525cc's of Ktm horsepower under the hood of a hacked up kid trax Land Rover Defender body with 10 inches of suspension travel repurposed from a Polaris Outlaw 525IRS.

I'd like to build two of these so that my Brother-in-law in Ellenberg and I can shred the trails when I come to visit, as I am only 2.5 hours away.
Do you offer any direction or recommendations to build these?
I have a Flux Core Welder, a Stick Welder, and am going to purchase a Tubing Bender (Will the HFT Bender work well?).
Are there any other peices of equipment that I may need? I have NO MONEY, so Scrap Steel is my plan.

Yes it would add unnecessary weight, but have you considered putting an actual winch on the front just to keep the nose down a bit more?

No prints. Always just starts with an idea then you start cuttin, bending, and welding. Then you just end up with this!
You must paint the chasis in ktm orange! And Improve the rear suspension, making it taller and harder

But I have always wanted too this day make a build like this for me as a older guy let’s say 😁 Life is busy and time is short. So cool! Where abouts are you located? I'm also in Oregon, im about 12 miles south of Portland off I-5. I'd love to see this thing some time to take some notes on how you built it. I'm trying to come up with a cool project for this winter once the weather goes to shit. My plan as of now is to build an aluminum mini jet boat powered by a 200hp waverunner engine and jet drive. Ill probably stick with that but who knows!

Thats cool about your neighbor having one! Yeah, my plan is to take it places like that. Definitely gonna hit up the clackamas River next summer! While everyone else is floating down the river, ill be able to rip UP the river! Haha! I live in tualatin (if you know where that is, im between tigard and Wilsonville) and the part of the tualatin river ill take it on runs from the tigard area, all the way down to Lake Oswego. They allow motorized boats on the river but there are a ton of trees, debris and there are some shallow areas where the rapids are. Would be a concern for a prop boat but not a jet. It would also be a blast to put it on the Willamette down in Wilsonville and go wake jumping off a giant wake from a wakeboard boat! Cant wait to get that project started!
I there's more value in building one with my kids than just buying a quad for them, i think they will appreciate it more.

Great build! I honestly think that your build is superior to Grindhards; although their's is more custom, they have had multiple issues with the driveline/suspension components. I like that you retained those components from polaris, which is very reliable and allows you to beat the hell out of it. Spend some more time filming for the next build; can't wait to see it.

Awesome!! I have everything except a plastic car. Just need to pick a quad to tear apart. Honda 250r honda 450r or tear my sons warrior apart while hes in school today. Havnt used my lathe in 10+ years but i think its still buried in 1 of my semi trailers.

Hey Brother that motor is not 525 cc! It is a ktm mill and only around 511 or a little more? I have a Polaris outlaw and I love that thing it is Awesome on the trails I ride! What you built out of one is Awesome!
Seriouly you may have a commercial line that looks way more fun than a qaud! It looks as though a lower c.o.g. than a quad too...maybe a roll bar to save your grape if it rolled...and a wheelie bar to fit the hitch.
Someone needs to start making these for us normal goobers to buy.
They arnt that hard to make because its mainly just a quad but its having the expensive tools to do it thats the tricky part.
What would you be willing to pay for it if it was all brand new stuff vs used stuff? I do think there is a market for them but probably not a big one🤔

Hey Hessick sorry I'm late to the game but was wondering what wheel and tire you are running
hi i just had a tout that if you use the red gas can as your gas tank that way the gas will behind you all you haft to do is put a fitting on the bottom of the gas can then just in the Land Rover body put a gas shot off then run the gas line to the carb. the doors I would finger out a way to make latch so they open like they are now.

@@HessickMoto The engine on the ATV looks like the ktm lc4 engine. Is the reverse gear mechanism in the engine? Can you shoot a video showing how this works?

Infinion 3 I didn’t. Although I can for more top speed. Currently runs about 70mph

Sweet I'm gonna get the xpro mini jeep on Amazon and swap in a Yamaha yz125 engine but yours obviously beats that lol my next build will be something like yours theres a few different ones on TH-cam now and I love them all equally. Thanks for ripping dank wheelies!!!!!!!!

I actually stiffened things up when I got home from grind bards compound and it has made an amazing difference. Stay tuned for upgrades and more videos
Suspension is awesome. Crazy travel. Really want someone to build a four wheel drive one. Maybe a kawasaki 750 twin outa a brute force and honda 350d front and rear solid diffs with four linked suspension. Oh and sunscribed.

Way cool... Would have moved the engine even farther forward and stretched the frame another 6-8" to make the seat height lower, and would have put a 5 gallon flat rectangular tank at the bottom of the floor pan for long trail rides.
That thing is a death trap with those bird shit welds...
