Had many a bird knock rocks off the cliffs here in S.A. Can be very un-nerving at times. Some rocks would be easily big enough to kill a person. Great video. I love the river!
It's good to see you back in action & in your new pedal kayak. The advantages of pedal over the paddle are easy to see. You had a very long session. My longest is 6 hours & I was completely knackered. I am much older than you, however. I use an anchor with an anchor trolley & a drogue as needs require. I've never heard of Cockatoos throwing stones. Amazing.
Hi Alex, it's lovely to see you're back at it and doing something that you really love. Let me know when you're next up in Whyalla and I'll show you some good spots!
Nice video, Alex. 👍 Don't get too stressed about getting a video up every Friday. We all have good weeks and bad weeks. I'm lucky to get one up once a month.
Just came across your channel... you've got a great style of editing, and love all the b-roll in there. You've almost convinced me to give a hobie a go 😉
I enjoyed your video mate...It has brought back many memories of my own fishing adventures in the South Australian section of the Murray River...Just a quick word of advice don't get fixated on just cliff trolling...Try fishing the opposing bank and middle of the river for your cod...The cod will scatter themselves across the river bottom utilising potholes and structure that can give them some respite from the current...Great video though and well worth your efforts in filming...If your wondering what experience I have when it comes to cod captures within the Murray River you only have to read past issues of S.A. Angler magazine and look for some of my articles on the subject...Also I also had a radio show on the ABC out of Renmark titled "Tips From The Tinny"! I also took the shows producer out one day Bronwyn Wade and showed her how to catch cod trolling...Anyway keep trying and one day a metre cod will come your way...best regards...B.J. bjscustombaits Australia...
Thank you for the tips mate!! Really appreciate it. I never knew they sat in holes in the middle of the river. I guess that's when a sounder comes in handy too! Awesome mate, I have heard of your company before. Keep up the excellent work. 👌
@@Alexsfishin Thanks mate...Yeah a sounder does come in handy for finding fish...Here is another tip for you when trolling the edges you will see a current line where the main force of the current flows hard and the edge water is a bit slower...Now troll that current line and you will also find cod and callop sitting on that edge as they use the slack water to attack prey being carried on the edge of the fast water. Remember in S.A. water if you can see your paddle blade in the water around half a metre then the fish can clearly see your lure presentation...Also when trolling over large laydowns or large snags do not be afraid to smash the timber with the back of your axe head or hammer as this in turn will wake up those sleepy cod that are hiding around that structure...As soon as you wake them up start casting/trolling that structure...Have fun mate....If you need jigs or spinnerbaits please do not hesitate to get in touch with me...regards B.J.
Good to see you back out on the water mate. I saw one of your mates at Glenelg jetty the young lad that you went out in the coorong catching Mully’s in the boat with his dad. He stole all the squid from me hahahaha. Ask him about the GT we caught on a Chung Norris off Glenelg jetty. He will know what I’m talking about hahahaha. Stay safe mate and see you soon👍🏽🎣🎣🦑🦑🐟🐟🐟
Pro Anglers are much better for fishing if you decide on getting one! I just got the Revo 11 because of how light it is. I need to get it on and off the troopy alone ahaha.

Haha sick. He is a gun off the local jetties on the ol' cephlapods! I'll have to ask him next time. Cheers mate!
@@Alexsfishin nice yak mate I’ve always wanted a hobie pro angler you may have changed my mind cheers bro and see you out there one day yeeeewwwww

Awesome vid as always, just wondering what causes the fin rot on the Callop? Is it a condition of the water or a parasite>
Welcome back Alex! May I ask the location? Would love to go! Mannum is my favorite spot but never caught callop or cod.
Thanks mate! This is near Murbko/Wombats Rest.
Was that around Walker Flat?
With the way your B-roll and editing are coming along, it won't be long before you become the Aussie version of JonB.
Means a lot dude! Thanks heaps 👑🎣👌
Hey mate, What is the best lure to use for trolling from my kayak with my electric motor, mostly inshore creeks and off headlands and points too.
Awsome 👍👍👍
Can you do another video at the Patawolonga river please Alex
Once the fishing picks up in there I will 😊.
Scallop yeah baby, I've been living in Victoria for years and refuse to call Callop- yellow belly.
Fecking autocorrect
Nice vid Alex! Do you work at BCF by any chance ?
@6:30 you were basically out the front of my house
Haha nice mate. Nah I work at Anaconda. 630pm I would've been working.
Nope 6:30min in the video. Above the cliff
Ahhh i see 😂👌
I'm building a 86cc mud motor for my yak , it's going to be fun.
Nice yak Alex
is that the murray river in perth?
Adelaide.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Ay!!
Good job, 8 hours..
Was a slog of a day but nice to clear the mind.
No idiots on jetski’s and speedboats going past every 2 minutes ? That must have been a weekday...
Correct. I was quite surprised myself! Only saw 2 house boats go past all day. Not even another tinny or yak 😲
Ur the guy I saw at anaconda
Nice hobbie
Thanks mate.
