- Hurricane Beryl strengthened to a powerful category 5 storm, and some models suggest it could turn its path toward Texas. Will DuPree talks with Meteorologist Rich Segal about what the latest forecast shows. Read more: www.kxan.com/w...

So in other words it could go anywhere…
A lot of those models were in Mexico. The high pressure on the west side is making it swing more towards Texas.
Noone thought Harvey would hit 4 times.
I am very nervous about it supposedly just floating out into the Gulf and doing nothing. I just remember too many hurricanes the last couple years that get into the Gulf and explode in size. Once they get to this size, they can pretty much do what they want. All that monster has to do is stick together long enough to get that warm water. We saw a TS go to a Hurricane 4 just a year ago. Irma, I think it was.
Plus the water temperature is warm and will feed it .
By the end of the week they will move the track further north
This will put the Lake Livingston Dam into real danger of breaking loose !
@@MrSymbolic7yeah weren’t they saying they have concerns about it like just a few weeks ago?
They said harvey wouldn’t hit us ( Houston ) and it did. Beryl is taking the same route as Harvey… prayer time always
Beryl started South of the Tropic of Cancer not the Equator. Models are good for about 2 days out. None predicted CAT5 3 days out.
Glad someone else caught this as well. Beryl's never been south of the equator.
They will be talking about this until next May when a 200 mph hurricane heads for the States a month earlier.

Time for Ted Cruz to fly to Mexico for vacation
Beat me to it
Please enlighten us as to what politicians do for us during natural disasters. Is he going to swoop in like superman and save us all? Texas knows how to handle bad weather. We don't need the government to hold our hand. As a native Houstonian who actually voted for Cruz, I couldn't give less of a f*** where he is during a hurricane, and you shouldn't either.
I live just north of San Antonio. This broadcast is from Austin. Both cities are approximately 160 miles inland from the Gulf of Mexico. I’ve lived in SA for 19 years now. We had one hurricane in 2007 which came onshore south of Corpus Christi. That one came right here. By the time it goes over 160 miles of land, it loses most of its wind speed. That part was a nothing burger. However, we got about 12 inches of rain in one day. Unlike Houston, which is flat as a pancake, it’s very hilly here and with that much rain, the valleys get flash floods. There was a teenage girl during that 2007 storm who tried to drive across high flowing water. There is now a memorial cross for her on the side of that road.
“Turn around - don’t drown!” is what the freeway message boards say when we get massive rains here.
@@Jhop273you voted for the zodiac killer?
Ted is heading to Canada. Parts of Mexico could be hit by Beryl.
People need to remember Austin is 180 miles from the Gulf. The odds are against seeing anything but heavy rain.
We've had some pretty intense winds with that heavy rain from hurricanes in the past. Back in like 2017 we had trees down.
Models changing everyday. Changing further North for landfall that is.
Hi it past us here in Barbados on Monday early in the morning it comes with strong winds some rain here in Barbados it destroy boats sank some it still leave us with the wind
I'm glad Barbados came out as well as it did. I watched a couple of news alerts with PM Mia Mottley. She gave out very good information. Stay safe.
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

Haarp?
This storm will soon be forgotten as dozens more of equal strength are generated by record breaking warm oceans water. The calamites have just begun.
I just pray the Aliens do their thing and dissolve it before it does too much damage.
Don't let me down aliens, we know you're out there!
People need to understand that hurricanes are a necessary weather phenomenon to help the earth and oceans cool down!
🙏for all involved ☘️ 🇨🇮
The question is, when do they officially define category 6?
New 12Z Models have GFS ICON and CMC showing a 80 mph to 100 mph hurricane hitting southern Texas coastline
Will, your audio is not synced with your voice, just saying!
Thanks for bringing attention to this possibility. It's trended north the entire time so far.
HAARP
Yes 🙌🏽
You know hurricanes are a natural phenomenon… Haarp is not producing hurricanes lol

Glad they had a real Meteorologist there, rather then the too common weather person, who really are only useful for on the spot reporting. It's a real shame the NHC has dropped out of actual live reporting of hurricane tracks. Maybe it's political?
RIP Corpus Christi better get my gen serviced.
Poor North Padre. They built that manmade canals for boat access in the new housing development . Last tropical storm it took out someones pool and house as well as the neighbors. Any homes specifically in that area will be decimated, the sand they are built on will come out under them, unfortunately. Hopefully I am wrong, but it doesn't look good.
I remember Carla as a young man. Incredible power and she hit low in Texas. Corpus Christi got the brunt of it. I see Beryl as the same.
Carla made her presence known around A Town

Accuweather Rayno says GOM threat along South Texas coast is rain as Beryl will be a tropical storm. Too much wind shear. SE Texas rains possible.

We need the rain!
Ted Cruz seen at the post office having his mail forward to Cancun….
I predict a Cat 1 or 2 Corpus Christi to matagorda that it will make landfall. Somewhere in those areas.
Hoping it doesn’t reform into a hurricane after it travels over land and brings us only good rain and a cool down.
What about Louisiana houma
Folks we don't know which way the thing is going, we're just talking heads trying to guess what the hell this thing is gonna hit next.

No, Barrel, like Cheryl. Beryl is also a mineral, pronounced Barrel.

thats not all though. Magnetic north is moving straight for Siberia. Our entire northern Polar region will be reshaped with North America becoming more sub-tropical.

Yes, a pole shift has been going on for about 20 years. We've been lucky so far, but who knows what's in store for us. I live in NY, north of NYC a hundred miles. Bless our beautiful planet!
@beatsbyjoeezy1440
I’m hoping it goes right through San Antonio through the hill country. I have a house on the Gudalupe River west of the Canyon Lake Dam, and the river has been completely dry for 2 years. Drought conditions have been very bad in the whole region for several years.
Hmmm...the tracking keeps going more to the east
Central texas Hill Country is dry but not nearly as dry as Rich's mouth😅
Edit: lol, Will "fondling" developments.
Trump is on his way with paper towels
Will is a real SWEETIE. What else would one expect from Austin? Texas' home of the bottom bois.
Please stay away from Houston.
Well, the good news is that it is expected to reduce intensity down to a category 2 or less by the time it gets to Texas or the coast of Mexico. The Grenadine Islands really took a beating. I hope that provisions will flood in as so many are homeless, and that international Red Cross will arrive shortly. They are fortunate that they are surrounded by water, and may still have some of their boats for fishing. Supply chains from other areas hopefully are still in play. Amazing that more people didn't die in this.
They say that but they’ve been wrong about it from beginning

Texas needs water bad.
I hope its remains come up into our area because the lakes really need more water. Definitely don't need a hurricane but we do need the rain.

*"it will weaken"* doesn't really mean anything if you've actually ever been through one of these. In the immediate path is Kingston Jamaica a City of over one million with some really bad slums and *HUGE* mountains so expect massive flooding and destruction there...with no help on the way for that btw. There has been a pocket of trapped air in the Gulf and moving in and around Texas, for weeks. Has to be a reason Beryl got so strong, its moving right for it.
Trying to free up some space for a new golf course/beach house with their new weather guns
At what point will the meteorologist start telling us the truth about weather modification?
These weather men just need something to talk about and scare people just show the European model the only one thats accurate cant stand local weather station they just scare old people for nothing
The news anchor just sounds so dramatic. I understand how Sirius it is . But his laid back demeanor while trying to build drama in people is sickening
