    Would love to see them stock some trout out there, would be a perfect place for some monster rainbows to fatten up on baby redfin.

      My husband got quite a few from here. They are good to eat. We filleted and battered them up. I skinned them, very thick skin which I removed, but stinky guts. I'm from Vic and eaten them before, years ago, but never experienced the guts, a bit off I have to say, but were good to eat once processed.

    It sucks you're not meant to release them, all the big ones will be gone in a year unfortunately

    • @ScottBarnden
      @ScottBarnden 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not really, redfin are cannibals that stunt each others growth if there are too many. Taking some big ones out opens up space for the smaller fish to move up a size category unless they are being absolutely hammered. I've caught some really decent size ones in very heavily pressured waters interstate before, where you still can't release them.

    • @petercarter6086
      @petercarter6086 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ScottBarnden taking big ones out opens it up for smaller ones to get bigger ! Yeah if you want a lake full of fish the same size. What drivel 😖
      leave bigger ones in and get rid of small ones, that way the bigger ones get bigger, simple logic 🤨

    Mate, stop snapping fish neck, its cruel and discasting. Ther are better methods to kill a fish. But as long as you catching them, they should be kept alive. This preserve freshness.
