    Love watching your vids mate, I’ve only ever been fishing twice in my life and the first time I went the only fish I caught was a foul hooked perch that was about 3” long 😂😂 but I was always fascinated buy the skill it takes to do what you need to to catch some and land it. Do you ever eat any of your catches? Are you even allowed to? Keep em coming and I’ll keep watching 😊

    • @whitetroutchannel

      feather your line when your casting and always keep it under tension when your picking up loose line at the start of the retrieve

      @@whitetroutchannel No need to feather the line if you keep the braid under tension after the previous cast mate.

    • @joechappell368
      @joechappell368 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@richardjones2811 I always like to feather the line when windy or casting close to snags, helps stopping a huge bow in the line when the lure hits the water, and many fish take the lure at this point, with a big bow in the line you might not feel the bite before its too late. And when fishing near snags, feathering it can help with being more accurate.

      @@joechappell368 Each to their own but we have both highlighted the issues and how to resolve them.
      By the way just stopping the braid before the lure hits the water will reduce the bow significantly. Then giving a good tug on the rod will totally eliminate it.

    is there any chance catching a carp on those lures? i know with spinners you can but idk about jerks have you had any experience? just asking so i could go to carp ponds for big pike btw love the vids!

    • @joechappell368
      @joechappell368 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lot's of big carp lakes also hold big pike, they compliment each other well. The pike eat the smaller fish which means more food and less competition for the carp. Most carp lakes don't allow lure fishing as they're worried about people foul hooking a carp but deadbaits will always work just as well on these venues.

    • @adventurefishinguk
      @adventurefishinguk  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not really a chance of a carp on a pike lure. In the right situation you'd have a chance with a lot of perch lures though
