    M6 is honestly horrendous. Being from Coventry having to use it regularly is just a pain in the ass. Anyway great vlog mate, keep it up :)

    Cheers Darren, All makes sense now. Whenever i heard drivers saying 15 minute break i was on the understanding that was for driving time, Not taking into account working time directive. So thanks for that. .. Did you ever get any information on Maritime? I’ve seen they do a New pass driver training scheme. Wondering if that would be any good for that first year experience

      Your welcome mate glad it helped, I received a call from maritime after I had started at my new place, and since this place seems good to work for i decided to pass on maritime, but they do take on new pass drivers for sure

    Liking the videos! I was wondering is there an expiry for d4 medicals or provisional licences? Say I do the medical and apply for provisional and in 3/4 years time wanna start learning is that alright? Or would the medical expire after a certain amount of time?

    Question for taco, if you were to go over your 30 minute break would anything bad come of that? Or would it be, you can drive for longer? Cheers

      If you go over your driving or working time you will get an infringement. nothing normally come from it, unless your stopped by DVSA - then you get a big fine, so best to keep an eye on your breaks

    Darren, love your videos! I'm doing my HGV course in a month so wanted to ask, what's it like getting a job when you've just qualified? Is it difficult with no experience?

    • @Life_of_Darren

      Thanks for watching bud, I won’t lie it can be tricky to find work when you first pass as a lot of places require 2 years experience - however there is ALOT of places that do take on new starters, I’d recommend handing your cv in to local places near you and apply for everything on indeed as a lot of agencies post on there and they will take new drivers doing temp to perm contracts which are great for new starters.
      On my video uploaded tonight I go in detail about finding work etc. Good luck

    POA doesn’t count towards your break at all that’s false. If you drive for 4 hours have 45 minutes POA and then drive you will pick an infringement up after 30 minutes admittedly it will reset your drive time on your tacho as over in Europe that’s within the rules but UK it’s not. So please if you’re going to give advice on videos check it’s correct

    • @Life_of_Darren
      @Life_of_Darren  ปีที่แล้ว

      15 min poa will go towards working time break period on tacho, I don’t advise staying on poa for the driver time break as that is required to be on rest and not poa.

    • @eddietodd1942
      @eddietodd1942 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Life_of_Darren no it won’t POA doesn’t count as anything other than pause on your working time in theory in uk so might as well just use break and actually achieve what you want to
