This year’s supposed DPOY, Myles Garrett, had a run defense grade of 78.4. Is TJ picking up the slack of other teammates, or did he shift focus from sack leader to one of the best against the run?

The criticisms arising around this team are just as legitimate as those who questioned Chuck Knoll in the mid to late 80s, or Bill Cowher in the 90s (my favorite Steeler Coach). Most people are upset with the CHARACTER this team is showing. That's a reflection of Mike Tomlin and Mr. Rooney. They are big boys, getting paid a lot of money, and should take all the heat coming their way.

Then he wanted out, he said Ben didn't get him the ball. AB got his wishes many times, never happy. Finally removing his jersey and walking away from Brady. But Tomlin own the personnel issues, he let them fester. Now bases on the non Steeler Way things that Tomlin has done, especially this season, maybe Tomlin wants the Steelers to fire him.
As a fan base, it feels like we are too hard on our wide receivers. GP doesn’t play for three games then he has two bad games all of a sudden he wants to play his way out of Pittsburgh? Is it time to talk Xs and Os instead of narratives?
I don't want to hear communication issues. Week 2 issues in week 18 are a coaching issue. The slow starts are an illness. Bad scripting the first plays, a lack of team motivation, discipline and focus. I can live with an over-amped team coming out, over pursuing, ready to lay some wood down...but that's not what we see. We see a flat, uninspired, shoddy effort.
The teams that are most familiar with us have hurt us with TE. Not in a huge statistical way but in "weighty downs." Our lbs seem to be somewhat of a liability in coverage. Our edge guys have got to get to lamar. E Rob, and Elliot are great agianst the run , but in coverage ??I thought PQ would be a little better in coverage not to criticize him at all, and P Wilson has potential to be good there. Holcomb was our coverage guy but he's still probably not there. D Henry killed us in the last meeting. Stop Henry, and rattle Lamar and we win this game. Well , the offense oof . Here We Go !!!
My last point, in my view I thought hiring Arthur Smith was a mistake he failed again our offense is not failing the defences know our plays , nothing new has been installed since day 1, you cant win with the same 3 or 4 plays a game in total. If we got a young hot shot OC we would be dangerous only thing we are is predictable.
As a 5 decade Steeler fan it just makes me sad to see this franchise viewed as a joke in some ways. We aren’t a place that offensive players want to play and the “culture” everyone credits MT with was formed decades before he got here. I think MT is a good guy. I think he will be an amazing speaker or broadcaster. But I see the Steeler tradition being tarnished and alums have mentioned it in the past. To me the Steelers are bigger than Mike T like him or not and I just feel it’s time for him to go. I wish he’d do the unselfish thing and step away but I don’t expect that. Oh well just my 2cents
