    Kuala Lumpur today is far more urban than Singapore. Lived in both cities for a total of 10 years and like most westerners, we prefer to work in Singapore and live in KL. Better housing and quality condos in KL compared to Singapore!

    No matter where you go, you will always find something special about it. If you look at it with an open mind, you will appreciate it more. Your initial impression of Malaysia is fantastic, but you must get to know the country better before you can fall in love with it. Malaysia has a lot of attractions outside of KL. Take your time and visit more of our country. Thank you for sharing this informative video on KL City.

      That’s what I’ve heard about Malaysia from other foreigners. It takes time to know, understand and fall in love with the country.
      As for myself, I’ve been to many places in Malaysia, but will do more!

      @@MaxChernov - Similar to an arranged marriage, falling in love with your new partner would take some time compared to your old sweetheart whom you once adored. As you get to know your new companion better, love may steadily grow between you as long as you don't constantly contrast the two. 😜

      @@MaxChernov Sadly I was only able to visit Malaysia twice in the last 22 years. In 2004 and in 2018. KL changed a lot. I remember going to Salsa Parties, or sitting outside Beach Club (totally different in 2001 by the way). Visiting friends at their Condos. Chilling at the Pool. I was 27 back then. Best time of my live. Although I was pretty broke and had no income it was possible to have fun. And guess what…I have already booked a flight for this year. Soon I see my beloved KL again…Unfortunately I lost contact to most of my old friends. But you’re not lonely for long time in Asia. That’s what I love about it.

      Germany? Remembered it like yesterday. I was a young man from Malaysia 30 years ago. I never could get over the fact that Germans love their cakes, cookies and pastries. What we in Malaysia consider high tea/ 'dessert' to be eaten after 4 pm is happily served before lunch time! Still, you can't beat the fantastic food variety in Malaysia! 😉

    Merdeka towers is taken from the imege of Tengku Abdul Rahman Putra when he raised his right hand, when he chanted merdeka on the first day merdeka. From that merdeka towers got it's name and image.

    I would LOVE to spend time there! I remember at the start of my career in teaching, I was offered a job in Jakarta, not Malaysia I know, but nearby, but I chose Italy instead, with the intention of gaining some experience before moving on to Greece, Taiwan and then Malaysia. I ended up staying in Italy, haha. I sometimes kick myself at the thought that I missed that initial opportunity but I hope there will be some chance for me to live in or at least visit Malaysia in the future. It looks like the most perfect place on Earth. ❤

      @@tzatzikiv812 If you know Malay and Mandarin then it's a no brainer - come settle down here at your earliest convenience. Your (hopefully) saved up nest egg in euros will go a long way in Malaysia. But do remember not to the burn the bridges behind you though - this country's policies can be finnicky; it's not a given that your stay here wouldn't run into troubles.

    Malaysia always been under-rated.. but has almost everything..it's the centre the heart of the south east Asia.. rich in cultural and multi racial .. "clean" and beautiful country..

      Now there are Chinese schools, Chinese temples, Chinese can retain their Chinese names, chinese free to do education and business and working with government and public sectors, many Chinese richmen and tycoons, even the Top 10 among the richest are the Chinese, there are Chinese ministers and chief minister, many Chinatowns, Chinese New Year celebration and public holidays ...ermm whatelse that Chinese lacked and want more..🤦🥴🤣😅

    KL offers similar standard of living as in Singapore at a fraction of the price. US$2000 per month is more than enough to live comfortably in KL

    Maybe next time try to explore other states such as kelantan, terengganu, perlis to see the difference u can feel the vibe of kampung area soo peaceful and calm.

    1:46, there’s a HUGE inaccessible spire on top of Burj Khalifa that is merely there for architectural purposes. The only reason why people criticize Merdeka’s spire and not Burj Khalifa’s is because of the way the later’s spire smoothly tapers off which in a way is also “cheating” because Merdeka 118 is definitely thicker and bulkier overall from ground until roof level.

    You should come again next time at Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. Is much different environment. Best place to visit is Sunway Pyramid, Taipan USJ 10, AZ One Cafe (USJ 7) and around SS15. Trust me, you lovin' so much about this experiences.

    Try to visit ICC Pudu, the authentic hawker food ctr in KL. It opens from 5.30am onwards and closed at 2pm. Try to go early and avoid weekends.

    Metro KL or Greater KL or Klang Valley have 15 mil pop encompassing KL and Selangor states. Metro system abt 300km lenght covering all over Klang Valley

    Just let you know, most parks, art galleries, museums, memorials and monuments in KL are free and worth visiting.... Even some with admission fees also will not cost you much...

      Telekom museum is free to visit,full of communication device artiifact at there, National Musuem need to pay,however not expansive,same to military museum,no need to pay

      @@MaxChernov the Islamic Museum at the Lake Gardens is fantastic. There is an entrance fee though, but that whole area where the museum is is worth exploring. Take a ride on the hop-on hop-off buses - I think it's one of their stops

National Museum, Textile Museum, Islamic Art Museum, Craft Museum in KL Craft Complex, P Ramlee Memorial, Galeria Sri Perdana, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Memorial, Tun Abdul Razak Memorial, The Royal Museum... dont forget to check out the National Monument and National Palace too.

    Singapore is very small, you cannot even do a road trip there LOL..If you want to get to know Malaysia you must explore more a little bit, don't just stay in center KL, try exploring the surrounding like Selangor, so many to see. I recommend you visit Putrajaya if you love building and architecture, very beautiful especially at night

    Much way more cheaper in Malaysia. 5 star service , food, accommodation, variety. Nasi or rice it self we have nasi goreng, nasi lemak, nasi ayam, nasi tomato, nasi mamak, briayani, nasi kerabu, nasi dagang, nasi campur, nasi daging, nasi hujan panas etc...that only rice and long list of noodles.. Malaysia is heaven of foods

      @@MaxChernov yeap! It lands at Subang airport instead of KLIA. Subang airport nearer to the city centre and there a train station beside it . Train ticket cost RM 3.50 instead of the ridiculous RM50 KLIA express train to city centre.

      @@MaxChernov for context, I stayed at woodlands. I left home at 9am, took the fligh to KL from Seletar at 9.45am, land at subang 1030am, took grab to hotel beside KLCC, check in and in the room by 11am. And I'm not kidding. Literally grab - fly - grab.

As i saw alot of mainland China citizens comment Kuala Lumpur as a dirty, not well developed, poor traffic even worst then grade 4 cities in mainland China. As compared to all those comments, i am glad and shown my appreciation for your kind words and visit, enjoy your trip in Kuala Lumpur. Malaysia still got alot of things to learn from the rest of the world.

      i'm malaysian too have been in china for a years , going to new city and old city, yeah i can say all new city is clean but the problem is no people there, make this new building feel empty and most chinese situated in village, the most surprised me is a lots of chinese skin color just like malay very brown one

    I am from Kuala Lumpur. It is a nice city but the problem is walkability/accessibility by pedestrian, much less the disabled or parents with strollers. Until we have that sorted out I really don't think it could come near to comparison with Singapore and New York.

    As a local KL and Malaysian Chinese, Chinatown is more of a tourist attraction these days. You hardly find any Chinese that actually lives in Chinatown.

    Kuala Lumpur is way better than New York. They both have rats (I've seen them in KL), but not rats the size of cats on subway trains, and crackheads peeing everywhere like the supposed richest city on earth.
