It lags, because: - it's in virtual enviorment - it's running in livecd mode (not installed on drive) - graphics drivers not installed (using basic drivers) - low RAM, min should be 8GB nowdays after all the above issues are resolved, this Ubuntu version too will work equal to or better than windows - if Adobe and Games developers start supporting Linux officially (like chrome, firefox, libreoffice, vlc developers did) then Windows will become history in no time
Yea and not just Ubuntu but deepin desktop environments kilyn ukui you name it I've tried all plus they lack subtle animations, what I do is use another distro and use deepin themes and icons to get it as close as possible
Ubuntu is based on Gnome desktop. Yes you can put new icons in gnome. This ubuntudde has deepin desktop that is different from gnome. May be this will be ubuntu's one of the official releases one day..

I think it lags because you are running it in virtual box. Otherwise if you install it in physical bear metal of the computer, it will not lag.
Do you think it looks better then Deepin 23 OS or Debian 12? Can you do a comparison?
It is Ubuntu+ deepin DE . It's looks beautiful and power of Ubuntu you will get. Deepin OS package management is not that good
installing on real hardware makes more work but you re getting no lags..but hey, why making so much work for clicks,right?
Personally I used another distro and customize it with the deepin theme and icons
