels was giving a somewhat but not completely traditional outlook on the light and dark side: One is unproblematically useful, the other is a temptation that should better be resisted, even if it's also very useful at times. The Jedi characters were trustworthy, the Sith were treacherous and selfish. However, the animals and creatures of the force in the show were not playing by these same rules. They seem to be light and dark, fearsome but not evil. Now "Ahsoka" is another beast entirely, we get dark Jedi with a conscience who I believe care about each other, a Mandalorian Padawan who pretty much isn't force sensitive, and a protagonist who is symbolically light incarnate but constantly disagrees with the Jedi order's teachings embodied in Huyang. When Ezra shows up there I don't know what he will do but I doubt he will be on either side of the traditional binary (light=good=Jedi / dark=evil=Sith).

super hot take, but I believe Ezra is the closest someone can get to Anakin's potential without being The Chosen One. the fact he could use Mind Domination, a darkside ability only Palpatine and one other Sith have achieved, with very little training & effort speaks VOLUMES. Ezra is probably one of the strongest force-users in the galaxy and we all casually ignored it

It is rather interesting what Ezra paths would be or speculate if he followed Jedi path or the path of the Sith. Probably alternative universes or ideas of Ezra being trained by Yoda or Palpatine would be great to see and how Ezra Bridge develop his own style in either the Sith or Jedi.

Personally, I agree that he’s drawn to the dark, but hope that he might find a perfect balance between the light and dark (like Mace Windu), or even outright reject and dominate its control over him (like Yoda in CW s6). No force user is ever truly free of the darkness, and rather than suppress it, I believe that finding true balance, or taking the darkness within by the throat and telling them “No!” Or “You don’t dictate my path. I dictate your existence!” Would be the only true way to find peace. We’ve all made mistakes, hiding them, or running from them doesn’t help at all. If Ezra figures that out, I believe he could become even more powerful and wise than Anakin, Luke, and Yoda ever were.
And if that’s not enough, the purple lightsaber ticks the Sith off the most because it means that they can wield both light and dark without losing themselves to it, and on top of that, how cool would it be to see Ezra with a purple lightsaber?!!!!!

I am hoping the Bendu was the foreshadow for Ezera being a gray not jedi or sith like nature. If you look at it from a broader since. Vader was at a time when the force is split to its farthest point. Out of balance point to the dark. With Vader gone, it comes back to balance and you would see a more grey influence on the age. The cycle has begun anew.

In the Temple of Lothal in S1, Kian couldn't see Master Yoda because he wasn't strong enough in the force
In S2, in the same Temple, Ezra could already see Yoda, therefore being stronger in strength than S1 Kanan
If we consider that no more than a year must have passed between these two moments and that he was being trained for the most part by a padawan with incomplete training and who has no experience in training anyone, I would say that Ezra would become easily a Jedi master (the kind who wouldn't die as an extra in the clone wars)
Since within approximately a year he surpassed a guy who spent years being trained in the Jedi Temple (remembering that children enter the Temple at a very young age) and then spent more than a decade perfecting himself

If Ezra was written to turn to the dark side, I would have preferred this all happen back when Maul was alive so he could have become his master for most of his training, up until Maul's death by Obi-Wan (pushed to later in the timeline to accommodate), basically Ezra becoming Maul's only true apprentice - I dont count Savage. Then perhaps Ezra could have had some type of redemption ark back towards a middle ground between the light and dark sides of the force where he combines what he learned from Kanan and Maul and sets his own path forward. But it's too late for that, missed opportunity in my opinion. I really just want more old Maul and Ezra time, their interactions were fascinating to me.

Ezra is a Child of the Force
After the destruction of the Jedi, and the Dark dominance of the Sith, the Force allowed a new generation of potentially powerful Force Wielders, each with potential to be powerful Jedi if trained
The Sith made sure to either kill them, or alienate their chances to be trained by Jedi
Ezra was one of the few to have been trained
They’re not Chosen Ones, but still strong enough to chance the tide especially if they join together as Jedi
With powerful Light comes powerful Darkness as they have the potential to be powerful assets to the Dark Side if turned
Ezra who lost so much had reason to be tied to fear and anger, making him tied to the Dark Side and would been a force to be reckoned with if turned
Also he seems to be connected to Lothal as he became the key to access the Mortis Realm, as if he was the bridge between this world and the next

I'm fairly sure that if Ezra had turned to the dark side, he would've killed Thrawn - Thrawn would be the object of his anger as the reason he's stranded outside the galaxy. The only way he could fall and not kill Thrawn is if he has been imprisoned and restrained the whole time.

When Rush Clovis started kissing Padme. Anakin Skywalker turned to dark side and started beating up Rush Clovis. I think Anakin and Ezra have the same dark side power. Kanan Jarrus teach Ezra not to tap into the dark side when Kanan found out Ezra been using the Sith Holocron and tells Ezra taping into the dark side may resolve a trap and Kanan takes away the Sith Holocron but Obi-Wan didn't teach Anakin not use the dark side. I never seen Obi-Wan stop Anakin when Anakin turn to the dark side in Star Wars The Clone Wars from all the scene Anakin tap into the dark side. When Ezra turn to the dark turn and help Maul I thought Ezra will become Starkiiler in star Wars Rebels.

I think Ezra will be known as a Gray Jedi, neither Dark nor Light, but in-between. Saved you over 12 minutes.
The term has also been applied to Force-sensitives who aren’t affiliated with the Light or Dark side of the Force. Quite literally, these Gray Jedi don’t see things in black and white, or light versus dark. Instead, they find a state of balance by utilizing the light and dark sides of the Force.

Ezra is not at strong in the force as Starkiller. Starkiller slowed the descent of an imperial star destroyer.
The only use of force grip/levitation that surpasses this feat is when an Anakin seized the Sister(embodiment of the light side of the force)and the Son(embodiment of the dark side) and forced them to their knees. Ezra may be strong in the force but he is no anakin or Starkiller.

In the past, there was no darkside and lightside. There was just the force. The users used the full force. People decided eventually how they wanted to use the force. I feel that Ezra will become like the Bendu, someone in the middle. The user of the full force, both light and darkside. But because of his history with the ghost and Kanan not become a full darkside user

I think they ruined it by not going into what Ezra was doing during the time gap since we know from what combat scenes we saw his skills improved in the Force and it could be a good guess he also found whatever it was Baylin was looking for and used it for training but this all depends on if they go into any flashbacks during whatever the next project is.

I pretty much disagree with all the tanks i've seen here. Ezra is strong in the Force, that is apparent. But I don't believe people have natural affinity for one side or the other. I think its the environment that affects this. Its Ezra's strength in the Force that allowed him greater ease to access abilities. As it did for Anakin. Now, I do believe that each Force User has a natural affinity for certain abilities within the Force, but not for either side.
Take Satele Shan, she was strong in the Force, but had a natural affinity for Energy Absorption. Allowing her to save her own life when facing off against Malgus when she was disarmed. Quin-Lin Voss, had a natural affinity for Psychometry, that was bolstered by his Race having a genetic aptitude for it. Nomi Sunrider had a natural affinity for Battle Mediation, and once she was fully trained, any Forces she bolstered were nigh near unbeatable. Jedi Master Knol Ven'nari was a bothan Jedi that could manipulate fire like no Jedi before her. Keiran Halcyon was a jedi of Luke's Academy that potentially was stronger at energy absorption than even Master Shan.

Let's be logical here. If the young force sensitive the jedi refuse to train are left to their own devices. Wouldn't they just be picked up and tempted by the dark side resulting in rampant sith and dark jedi? Like these people have the innate advantage of being a force wielder. A person's natural inclination thusly is survival and to press ones advantages in life to make it in life.
So wouldn't you often end up with people that would normally be Jedi turn to the dark side given what little support they have in training or discipline or principle? The jedi order are just creating their own enemies.
