This was taken from a bootleg, obviously, thus why the quality is like it is. I did not record said bootleg. The cropping and timing is a little weird because I tried to cut off the applause without losing any parts of the song or important dialogue.
I want to personally shake the hands of every single audience member in that performance for not screaming whenever an actor comes on stage
My daughter and I got to sit on the stage with this performance! She loves theatre and now I do too! Wonderful memories! 😊🥲
Adding this to a playlist I’m gonna watch when the world ends. Seemed appropriate
This video makes me want to cry and smile at the same time and ah
gosh steffis (ilse) voice is so beautiful here
The earth will wave with corn
The days so wide, so warm
And mares will neigh
With stallions that they mate
Foals they've borne
And all shall know the wonder
Of purple summer...
And still, I wait
The swallow brings
A song of what's to follow -
The glory of the spring
The fences sway
The porches swing
The sky begins to thunder
Crickets wander, murmuring
The earth will wave with corn
The day so wild, so warm
And mares will neigh
With stallions that they mate
Foals they've borne
And all shall know the wonder
I will sing the song of purple summer
And all shall know the wonder
I will sing the song of purple summer
All shall know the wonder
Of purple summer...
The way I would kill to go back in time and see this exact performance UGH
So beautiful
Am I the only one that prefers the lyrics on the cast recording to the lyrics sung on tours and future productions? I also really loved how they wore modern clothes in the Broadway production, but hey, beggars can't be choosers
Wasn’t the clothes thing off-Broadway? I’m pretty sure that at least by the time it was frozen they always had costumes on
I've found it this channel name is my aesthetic
The ones that get it, get it. The ones that don't, don't.
I definitely prefer this version, the lyrics are so much more emotional
Are you kidding me?
