Here are tips for tourists coming to Malaysia. Malaysia is a humid country. So wearing airy, light clothing is highly recommend. Malaysia although quite a modern country ( though not as modern as West or Japan perhaps) is relatively a religious country. So as tourist, when you visit temples, mosques, churches etc, modest dressing is a must. Do some research before hand to know the clothing rules and code.

A fellow local Malaysian here. Here are some tips and comments:
    1. I think you came during the recent festive season of Hari Raya and as usual it's always hard to get e-hailing during festive seasons. Grab service is very useful in big cities for moving and food delivery.
    2. Most restaurants and shops close at 10 PM. Again, I think you guys came during the recent festive seasons. It's not uncommon to see certain local fast food called "Mamak" in Malaysia to operate even after midnight. Malaysia is a hot country, locals prefer to hangout at night.
    3. You were on the wrong side of PETRONAS Twin Towers. You should have entered the big mall under it and go to the other side where there is a big public park and water fountain for better photography.
    4. If you are still in Kuala Lumpur, go to the following attractions: Taman Tugu (via Grab), Ilham Tower Gallery (via LRT), Merdeka Square (via LRT), Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM, via Grab), National Museum (via MRT)
    5. Go hiking highpoints or trekking to waterfalls around Kuala Lumpur and the surrounding suburbs. KL is an urban area surrounded by many nearby hills and mountains.
    6. Always ask locals if you are lost or need some guidance. Malaysians generally are generally friendly and love to help.

Happened me to see your vlog just now. I enjoyed it. Particularly aerial view and editing. From the comments of viewers, I could get an idea of other places too.
Malaysia is the first foreign country I visited from India in the year 2000. That was not my wish but as part of my onsite assignment. I felt sad to take that offer because I was newly married by that time and leave my wife alone. But from the time I landed at Kuala Lumpur International airport I started enjoying to be there. What a beautiful, greenery and clean country. I was given accommodation at Palm Court, Brickfields. Daily we around 30 employees used to go from Brickfields to Klang Container Terminal. I think that was about 50 Kilo meter distance. The entire route was greenery. We use to cross a toll. That is the first time I saw a toll and that too such a big. Each side of the road there were about 10 lanes.
That is the sweet memory, I was keep telling my wife that I will take her to Malaysia for a tour trip and that happened in the year 2017. I took her to Petronas Towers, KL Tower, Batu Caves, Genting Islands and some more places. She enjoyed the trip. I felt happy as I could made her happy.
    Thanks for your video.

KL is actually my favourite city that I have travelled to. KL is one of the cleanest cities that I have visited along with Seville, Abu Dhabi, Doha, Singapore, Dubai and probably Rome. I agree that Batu Caves does have a bit of a stench but good place to visit. Right next to KL Tower is the Eco Forest which you could have gone to. If you are visiting mosques, always check the prayer times in the city you visit. Usually mosques are opened for tourists between 9.00am and 12 noon and maybe between 2pm and 3pm. I'm a Muslim from the UK and visited many mosques around the world so I know when the prayer times start. Petronas Towers at night is amazing and I agree that KL Tower has a good 360 degrees view of the city compared to Petronas Towers. If you see Jamek Mosque at night with the River of Life, it is beautifully lit up. Petronas Towers fountain show was on the other side in KLCC Park area
I'm pretty sure that a lot of restaurants close around 10pm because I've been to these places. Bukit Bitang is a great place to hang out at night

In Malaysia businesses don't operate according to prayer time. Even tho it is a Muslim majority country, we are not as practical or strict as the middle eastern countries. Maybe you came during Eid which is a major holiday event (which lasted for a week) in the whole country and everyone are still outside of Kuala Lumpur back at their hometown. During Eid most restaurant are closed since it has been 2 years (due to covid and lockdowns) we are not allowed to go and travel back to our hometown (it is a culture here to go back and have a reunion with our whole family to celebrate Eid).

We didn’t know. In our country it’s a little bit different. Whenever there’s a celebration, the cities get MUCH more busy and cab drivers, uber and other ride hailing services are working even more than usual, because it’s their opportunity to make the most money.

There is the beautiful mosque Masjid Jamek. And for shopping go to central market it is all in the same area for food I recommand the restaurant precious it is a baba nyonya restaurant on the second floor hidden in a corner. If you have time to go a bit outside there is a beautiful blue mosque Masjid wilayah persekutuan ( you can visit it for free but not during prayer time and avoid the Friday). There is also a beautiful Chinese thean hou temple. You can also visit the nation museum muzium negara it is only 1 dollar per person and there is a free visit everyday in english at 10 am. You most probably are in Kuala Lumpur during a major festival hence less traffic on the roads and some shops closed. Eateries are open round the clock as we are a multi racial country. @@AttilaAndZae Malacca is quite a historical state. You will see many old buildings (dated back when it was a sovereign empire around 1511). It is dubbed the Historic City, which has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 7 July 2008.
Malacca has adopted as its slogan, "Visiting Malacca Means Visiting Malaysia".
After the falls of Malacca Sultanate/empire, it was taken over by Dutch (14 Jan 1641), then British (17 Mar 1824), and Japanese occupation 11 Jan 1942.

Try to visit Putrajaya as well. Modern city for government's administration offices. Masjid Putra is a must visit location, spectacular 'pink mosque' just beside a lake. It's also in front of the Prime Minister's office, the Perdana Putra. Just take a Grab service and put Masjid Putra or Putra Mosque, Putrajaya as your destination. It's just around 40 minutes drive from KL.

And young....because in Malaysia you walk a lot if you really want to visit streets , towers , parks and plenty of beautiful places to see. If you are not a local you should always ask about spicy and hot food before you order to avoid stomach ache. It's better to prevent bacause if you need a toilet sometimes it's difficult to find one and might have a really bad experience. It depends where you are of course. Many people who are thinking of going to M'sia ask me about the problem of public toilets when you are going around. There must be some truth in that matter and government should do something to solve this problem and then Malaysia would really be a paradise!
About Batu Caves I' ve been once but not everywhere. I think the monkeys are quite nervous and besides trying to grab whatever they can from tourists they show the teeth and make you frightened. They can also bite and who knows if they've got rabies....and I hate to see bats excrements here and there and litter not removed. It's a pity because Batu is worth going and enjoying it.Let's see how I find it this next year....
Anyway this couple are doing excellent vídeos for people to see.I wish them the best.🤗🤗🤗🤗

Maybe you guys arrived during Eid holiday season (where most of grab drivers went back to their hometown to celeberate Eid).Things should be back to normal now (Grab services) since it is already 2 weeks from 1st Eid day.

The light show and water fountain was on the other side of Petronas tower. Near the Park.

Hey, you missed the fountain show in KLCC, its on the other side where the park was, not at the front side.
The other fountain was much more spectacular.

We will check out the fountain in the back in an upcoming video 😊 We didn’t know about it.
