This videos intro song reminds me of my son Josh who passed February 22, 2013. I just recently bought the Excalibur along with your cookbook. I read there that we share the loss of our sons. Bless your heart. God Bless you and may your James Rest in Peace with my Josh. Thank you so very much for sharing your passion. I've watched all of your videos. I feel like I've known you my whole life. I commend you for your bravery and courage to smile and continue to live on. I am certain James is very Proud of you Tammy. Thank you for teaching me this valuable skill. It's become a "healthy coping skill" for me. Sincerely Maggie
I seen a a lot of your videos of yours on canning, preserving and dehydrating many years ago and it got me itching to get an Excalibur. After many years of thinking about it I finally got the 9 tray Excalibur a few days ago! I have just been binge-watching your videos and dehydrating with a passion! As of now I am on Part 9 only 90 million more videos to go. I am so excited to preserve and I plan on getting your BOOK ASAP! Thank you so much for all you have done and you truly inspired me! Next big investment is going to be Chamber Vacuum sealer! May blessings be with you and your family and your healthwealthcome!
Your presentation is fantastic -- very professional and appealing. And, it's so good to see what these things look like in their dried state and re-hydrated. It's just amazing to me how fresh everything looks re-hyrdated. I'm mainly a canner when it comes to preserving, but I'm definitely going to do more dehydrating from now on! Just the saving of storage space alone is good incentive!
I bought my 2nd hand Excalibur a week ago. Managed to find your book online. Both arrived yesterday. Started reading you book at 21h00 last night and could not for the life of me put it down. Only finished it past midnight. Slept 6 hours, will be going shopping in 2 hours and will test my first batch of whatever before noon🤗😘. You have a new devoted follower all the way in South Africa. Regards 🐝
thank you for the fruit roll up instructions. I have never had any success. I now have a new path. I think I will take your advice and use the cooked method.
i do fruits and dehydrate them and i also stock up on canned goods. vegetables at aldi's u can get veggies 30 cents/can pasta tomato sauces and dried beans powder milk cereal and we have a well so i think the water is ok
I love your channel. I have 2 questions, 1st, how do you get your banana chips crispy? Mine are always soft… do I dehydrate them longer? I’ve done it for up to 2 days… 2nd, I was told to never dehydrate dairy… and I want to store eggs and cheese and can not afford a freeze dryer…
Hey great vids, thx for making them. Quick question, if you were to cut the corner off of a bag and used that to pipe your mixture in strips onto the sheets, would that make them easier to store in jars?
Hello great video's I brought your book and it is great. My first dehydrate was carrots which I dropped into boiling water for 5 min, sliced and dipped in lemon juice first. But they will not rehydrate properly, I have soaked, steamed and boiled and they just will not cook through and they will not go back to their proper shape. i have no idea what I did wrong lol
My daughter (almost 4) walks in, ask what I'm doing. I say "I'm watching a lady frying an egg". "That is no egg, it has no baby bird!" she yells! A few weeks ago she learned that eggs are laid by chickens and if hatched will create baby bird. Big mistake! Now she always wants her eggs sunny side up because she wants to eat the baby bird. I think we're raising a psychopath ;-)
I can't see the justification of fruit roll ups at 15-18 hours of running the dehydrator at 800 watts to 1000 watts! That is nuts! Anyone doing this needs to get a Kilowatt tester and see how much it's costing them. Get yourselves to the store and buy the fruit rollups and save $$$. That is just not cost effective, unless you have a full solar panel setup and zero money going to the power company.
amazing!!!! truly amazing.....not all the dried food.....i mean amazing that a woman can do all that....aren't you afraid that other women might not like you for doing all this? also you could get kicked out of the women's club...i showed this vid to my wife and she didn't talk to me for 3 days, then she told me if i wanted all this done, it would be either this or sex, of course i can live without food....so much for my hopes to get some home dried fruits, back to buying instead...

How long do you put the timer for the dried fruit to dehydrate them?
Love your videos
Concerning the tomato paste....Did you add kayro syrup and lemon juice to the stewed tomatoes?

Amazing!!!!!
Fabulous!!!!
still looks good
Very nice videos. :-) I heard that you shouldn't use an oxygen pack for sugar or it will turn the sugar to a brick.
It’s true
How long does the fruit roll up last the way you packaged it?
You can get shrink wrap at papermart.com great prices...
Can I use something other than oxygen packs?
Can egg yolks be dehydrated also?
Where is the price for the Excalibur for that price posted?
I will never let baby carrots go bad in the frig again!
@tommy0135 I saw a different video & she scrambled the eggs first then dehydrated.
can you dehydrate meat ? lov your vids.
That’s how you make jerky
Anyone know if she's still alive?? No videos or responses to questions in over 2 years... just curious.
That’s what I’m wondering….

Lol where do you live? It’s very cheap to run a dehydrator…
